I suffer pain from a sciatic nerve condiction. Can I take the drug,"Gabapentin" to relieve these pains?

I am wondering, if someone has a shot of Southern Comfort when they have a headache, when their body aches like an injury pinched nerve acts up, when they have a sore throat etc. is that too much? To me, my comfort level, there are medicines that can help and why not try these first, then slap a shot of hard liquor back. Am I wrong to feel this way? Or is it all in what your comfort level is?

They have classified my injury as complete but I have heard in rare cases they are mistaken. I guess I’m just looking for a little hope

I have a split spinal cord, chiari malformation and fibromyalgia. I have numbness in my right leg and about 4 months ago my left leg started burning and migrated to my left foot. Now my skin on my left heel is peeling away.

The motor must not work or something else is wrong because it wont deflate or inflate.

I have never had the opportunity to actually sit in a kayak but it looks like it might be stressful on the lower back because you have to sit up straight with no back support. I only ask because I had a lower back injury at one time and I am worried that kayaking might irritate the old injury. I really would like to give it a try though because it looks like tons of fun. Anyone with experience want to offer their opinion?

My mom has severe sciatic nerve pain and due to insurance problems she cannot go to the doctor or emergency room for it. I read up on it from a few sites and I told her move around when she is able to and she has heat wraps on her back. Ice made the pain worse. She can barely walk because she can’t put weight on her left leg at all. This is day 2 of this and she is miserable and I’m miserable watching her. What can she do for now to help the pain go away?

This dentist came extremely close to taking my life. I want to see if I can find out somehow, if he’s had any malpractice suits placed against him, and what the outcome was. I took a wrestling shot on a very big man in my martial arts class. ( Which is like diving into him to try and force him to the ground). I tripped and my upper body caught him and my hip thrusted forward until it could not anymore…. anyway I gave it like a few weeks and it has gotten a lot better but is still bothering me so I stopped going to martial arts and I am gonna call the doctor tomm.
