I am a foreign medical graduate. Having finished my medical training I have been doing my graduate studies in health promotion and applying for residency training for a position that begins in June 07. I am curious if I can do a brief clinical training and also be provided malpractice insurance coverage for the same? I have done observerships in the past with attending physicians (with no or minimal hands on clinical involvement).
Is their a company which provides ‘brief’ insurance coverage to foreign trained physicians? I would appreciate insightful answers.

Last 3-4 days have been having MAJOR lower back problems. It started hurting one day while doing work in an attic and I twisted funny coming out of the attic. On top of this, my bed is about 10 years old, very soft (ZERO FIRMNESS) and actually slouchs a little in the middle. So now over these last few days it’s gotten worse and worse, and even when I walk sometimes I feel my right leg give way as the pain shoots down in a wrapping sensation from my lower back to my leg. What can I do besides seek help from a medical physician? Stretching? What to do while sleeping? Pain meds? Muscle Relaxers?

I know its in the grey matter of the brain, but is it also in the dorsal or ventral roots?
Sorry, grey matter of the spinal cord, not the brain.

I was wondering if anyone else had similar symtoms.
Or si joint problems and symptoms. Please Please explain how you are feeling and any tips or advice you may have thank you.

Sometime last week I was doing shoulder presses, and seeing as how they are behind my neck I was sitting strait up with a bit of pressure on my lower back. After that day my lower spine has been killing me. It feels like my vertebrae are smashing in on each other (though I doubt it). And today I was bending over a bit (not a whole lot by any means) and I almost fell over from the pain. It was enough to stop my vision for a moment. Do you think that the pain could be caused by the shoulder presses? And If so, what can I do to avoid future injury?

Has anyone ever had a bulging disc in the lower thoracic spine? I woke up the other morning feeling like I had a bruise right in the middle of my back. My husband thinks it’s a bulging disc. I feel intense pain when slight pressure is applied to a specific spot between my vertebrae. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m looking to find out what dollar amounts I guess for body injury property damage comprehensive collision, and uninsured motorist is the least you can have but still have it constitute full coverage. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, here’s the deal… I had a c-section when my son was born. Sometime later I developed a mass in my abdomen near the scar and it’s incredibly painful! I finally received a "diagnosis" and the doctor is quite confident that it is an endometrioma and it’s there because the doctor that delivered my son, sewed my part of my uterus into the lining of my stomach muscle when he was "closing" me up. (I still have to have corrective surgery to confirm the diagnosis.) If, in fact, this is what happened, I am going to proceed with a malpractice suit. Any ideas as to what is involved, how long it takes, is it worth it, and how much might I expect to get?

I’m 13 & 1/2 weeks pregnant and my lower back and right butt cheek pain is almost unbearable. I didn’t have this type of problem, other than tiny lower back pain, with my first pregnancy. So any tips on how I can relieve the pain?

have a sporting grand final coming up and my lower back is just a bit sore. i have voltaren(anti-inflamitory) and dencorub(deep heat).
i want to rub them together on my back because i like the burn of dendcorub as well as the pain removing of voltaren.
Can i do this?

My dad just went for an MRI. Then got told he had a cyst on his spinal cord and it is taking up about half of the area in the disk channel. The docotor said that his spinlal cord doesn’t show any injury but something like if he starts to have loss of feeling in his arms and legs then t go in. well i dont like that at all. I would like to get all the information i can on this. Please Help.

I have a bulging disc at C5/C6 and a slight herniation in C6/C7. I just had my first epidural injection yesterday and I forgot to ask my doc. I don’t see him until August. But do you know of any physical limitations that I may have? One of the reasons I ask is because my husband owns a Harley Davidson and I love to go riding with him. But now I’m not sure if I am able to now. Any advice would be appreciated.
