I was rear ended while stopped with my foot on the brake at a yield sign craning my body to the left to wait for oncoming traffic. A recent MRI has shown that mild disc bulging in my cervical spine with evidence of CSF visibility. I also have bulging in my T12-L1 along with herniations at the T11-12 and L4-5, which are flattening my thecal sac with fluid in my facet joints. I have awful pain in my back, and I find it impossible to sit in my task chair for more than a few minutes. Driving my standard transmission suv is painful, and comfortable sleep is now just a pleasant memory. I have 22 days until I am able to see the specialist, and I hope to find suggestions and/or answers to my problems. Pain management drugs make me uncomfortable, and what I really want are suggestions for exercises that might enable me to sleep without pain. It is so intense that I have actually been dreaming about this pain because I make it bearable even for sleep.

When I was about 14 years old I fell off a trampoline and messed up 6 of my vertebrates. I went to the chiropractor and had them treated for about 3 months and eventually stopped going. Now, I am 18 and I have been physically active in several sport in school. I recently had an injury relating to my back during weight lifting about 3 months ago. The doctor said I had just strained my back so I took pain medicine and dis inflammatory. Now, I went for a free checkup at the chiropractor and he said the reason I have back injuries so often is because I have scoliosis in my lower back as a result from earlier injuries that weren’t treated properly. All he did to determine this was ask me where it hurt and X-ray me. Is it possible he is correct on his diagnosis? Or is there a chance he is incorrect because I have never been diagnosed with scoliosis before and I always receive my yearly physical. I am very worried can anyone advise me?

There is now a great controversy over the amount of monetary awards that are granted to plaintiffs in malpractice lawsuits brought against doctors and other medical personnel by patients. For instance, James Nelson dies of cancer and his widow feels that he did not receive proper medical treatment. If he had, he would have survived. She files a lawsuit against the hospital and doctors. The jury awards her,000,000 in damages.
- Do you feel such awards are excessive? Why or why not?
- Should there be a limit on the amount that can be awarded for medical malpractice suits? Why or why not?

I’m 37 weeks pregnant and when I have a braxton hicks contraction my left hip’s muscle squeezes so tight my nerve hurts and the pain shoots down my leg? It’s so bad I have to sit down and sometimes tears stream down my face. Have you ever had this or heard of it. I’ve already told the doctor. I just want to know if any other pregnant or former pregnant mom has ever experienced this.

I have a low back pain issue that makes it difficult to buy just any car. The Honda Accord and some Civic models have the perfect lumbar support system for my back. Unfortunately, I need a car that is not so low to the ground since our driveway is a long, uphill gravel one. Since I have had luck with the Honda Accord, I have looked into the CRV and found that the earlier models did not have the lumbar support option and caused me alot of pain when I test drove them. Does anyone know if Honda re-engineered the driver’s seat in the CRV and if so, when? Thanks!

I see my cat concentrating intently and her tail is swishing with her thought. Other times she is seemingly unaware and not intentionally performing this tail movement voluntarily

The same politicians who promote increased government control of health care in the US are against placing caps on malpractice awards for pain and suffering as a possible cure for escalating costs. Once we have Government controlled health care can we sue government doctors? If not, can we try the caps first before politicians micromanage our doctor visits? How does it work in other socialist nations?
