Can you have sex with a herniated disc in your back?

had a herniated disc in my lower back for about 4 months now.I wanted to know can would it still be ok if me and my girlfriend had sex?Will we have to have to cut down on sex?Will sex make the pain and the herniated disc more worse?

Sure you can, but keep in mind….any abnormal positions may put pressure on the injury…so I would keep it simple if ya know what I mean!
Haven’t you seen a neurosurgeon, or chiropractor for this injury? You should ultimately ask them. I have 2 herniated discs I received in 1999 from a car wreck….not bad enough for surgery, just bad enough to cause me pain and mental anguish the rest of my life! But life goes on……I’m not giving up on sex! Good luck with that.
Like any other activity, take it easy, give it a try and see how it goes.
Put some ice on your back afterwards if you’re not sure. It may actually help your condition!

Yes you can have sex. Having sex will not worsen the pain.
As long as you are no longer suffering from acute pain.
Herniated disc is something you learn to live with over a period of time. Once the pain is no longer there you should slowly start doing lower back exercises to strengthen your back. Take care of your posture and don’t lift heavy stuff. You will be back to normal very soon. God bless….
