Cervical Herniated Disc Healing
When cervical herniated disc healing is needed due to an injury, inflammation or pinching of the nerve or disc itself, you need proper diagnosis and treatment.
It may be possible that you will either need traditional surgery, disc replacement or spinal fusions, or other treatments, depending on the seriousness of the condition. Sometimes it is possible you may only need physical therapy or chiropractic care to relieve the pain and pressure of the cervical herniated disc.
Neck and arm pain may be caused by a herniated disc or as it is sometimes referred to as a slipped disc. The disc is not really slipped, but rather it can have a tear causing pain as the fluid inside pushes against the nerves surrounding the tissue in that area.
A ruptured or herniated cervical is actually a very common cause of neck, shoulder and arm pain. Symptoms may include dull or sharp pain in the neck or between the shoulder blades, pain that radiates down the arm to the hand or fingers, or numbness or tingling in the shoulder or arm. Certain positions or movements of the neck can intensify the pain greatly.
