How can I get my auto insurance to pay for medical treatment two years after accident?
I was treated right after the accident for whiplash. It’s in my medical records but then was unable to go to treatment for some time because of other problems but injury got worse now the chiropractor won’t work on me because he says the insurance company won’t usually pay after this time loss. Also the auto insurance company won’t preauthorize treatment and I can’t afford the a visit co-pay required for using my health insurance. I’m on Social Security.

Nope, you can’t put ‘treatment’ on hold forever. If you REALLY needed it, you should have gotten it at the time. Being able to go two years without it, pretty much means you didn’t need it back then.
Plus, chiro treatments don’t have the same weight as a medical doctor treatment.

What coverage did your policy even provide for medical? Most auto policies are very limited in this regard. You SHOULD be using your health insurance.
Normally the auto insurance will pay for the medical treatment within the first two years of the accident, since this is the normal time period within which one can file a suit or a claim for injury and medical treatment. However, this would again depend upon the prevailing legal time-period for filling a claim or suit with the insurance company ie. against the insurance company of the car with whom you collided. The time period of placing the claim with your own insurance company also differs as per the prevailing state norms.
Please first read your policy condition and see if this time period specified - it would be given under the general conditions wordings of the policy. Take the help of your state insurance department regulatory authority on this - since you cannot obviously afford a legal opinion.

I doubt you can since you refused treatment at the time of the injury.
It could easily be argued that your present situation is your choice, caused by you refusing to receive treatment when it was initially made, not the accident itself.
