My friend is moving to TN from FL. Her brother was badly injured in a four wheeler acident. Only two weeks out from loosing their current Health insurance. Process of moving, will she still be able to quit her job?

If currently insured on a group plan, look into COBRA coverage offered by the employer for those living in TN. If COBRA is not available, then Portability coverage is the next option.
It will be difficult to obtain individual coverage for those with serious pre-existing conditions. It would not hurt to apply for individual coverage in any case to see if the brother would be accepted. Realize though that if he accepts the policy he loses the right to COBRA or Portabilty.
