I rear ended a car at an intersection as the car stopped for a green light. I was at fault. The police and ambulance came, but everyone declined medical services. Both me, police and fire asked the other driver multiple times if the driver was fine and the driver said he was. The driver and I both drove our cars home the scene. What are rulesa civil suit for injuries and stuff? Since the driver said he was fine than he waived his rights? I am only worried about a civil suit as insurance will cover all else.

I have blood in my semen and pee and severe abdominal cramps. My mom is a retired nurse and figured it was a ruptured kidney. I have passed out for a moment 2 times while waiting for the ambulance to come. They will have to take my kidney out. Anyone been through this? What should I be expecting? Thanks.

The airbag was deployed, which cause injuries to her face, neck, mouth, nose and arms. She was bleeding from several areas and the police did not call ambulance. They asked her (age 17..first ever accident) if she wanted medical and she just nodded no. Shouldnt they call regardless? The ER nurses and dr’s went ballistic. She was in shock with lots of blood oozing from her nose and mouth. Her parents drove her to the hospital. Anyone know what should have happened here? NO drugs or alcohol was involved and they knew that..they put her in the back seat of the cop car and told her to shut up (she was obviously crying and upset) This happened in Winnebago Illinois
my brother was called to the scene and found his daughter in the back seat of the cop car, bleeding and crying uncontrollably. The cop told him to shut up when he asked why she was in the car and no EMT. He got upset and called the cop a naughty name and the cop told him if he didn’t leave or shut up he would be tassed. Several witness to the fact that my bro did not do anything other then call the cop a p@#@ for not letting him talk to his daughter. When the cops arrived, she was laying on the ground next to the car and they yanked her up my her arms and pushed her into the cop car by her arm, shoulder and head. The next day, she had finger bruises on her upper arm (and you can see finger prints) which we took pics of.

My husband got his finger smashed off over 2 weeks ago by a fellow co-worker (who still has a job). He has not had surgery yet, on Thursday 2 weeks ago he was driven to the hospital by a safety guy instead of them calling an ambulance, they told him that he was going into surgery. They gave him shots to numb his finger (they had his finger on Ice within 10 mins of it being smashed off) then they told him their discharging him and that their going to make sure his companies insurance was going to cover it. I told him they couldn’t refuse service and that’s what they did. They told him that the hand specialist was on his way to see him and then they changed it and said their going to make him an appointment. I was just wanting to know if anyone knew any good lawyers around the Arlington, Tx area. Also to add on to this he had over time for that week and even went to work on that Sunday after the incident with his finger still off because they said they were going to pay him (he’s a Foreman) and they paid him for 40 hours only and told him its because they filed workers comp.

i got my finger stuck on the school bathroom door and i was bleeding allot a tip of my finger fell of with a piece of my nail and meanwhile i was freakin out my friends took me to the nurse and the nurse was all calm like if nothing happend and she was hurring up me and my friends to leave because she had a meating and meanwhile i needed an ambulance because it was an emergancy i was waiting for my mom to pik me up should i sew them .? or just leave it like that and my finger disformed

My daughter fell in gymnastics and couldn’t move when the ambulance came. Once she got to the hospital she began to move her legs just fine but had limited mobility in her arms and hands. She had a swollen, bruised and scraped up neck. Her MRI, x-rays,and CT scans all showed nothing. She was discharged after 4 days but she cannot move her fingers at all. This took place a month ago now. The physician mentioned Central Cord Syndrome. Can she still have this even though her tests were clean? Her neck was swollen for a few weeks; this cannot be nothing.

I was in a car wreck. Everyone seemed to be ok at the scene; no ambulance was called. Now, the other party is claiming injury. Now, I was hurting at the scene but to say I was injured well…How do insurance companies take to people who claim injury after the fact. I know it is possible to have injuries show up later but this guy was all over the place at the scene. Any input? thanks

The young woman was cited for failing to yield/ran a stop sign. My husband was driving our car to work when it happened. After a few minuites he began to feel sore in his shoulder & neck. The Ambulance was called to look at his shoulder and neck area. They put ice on it & advised him take Advil. Now he is feeling pain & soreness. He is a server ,so he lifts & uses the arm to make a living.
This all happend on Disney property, in Florida.
So, what do you suggest we tell her Insurance company to make sure this is handled appropiately and we don’t get taken ?

I was recently pulled over for an expired tag in Birmingham and told that I had an outstanding warrant in Tuscaloosa for a DUI from 2005. I was taken to Tuscaloosa Police Department and had a court date set. At my court date I had to plead not guilty to get a continuance and now at my next court date I need a lawyer to get the case dismissed. I wasn’t even in the car when the cops came to the wreck, I was never read my rights, never arrested, never asked to take a Breathalyzer test. I was taken to the hospital by ambulance and released the next day. I am now on disability and have 5 children. If I go to jail, my check and the checks they receive on my behalf each month will be taken away. I need a good lawyer that can work out payment plans. My court date is next Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Please help me if you know anyone!!!!

I was driving on a highway going about 68-70 in a 65 mph zone. A full sized truck pulling a boat trailer (no boat, just trailer) behind it did a turn around in an emergency vehicle ONLY turn around on the interstate. I hit the back of the trailer at about 40 mph after slamming on brakes and attempting to pull to the other lane (but there was an 18 wheeler blocking my way). I was not cited for the accident. The other driver was cited for failure to yield in an emergency turn around.

I was brought to the emergency room via ambulance, and suffered a sprained ankle (that now 4 months later I had to have surgery on because it was misdiagnosed).

The at fault party’s insurance is saying that I failed to keep a proper lookout and are trying to say I’m equally at fault for this accident. I currently have a lawyer who is sending in my demands next week for my losses’ including pain and suffering, medical bills, loss of work, future pain, car damages, and everything else included in the settlement.

My question is, am I equally liable? I don’t feel that I am at fault here. As soon as I saw that he was pulling out from the turn around I attempted to slow down. We collided not even 1/15 a mile from where he turned around. He claimed he was up to 50 mph before I hit him, But with the damage I did to his vehicle he was only going about 25 mph.

Also with medical bills and missed work and all the amount I owe/ deserve before pain and suffering is around ,000. After surgery and missing work and not being able to walk around for 3 months we’re putting suffering at 4x the bills. Is this too much to ask for?

I didn’t actually hit the vehicle from the rear, I hit them on the side of the trailer when they were pulling out. But they didn’t stop until about 1/15 of a mile later. So they were still pulling out when I struck them. To clear up the rear ending issue. I meant earlier that we were cited 1/15th of a mile from the turn around’ not collided.

My wife was hit by a car crossing a street. The car was obviously at fault, but it did not stop… so it was a hit and run. An ambulance and ER visit was needed.

What insurance should be paying for these costs? I paid my health insurance ER visit copay at the hospital but they said my auto insurance would likely cover it and the other costs?

I called my auto insurer and they said they will cover it under personal injury…. and it doesn’t sound like there’s a deductible involved. I’m afraid however that it will raise my rates.

My questions…
Do you think my rates will be raised if I go through my auto insurance?
If so, can I go through my health insurance instead? Or will my health insurance just say it needs to go through auto anyways?
Is an ambulance ride covered by one or the other, or both?

There is not an option of me paying it myself in either scenario. It would either be health or auto. But I don’t want to use auto, unless there is no other option as they may raise rates… which is one of my questions. Health insurance would obviously not raise my rates since it is through my place of my employment.

I am at work but my dad has been having severe back problems. He couldnt move without becoming so consumed with pain he starts shaking uncontrollably and crying/feels like vomitting. And this is my dad- the macho man.

My mom called the ambulance this morning and when they got there, they came in and told him he had to walk out to the ambulance and refused to carry him out.

Despite protests, despite voicing the fact he has a severe spinal injury, despite how much pain he was in, despite the fact that these people are trained to starp people down very securely, moving them as little as possible with a neck brace if they even THINK it MIGHT be back problems, instead they forced him to walk under his own will, THEY DIDNT EVEN HELP HIM WALK! my brother had to try to carry him by himself.

What the hell? i mean seriously. I WISH MORE THAN ANYTHING I was there and this **** would not have gone down. these assholes deserve to get fired, they could have seriously messed up his back even more. the worst part is:

so maybe they couldnt fit the strecher in his room; FINE. put his arms over both ur shoulders, help him walk out to where there is room for the strecher, or BETTER YET CARRY HIS *** BETWEEN THE TWO OF YOU- hes not a big guy- the shortest distance, and have the strecher READY FOR HIM! INSTEAD, THEY MADE HIM STAND THERE FOR 5 MINUITES WHILE THEY SET THE STRECHER UP after making him walk all the way out on the driveway to the ambulance- and dont be mistaken, this was a feat consideering his shaking, crying, outcries of pain when he was trying to just move his legs last night, i dont even know how he managed.

Can anyone make sense of this? i told my mom to file an official complaint in case they did make his back worse,we have official records and documentation thats how they handled it. I am feeling helpless and i really want to go up there and make sure he gets proper treatement because my mom bless her heart isnt a young strong male who wont take this kind of bullshit.

and my dad is a registered nurse at the hospital they are taking him to, i would hope they would treat one of their own better!. he didnt say anything though-and im pissed about that- because hes a stupid "proud" man or whatever and isnt going to "be a *****", but still these guys should have known better!
