I was driving home after hanging out with some friends last night…I knew I shouldn’t have been drinking and dirving, but I felt that I could make it home. And I almost did. About one mile from my apartment, A sheriff’s deputy pulled me over, did the field sobriety test, and the breathalyzer, which I blew a .15. He took me downtown, I was booked and ultimately released to my mom. I never gave him any problems, and he was very nice to me, as I was to him. Shook his hand even when I left and thanked him for doing his job. (Hey, I’m in the military, and I do the same thing, in a sense)

So, anyways, this is my first and last DWI. I am quitting drinking. I need some advice from prior offenders on what to expect on how much to pay a lawyer. My license was revoked for 30 days and I have to be in court on Sept. 15. I live in North Carolina, if that will help your answer.

Please help…I’m a nervous wreck after this and I feel awful about this. I feel like I really f’d up my life.

got hurt on the job in aug.2004, in Texas, at a huge corporation. Now I am still hurting, was fired in feb.2005 for not being able to return back to work, and the insurance company is and has been denying all claims for medical therapy and medications–no income, no relief, and my career is over!! i have undergone 5 different surgeries on lower back since incident, and am better, but by no means the energetic and productive young woman I was almost 3 years ago! I am only 28 years old, and I am so scared to do anything that I am feeling afraid of the whole world outside my apartment, even!! I was employee of the Year for the state of Texas(only 2 chosen!! out of over 700,000 employees in this state alone!)and was an established and successful Manager of Sales and retail Store and responsible for all the employees in the store as well as the work itself–which they have ripped from me-I truelly love me-but, I cannot find her…I feel like I have been erased from everything that mattered

I’m looking for things to build my case because my lawyer seems to not be interested in doing it. I wasnt red my miranda rights…when they sent all my information to my lawyer the sent someone elses driving record…the information they sent said the officer did the breath test and actually a college student working there did everything the officer just stood in the room…i was only pulled over for turning right out of a straight lane because i missed the turn lane that was hidden by trees (stoped at the stop sign used my blinker)…pulled over off the road in MY APARTMENT complex (no traffic didnt drive bad, never even saw anyone else on the road…so i didnt endanger anyone)…Also I’ve tried to research it but havnt found anything, I have hemophilia and was wondering if there was anything that has to be done different when breath testing, arresting or incarcerating someone with hemophilia…any information will help thanks.

Now I ended up doing 6 months of chiropractic visits and 2 months of physical therapy. I don’t feel different and I am going to have permanant back and neck damage (not severe just not comfortable to be on my feet a long time, sleep, or do strenuous activities, I’m a Chef). That’s not it. My wife was about 37-38 weeks pregnant, and we went to a doctors visit a couple hours after the accident. She wasn’t in the car, but freaked out when she heard the accident and came out of the apartment and saw it was me. The doctor diagnosed her with preeclamsia (high stress during pregnancy) because of the accident and had to induce her that night. The drugs slowed the baby’s heart rate, so they had to give a c-section. They only offered k to start and they say my wife doesn’t matter because she wasn’t in the car. suggestions?

First of all both the cars were totaled. I have soft tissue damage, and my back seems to mis-align easily. I had not had any health problems prior at all. I only went to the chiropractor that long because my insurance said to just see if it helps, even though I told them 2 months into it that it hadn’t helped. I had visits 3 times a week. An IME was done, and they said to go to 10 visits of PT and if that didn’t help they may have to rule it as a permanant injury. Though, to get proof, what should I do? It was ruled 100% her fault so it doesn’t really matter with my policy. The medical bills were probably about 00 total. I most likely can get a letter from my wife’s OB which was also the on-call doctor, saying it was related with the accident. When we went in that day, thats when she was diagnosed, the OB actually asked what the hell happened that day. Do you think that would do the trick? It happened in Washington State

My dachshund Dexter has a slipped disc. He was on bed rest for a couple weeks and the past week or so I’ve been doing exercises with him in the bathtub. Anyway he is starting to walk. Before he would just drag his legs, now he puts his back legs up as normal but after a few steps they wobble like he is unsteady and usually he plops down, then gets back up. Is this normal? I’ve had to carry him to the grass a ways from my apartment because he’s still dragging a bit and on the concrete it hurts his skin.

Will he always be a bit wobbly like this? I hope it will get better..it will be probably not be completely gone but enough that he’s able to walk more easily..are there any other exercises I should do with him besides the bathtub to get his back legs strong again (ive noticed he has put on a bit of muscle). Should I encourage him to move as much as possible inside (on the carpet)? Thank you
yes Ive seen the vet twice (once right after he slipped the disc and the last time about 2 weeks ago)

I got a DWI on New Years this year, worst thing in my and life and it was caused by my own actions… sucks. I am looking to move and picked up an application from a new aparment complex then noticed at the bottom it asked if you had ever been convicted of a Criminal Offense. Has having a DWI affected anyone from getting an apartment?

My husband & I are trying to apply for apartments but I get so worry because of his DWI-misdemeanor. Do you guys think he can still approve for an apartment with the DWI? I mean, he’s not an alocoholic. Bad things just happens to good people sometimes, don’t you guys think? It gets so stressing !!!! NEED ADVICEEEE! Helppppp!
