The reason I ask this is because I deal with progressive claims and some people are suckered into their low rates because they deceptively get customers to waive their rights to PIP (personal injury protection.) They give people an ,000 PIP deductible. That means the ,000 that auto insurance is responsible to pay when you get into an auto accident has to come out of your pocket. So I ask that question to see if anyone else has any horror stories about Flo and her awesome company.

I need to find an independent, qualified person/service to provide expert testimony for an insurance settlement case. Specifically, to provide an assessment of the nature, extent, and prognosis of injuries I sustained in an auto accident – with the possibility of using this information if the case goes to court. I have looked online for "disability assessments", "disability profiles", etc., but am not finding anything in my local area (Portland, Oregon). Any suggestions?

I am writing a paper on DUI laws and how they are not severe enough in virginia, and my focus is the laws concerning fatalities or injuries due to an auto accident while driving under the influence. I have searched for laws about this and can find nothing. All I have found is the basic DUI laws. Does anyone know anything about this?? I have to do a 5 minute presentation on this and am coming up extremely short! Help!

I slightly tore my rotator cuff in an auto accident about 2 years ago. It wasnt bad enough for surgery, and for the most part the pain is gone, but when i do regular simple activities (rake, sweep, etc) the pain will come back. I have also noticed sometimes in the morning when i wake up it is stiff and sore. I dont know what to do!! I cant avoid the activities i am doing and aspirin/pain reliever doesnt help at all. I also have a hottub i soak it in but that doesnt help either. I feel stuck with this annoying injury, but i dont want or need surgery. It isnt sore all the time either..Any suggestions?

ok, to make a LONG story short… I was in an auto accident where i was stopped at a red light and a woman in an SUV thought the light was green and slammed into me at full speed. my car was totalled and i’ve been dealing with major neck pain. i’ve got subluxation in my neck where basically all of the vertebrea have twisted to the right side the top of my spine is crooked and the curve of my neck has been straightened. and i have a badly pinched nerve in my collarbone. it’s been 6 weeks and i’m still in pain. i am not able to do my job anymore. the chiropractor says that he sees improvement but it’s going to be a slow recovery and if he can’t fix me he will send me to a specialist. i’m either going to have to quit or i’m going to get fired because i can’t do the duties that are require for my job and i keep missing work because of it. my question is, does anybody know of some way that i can get money to pay my bills while i’m out of work? i am going to get an injury settlement but i won’t see any of that money until i’m released from anything medical. i really need time off to heal because the problem is i’ve been working and haven’t been able to heal but i don’t know if there’s some way to get money from the insurance for that? by the way, the insurance company of the woman who hit me is paying for everything. i was also thinking of leave of absence but i know i won’t get paid that way either. i’m getting very worried. any advice?

I was in an auto accident with 3 passengers in November 2009 and the insurance company of the car at fault keeps calling me. It was a 5-car accident and we were the last ones to get hit. I’m going to get a lawyer to deal with them but just curious on how long I have to file any claims. Is there an expiration period for this type of stuff? I live in California by the way.

In October 2009, I was involved in a auto accident. Another car crashed into my car. I got injured below my knee,and had to stay home for around 4 months, before returning to work. I never really recovered and from Feb 2011 I was again in pain and had to go on FMLA leave for the last 3 months and Im currently on short term disability.

Now my question is related to filing the claim against my insurance company ( the person who hit me did not have insurance ). Im preparing all the papers required to file the claim once I recover this time. What I want to know is what are the precautions I need to take while filing the claim with my insurance company ?

I was in a minor auto accident. It was the other drivers fault. I was injured. I went to the ER the day of the accident and they said it was cervical strain from where the seatbelt lock so tight onto my neck and shoulder. 5 days later it was really bad,went back to the ER, was told that I was having a muscle spasm that would not let go. Now it is 2 weeks since the accident and my neckand shoulder are still sore. The at fault drivers insurance company called and wants to settle the claim.They want to pay my hospital bills and give me 0 for pain and suffering. I didn’t know they did that. I thought you had to get a lawyer if you wanted money for pain and suffering. I have never even considered getting a lawyer because it was just a minor accident. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Should I take the 0 or do people normally get more then that. I have never been in an accident before. My auto accident was in October. When I call my lawyer to get a status. They just tell me they send the demand letter in January. How long will State Farm take? Is there a time frame they have to answer by?

My daugher was involved in a major auto accident on 5-25-03.
It was her vehical. First the other kids in the car told the Deputy she was driving. Later 2 of the other kids told her attny. that the other person in the car was the one driving. No charges were ever brought against him. My question is-who can we contact to have things investigated as to why. Our local Sherrifs Dept. really handled things all wrong. We were informed by them last week, that there was nothing they would do because time had run out on the statue of limitations. Is this true? We thought it was 7 years. Please any information would be great. Our daughters mental/physical health needs some closure.

We are very fustrated and upset on how the way the county and Sheriffs Dept. handled the investigation, or lack there of. Wondering if there’s a higher level we could go to, to file a complaint, and see if we can get something done.
At the hospital after the accident our daughter was placed under arrest, but no charges where brought against her, because her attorney found out that she wasn’t the one driving. Her question is. Why didn’t the co. press charges against the person driving her car? She did get a settlement from her insurance co. for the loss of her car and most of her medical (she had min. coverage)

I was in a auto accident in September 2009. I am seeing a doctor for my foot injury,I have two fractures in my talus bone, I still have pain and alot of swelling in my foot and I have to keep it elevated alot. It’s been 8 weeks and it’s not healing. I have to go back to the doctor in December to find out if I need surgery. Is there any one that has a similar story and had to have surgery on their foot?
