I am a bodily injury claims adjuster for an auto insurance company with 4 1/2 years experience. I’ve grown tired of the nonsense within our company. I am presently searching for jobs with other companies in all branches of claim handling. However, I’m also thinking about switching fields all together. What other career fields would my experience qualify me for if I decided to change fields? Also, does anyone recommend a good insurance field to enter?

Why would an auto insurance company delay a ruling in an issue of coverage for their policy holder who was liable for a car accident? It has been several weeks since the "supposed" policy holder hit my car and the insurance company says it is still doing an investigation regarding an issue of coverage. The police report already ruled that their policy holder was liable for the accident 100%; there were injuries involved. I have uninsured motorist coverage, but I cannot move forward in terms of closing this until the other party’s insurance company verifies whether or not this person was covered at the time of the accident. I thought having computers was supposed to speed up the process. What benefit would an insurance company have in delaying the ruling?

I was treated right after the accident for whiplash. It’s in my medical records but then was unable to go to treatment for some time because of other problems but injury got worse now the chiropractor won’t work on me because he says the insurance company won’t usually pay after this time loss. Also the auto insurance company won’t preauthorize treatment and I can’t afford the a visit co-pay required for using my health insurance. I’m on Social Security.

I’m trying to work out a settlement with the auto-insurance company over an injury that happened last December. They’re offering ,500, but we want ,000. I was wondering how much it would cost them in legal fees, and lawyer costs if we were to bring this to court. It could help in our bartering if we know they’ll be saving money just settling. Thanks.

If my health insurance pays for my medical bills and then I get a settlement from the auto insurance company of the person that hit me, do I have to pay back my health insurance company?

The reason I am asking is would I be able to negotiate with the Insurance company for a settlement on my own or should I hire an attorney to contact the insurance company for me? Any advice?
Forgot to menton that I have worked for an auto insurance company before and I know hot it all works as far as policy and procedures go but still I think a lawyer might be a good option but might not be worth the cost…advice?
