I need to loose weight very badly… but I have very bad back injury and it causes me to be in constant pain no matter what I do. It limits me greatly. It also affects my legs. The more weight I put on the worse my back gets. I need advise of exercise that I can do that wont hurt my back as bad. I eat about 1800 calories a day. I’m at about 230lbs and I’m a 5′ 7" woman. Thank you.

I’ve been with a rough fight with my brother. He kept on pushing his knee on my back but I managed to pull away. Can a back injury affect my growth? I am worried that my Spine is injured and I won’t grow anymore.

I ended my gymnastics career a few months ago due to a severe back injury. I am still in pain, but my doctor cleared me for physical activity again, but not lifting weights quite yet. I am wondering what would help best? Yoga or Pilates or if there’s anything else that would help?

Resent studies show that 90% of people recover from a back injury within 3 months. The studies go on to say that 35% of people recover in 9 months and that 42% recover at 12 months. So what about the other 58%? What happens to them? When do they recover?

I am 5’5" and weigh 250 pounds. I have a back injury as well. I am looking for a thrill and thought of exercise. I manage to get a thrill out of it when jogging on the treadmill. I was wondering if I should get a sport or hobby that would be low impact, but exhilirating. I want something that is challenging and rewarding.

What happened was earlier this week I pulled something in my back area and it still hurts even after a week of nursing it with a heating pad and stretching it. Do not know if it is supposed to, hurt still, if this is natural phase of this type of injury. It is my first back injury, and I am learning as I go along.

I play a lot of sport and i constantly have a back injury of some sort and for the past 6 months it’s been my lower back. I’ve asked my mum to get me regular back massages but she disagrees and just says go stretch.. I always stretch before all physical activity.
I play a lot of cricket. Should i change my action?
Thanks a bunch
I’m 14. And would it be growing pains?

my middle back injury( strain, soreness) I might have. It all started when I preformed a new exercise for my hamstring which is called the "dead lift" when i am sitting for long periods of times or standing i start to feel the soreness. I am still able to bend down move side to side. When i stretch it out my middle lower back it feels great. I don’t want to head back to the gym until I’m 100 percent. Is there anything i can do. Its been 3 weeks. I hope its nothing serious!
thanks!

What does true back labor feel like? I am not having uterine contractions but my back is hurting like it never has before like someone is trying to pull my spine apart vertically and it is just above my tailbone in the sacral vertebrae. I have chronic low back pain from a prior car accident but this pain that I am having now is much lower than my previous back injury. So far it is unrelieved by my prescribed pain medicine and prescription muscle relaxant. I am afraid to let my OB know for fear of him sending me to the Emergency Room for nothing if goes away soon! I am trying the heating pad right now to see if that relieves the pain before I consider calling him and going to the ER with this. Any suggestions on what it could be? or is it just the weight of the baby making my back my painful?
ok I will call my OB if it persists past another 1 hour since i just started with the heating pad and so far it seems to be starting to help, thanks for the advice!

I’m not sure if my back injury is serious or not. I’m a 13 year old girl, and 4 months ago, in one of my basketball games, i took a hard hit and fell on my back awkwardly. It still hurts to this day. When I walk, part of like my lower spine pops…
I’ve tried everything, ice, heat, ibuprofen… nothing has worked, and the pain is sometimes unbearable.
My mom is taking me to the doctor tomorrow, and we were informed that I will probably need and x-ray or MRI.
Any ideas on what this could be? Also, I visited the doctor a day after the game i was injured in, and they said it was like a muscle thing. Except, it doesn’t feel like the muscle that hurts, it’s like my spine…

I have pain in the right side of my abdomon. It is sharp and my lower back also hurts. I have a back injury and I’ve had surgery done on my back so I’ve passed it off as just my regular back pain but I can barley walk. When I walk it feels like something is moving around in my abdomon and it hurts. I dont have a fever, or vomiting but so you think it could be my appendex? I dont want to go whining into the ER like a big baby but I dont know what else to do. Serious answers only please, thanks guys!

I was doing squats and suddenly felt a discomfort pain in my lower back, like something moved out of place. This was something I have never felt before. I’m in my early 20′s and athletic and never had a back injury before. Could it possibly be a slipped disc?
