I suffered a lower back injury a little over a year ago, and now I am 25 weeks pregnant and it is really aggrevated. I had to miss 2 1/2 days of work this week because of it.

I have been communicating with my OB and of course they did all the tests to make sure it wasn’t preterm labor, and it isn’t (thank God). I’m starting physical therapy AGAIN tomorrow, and I exercise regularly by swimming.

Has anyone else had this problem before, I need advice and sympathy mostly because I am also a little depressed thinking about how I am going to get through the next few months at work until my leave when all I want to do is lay down with an ice pack.

My main question is how did you deal with back pain and still tough it out at work without going insane???

I had a car crash last week and have had lots of back pain the baby is fine i had a scan but the back pain had become unbearable at times and i find myself crying when it strikes me. i can numb it with a cold pack and its okay for a while but a friend who studys this suggests i may have a bulging disc im seeing someone later about this but want a indication on what it actually is and what they do to fix it has anyone had this before or know anything about it.

Was doing squats and arched my back/wrong technique and hurt my back. Pain was really bad at first but it has got better. It has been over a week and i still have pain, still cant fully bend my back and it sometimes randomly starts hurting. Any advic eon how long i should leave it till i go see a doc.

I got into a car accident over a month ago and have had a lot of back pain..to only find out that it is a few mild bulging discs in my back. I’m wondering if I still have a lawsuit on my hands with this issue or if i’m shit out of luck?

I was in a car accident were i was hit by a Drunk Driver.. I was taken by ambulance with minor head scratches but alot of neck and back pain cause i was rear ended, Now the other guy went to jail his insurance admits fault and is taking care of me. Its been about 2 months and now that im done with my doctors they say they want ALL my medical bills. So should i get a lawyer or should i wait and see how much the 1st offer is? Would i get more money with a lawyer? And my bills are about 11,000 dollars any idea of how much i might get? THANKS..

I’m 23 years old with DDD in my lumbar spine, I have two herniations L3-L4, L4-L5. I’ve had a cortisone injection and it helped very little. I’m so tired of the back pain. I’m in nursing school and sitting in class for 6+ hours a day can be very painful. Any tips or personal stories will greatly be accepted. I’ve been talking with my Doc and thinking about a discectomy? Help please

I have had chronic horrid back pain for 3 years now, and i have had an mri, and they say there is scars on the spinal cord, maybe down to heavy lifting in the past being a carer, I havent had an operation as they say there is nothing they can do. But i dont understand it at all, what is wrong with me? i have looked on the net, and cant find anything on it.

So far, I’m told by an orthopedic specialist that I have a compression fracture in my lower spine. The cause was an auto accident. I was a trucker with Schneider National. I drove as a team with another driver. I was asleep in the bunk, as my partner was driving, when a pickup truck went left of center and hit us nearly head on. We were both traveling at 65 MPH. We managed to escape before our semi burned to the ground in a matter of minutes. Two of the four occupants in the pickup truck were killed. We lost all of our personal property in the semi, of which ,000 worth was mine. The other party only carried a ,000 auto insurance policy, both property and bodily injury. Schneider National is taking most of it with a 0,000 claim. I currently have a worker’s comp. attorney, but I don’t have any idea what sort of settlement will be reached at this point. My back pain has been consistent for the past 6 months and seems to be worsening.
I am also unable to return to driving or perform any physical labor. The accident happened in Kansas and I live in Ohio.
Also, the insurance company of the other party is only offering 0 for my property.

And… If the doctors at the occupational health facility that I was first sent to by Schneider had properly diagnosed my condition, it could have been repaired, according to my orthopedic specialist.

My son was in a minor fender bender & the nationally known insurance company is blowing up my phone. I told them he is feeling some neck & back pain. No Dr. has seen him.

They want to know what Dr. he saw & where? They also asked if I was going to make a claim. I told them I was unsure & wouldn’t release any further info to them.

My son is not injured other than some soreness, but I don’t want to release anything to them until I’m sure he will not have any further complications.

What kind of letter should I send them? What about any compensation form this? I’m very confused & really just want him to be OK without any future issues.

I recently started having horrible back pain along with my left leg going numb….i went to a chiropractor and found a bulging disc between my L4-L5 vertebra. After several treatment…and i mean several, my pain kept getting worse. My regular family doctor prescribes me Lortabs to help with the pain, but he’s wanting to refer me to a Neurosurgeon or a Pain Managment Clinic. If anyone has been faced with this decision, or even if you have an input please share you’re opinion with me…what would you do? If you face this problem how has it changed your life? For the record, the amount of pain I’m in alot of the time can’t be described… My work doesn’t help either with all the stuff i do (i work for fleetwood homes building houses)

my boyfriend has been having terrible back pain from a pinched sciatic nerve for the past week. he has a hard time getting up from a sitting position, bending over and lately hasnt even been able to pick up our 17 month old daughter. we cannot afford to send him to a chiropractor or a doctor so does anyone know of any stretches or homeopathic remedies that would help relieve some of the pain? thank you!

I am 15 years old with degenerative disc disorder/extreme back pain. I can barley do day to day activities. i have tried anti-inflamitory drugs both OTC and prescription, with no help at all. Do you think i could be prescribed painkillers? I am not trying to just get messed up on them or anything i can barely walk anymore.

i slipped on the tub a month ago and i had this bad back pain whenever i bend my back like when im putting my jeans on or my socks. so i went to see my doctor. he told me to take this meds for one week and said if the pain is still there, then i shud go get an xray. so a week passed and the pain subsided so i never got the xray. now, i have this back pain again, its not that painful compared to the one i had before. bt it radiates down to the back of my thighs. im seeing my doctor in the nex 2 days bt i jst want to have an idea wht this cud be. is it a herniated disc? or sumthin else? thanks for ur answers. realy appreciate it!

My son was sent to the hospital by ambulance, where they did a CAT scan, many xrays, and an EKG. He was sent home with perscriptions and told to see his doctor in 3 - 5 days. He went to his doc, and still has neck and back pain and fluid on his right knee….translation…more dr’s apts and more meds. My son is 22 years old, just out of the Marines with plans to go to college in the fall…he has a part time job that does not come with sick leave, so every day he misses is out of pocket.
A few facts: My son was not at fault (was not ticketed for any violation)
The other auto/driver thought it was a 4-way stop and pulled out in front of him. Also he was in a company pickup, so is a company insurance we are working with.

I guess my question is, will he recieve a settlement from the insurance company? Do we need to get a lawyer, or is it too soon to know? When should we get a lawyer if we need to?

My back pain over a year led the dr. to order an MRI and after review he notice bulge at L4-L5 bulge and L5-S1 protrusion. What does this mean? I have an appt to talk with him on Monday, and he has a script for me to get physical therapy and a back brace (Fla V loc Lso) this thing cost over 0! WOW. Will it help? What about phys therapy? I do construction type work and my season is about to start in a month. I know I’ll have to baby my back but I gotta be able to work. Anyone have any bulges like this? I am on Pain meds for the constant pain, and I pray that this doesnt cause me any loss of work or more pain. Will i heal? and how long should it or could it take?

From what Ive read, this disc should cause sciatica pain, and i have none. It hurts when I sit or lift..other than that i feel Ok.
