I have quite a bit of back pain. A recent MRI shows a bulging disc is the source. A good friend who teaches Yoga recommended attending her core strengthening class to help with the pain. I attended one class several months ago before I was diagnosed and it increased my pain substantially for about a week or two.
My friend is very angry at me for not taking this class as she believes it would help with my back pain. Every hunch I have says it will make things worse.
Should I take this class?

I am relatively young (21 years of age) and can’t sit straight or carry a lot of things as I can feel it in my shoulder blades and spine. I have had acupuncture before and that hasn’t helped at all. I was just wondering if anyone knows the causes of my back pain or any ideas? I know people will mention bad posture, but miss that out please. Thanks.

I know how to avoid straining myself when picking up or carrying heavy objects, but usually my lower back pain comes from periods of prolonged sitting, for example on trains or at work. I am not a sedentary person. Thank you.

I am 30 weeks and have had some back pain lately. I have also had some pains in my butt muscles that sometimes tend to run down the back of my leg. Is this Sciatica? My doctor said she thinks my daughter is resting on my Sciatic nerve.

My back has been hurting ever since I woke this morning, and I have put a heating pad on it and it doesn’t seem to of made a difference. I am not dilated (well at least the doctor hasn’t told me if I am or not) but she has turned. When I was walking from my bedroom to our living room earlier, my back pain seemed to be worse then when I am laying down. Should I contact a doctor about my pain or wait it out and see if it goes away?

My back pain is increased and I’ve had a low grade fever since the test. I had it a week ago today. The cramping almost feels like really bad menstrual cramps, but i’m not near my time of the month. Any advise on why I may be feeling this way?

I have always had a bad back, but things have turned out much worse now. i have 2 herniated bulging discs that are giving me leg and back pain and causing nerve damage and motor weakness. my doctor has ordered that i get an EMG/NCS test, which already has me bugged out, and then i will most likely need spinal surgery! can somebody please tell me how effective anesthtesia is, and if a verterabre fusion will actually work. help me dudes it’s scaring me!

In August of 95 (12 yrs ago), after more than 4 yrs of being misdiagnosed, docs rushed me into surgery to remove my appendix when I was only 6 years old.Since I was an infant my parents had taken me to numerous doctors being I had chronic UTI’s and vomiting. They would claim it was gas or accuse my parents of abuse. Nobody ever did an ultrasound. When they finally went in to remove my appendix due to "appendicitis" they found a black, walnut size kidney and realized they had made a mistake. They stitched me up and told my parents to come back a few weeks later to have the dead kidney taken out. Along with the kidney they took out as much of the ureter tube as possible but left about 1/4 of it. Over the last few years I have been getting reoccuring infections and UTI’s yet again. Yesterday I went to a urologist because I had intense back pain and he determined that because they left part of my ureter tube it became a sac of infection that now requires further surgery. Can I still sue?

I’ve just started golfing and my back gets pretty sore after 18 holes. Are there any back pain exercises or other home remedies that could help me get back in shape quickly?
