This morning at school i suddenly got strong back pains. I’ve had it since then to now. The day before I did russian twists (ab work out) with dumbells so basically it was a pretty intense workout, so could that have been the reason for back pains? Any ways to reduce the pain and could’ve been the reason for it?

A year ago, I went hiking and injured a muscle in my left lower back. I put ice and heat on it thinking that it would go away (and not knowing yet what was causing the back pains) but it didn’t. After a whole month, I tried acupuncture, which made it worse, and finally I went to the doctor who advised me to go for massage therapy. With massage therapy, I began to heal slowly, but not in a major way and I also received chiropractic treatment for 4 months, once a week first, then every other week. During this time, I occassionally felt pain in my left knee and ankle, but about 6 weeeks ago, while still receiving massage therapy every other week, the pain became chronic and now I feel tingling and numbness in my left leg and I can’t take my regular 30 min walk without feeling pain and discomfort.
The X rays of my back showed nothing really out of the ordinary(nothing wrong with my spinal cord) and the doctor suggests I go to physiotherapy and he also said I have a bit of a pinched nerve near where the muscle injury was. After all this therapy, I doubt physiotherapy would really help. Do I just listen to the doctor and go to physiotherapy or try acupuncture again? I stopped massage and chiropractic treament because I wasn’t getting better in any major way. Please help.

I know I am overweight (5-10, 200). I have lost about 30 pounds, but I am getting back pain every once in a while. Is there an exercise I could do to avoid getting these back pains?

Since two years ago, i have had major back pains. (around my right upper back the muscle part not bones). I don’t know what it from. I have gone to the doctor and he said it’s nothing and it should get better by itself. But it hurts almost everyday!! i have gone to massages which only give temporary relief. I think it is b/c of my Bag i carry on my back, but u put it over both shoulders not just one. I feel like i have tried EVERYTHING!! i am a regular swimmer, and i do warm ups and everything!! Do u think this is serious (like lead to arthritis or something), or do you think its just b/c im young and it will get better when im older??? What should i do?
