My best friend is facing this in the worst place in the western world for disabled people: California. She’s a straight-A’s amazingly hard-working holistic health student with the kindest heart in the world who loves the outdoors and wants to spend her knowledge helping people, and she of all people has to end up like that.
Thank you for your help. This means the world to me and her!
She never was allowed insurance because she had arthritis since childhood. The injury was caused in an accident involving some asshole dumping a car on the middle of a down-slope road where cyclists go in the woods.

My best friend backed into my car the other night and did 2200 in damage…i don’t have collision but he does…would i be covered by his insurance co?

I am going to call my insurance but just wanted a little insight first.

Cat spinal injury. Please help. Urgent.?

A few days ago, my cat came (4-5 years old) came home dragging her back feet behind him. We immediately took her to the vet, and when we got there, the vet mentioned something about spinal nerve inflammation. He said that it is unlikely that she got hit by a car and most probably is suffering from spinal trauma.
He sent us both home and told us to return within 5 days.

My cat has been eating, and drinking, and walking to the kitty litter box with difficulty. When she walks, her back legs slowly collapse under her weight, but she manages to "pick them up again".

She is kept in a basket, and regularly moves around to change position. However, I can tell that she has great difficulty when moving.
She purrs whenever I touch her, and responds to sounds.
I would say that the top part of her body is normal. She moves her hind legs slightly when shes asleep, but her tail is completely limp.

My questions here are:
1. Is this temporary- or permanent. Are there any chances of her ever regaining the ability to walk?
2. Is she in great pain? What would my options be?
3. Has anyone here ever had a similar experience? If so, please give me some options, and advice how to make her more comfortable.

Please help me. I have no idea what to do. She is my best friend, and I’d hate it if she died because of this. I feel guilty for putting her out the night before to pee, and for falling asleep before getting her back in as usual. (It is not the first time that she slept outside, as we live in an area without cars).
I hate myself for this.

She’s only 7 but has had spinal arthritis for a couple of years. Her buddy (other dog) died last year and her dad (my best friend’s husband) died 7 months ago. This is my best friend’s baby. I just heard about this from her. vet will keep her overnight. Is there a possibility she may have to be put down. I can’t imagine…
Thanks for the response (human physician) and everyone else too. HER VET said that she will watch her today (dog is sedated) and if not at least a little better by tomorrow, she will refer her to a veterinary neurologist to discuss surgery. Good news is, owner (my best friend) has the money for any surgery she may need…thank goodness!

What is the difference between a DWI and DUI?

Do they carryy the same amount of time in Arkansas. What is the difference? I mean does one carry a stiffer punishment and higher fines. I was wondering for my best friend got a DUI. But the courts have it mixed up as a DWI on the paperwork and should he leave it the way they got it or have them to change it to the DUI like it is. Does it make a difference. Thanks for your answers and God Bless.

Last week my friend and I got into an auto accident. We were both drunk when she drove 86 mph into a telephone pole. We were taken by ambulence to the hospital. I had a severe concussion and whiplash. It is less than a week, and I am in severe pain still. I have been thinking about getting an attorney to help me out. I would just like to know anyones opinions on using an attorney. This accident happened in Oregon. They driver (my best friend) was charged with a DUII.
