My brother and a friend were in a single car accident. He’s (so-called) friend was convicted of reckless driving and leaving the scene of a accident. Now the state is trying to convict my brother of dwi can they do this. I’m no lawyer but i just don’t see how they can convict 2 people of driving one car at the same time.

My mother passed four months ago and I have had the worst trouble obtaining her medical records from one of her primary doctors. I need them to send to the life insurance company, but the doctor is now telling me I must show that I have power of attorney.

My dad is also deceased and my brother and I have too little money to risk hiring a lawyer, in case we don’t get the settlement from the life insurance company after all.

I’ve been with a rough fight with my brother. He kept on pushing his knee on my back but I managed to pull away. Can a back injury affect my growth? I am worried that my Spine is injured and I won’t grow anymore.

my brother is struggling with recovering from his spinal fusion. he is depressed and has a spinal leak. maybe if anyone can share your personal spinal fusion/spinal leak recovery stories with me, then i can share them with him. or if you know of any spinal fusion patient sites or anything. please help. i dont know how to help him

my brother is on parole and recently went thru safp kyle for 6 months and is 3 months thru aftercare and got a misdemeanor class a dwi and is now blue warranted to turn himself in. His parole is up 6-2011. our question is whether to push the dwi on thru quickly or try to hold it off long enough so that he has less than 9-12 months left on the parole so that he doesn’t have to go back thru the safp progam and hopefully just to isf for whatever time that is 60-90 days then back to supervisioin…Should he get a lawyer for the DWI..it was his first DWI..in jail previously for drug charges. His parole would be up a year from June. Now he has to go back again. Any advise on what to do?
he knows he is going back to jail-that is a given(the dwi and the blue warrant). The safp program which is all that tdcj has in the way of rehab for people with alcohol and drug propblems-once a person has been thru that program there should be a short form of it-it really doesn’t take a person 6 months to catch on to and if he/she has been thru that recently, why not try like in-patient for as month to get him/her back on track before sendiing them back thru the whole thing

My brother received a DWI charge last year on October 17, 2009. He turned 23 on October 28th. He got pulled over on the highway for speeding (i know, dumbass!) coming from our Mother’s birthday party. He went to jail and we bailed him out the next day. My mom got him a lawyer (Nunn Law Firm). In this year of 2010
He went to court in March,he waited 4 hours and the Lawyer rescheduled it.
He went to court in April, he waited 3 hours and the Lawyer rescheduled it.
He went to court in June, he waited 4 hours and the Lawyer rescheduled it.
He went to court in July (todday) he waited 3 hours, the lawyer didnt show up…..
He called the Law Firm and they told him that his Lawyer had to go somewhere and there was another Lawyer covering for him. He waited another 2 hours….
He spoke to the Clerk lady lol and she told him that his court date was rescheduled to August and that she didnt know why the Law Firm didn’t notify him…

So obviously this is a BULLSHIT *** Lawyer, my mom already paid him ,000 dollars (my brother is disabled)…..the lawyers actions show that he is not capable of helping my brother in the courtroom.

What can I do about this? Do you think he could fire him and get his money back?

We couldn’t afford a new lawyer :/

My brother received a DUI 2 weeks ago in Orange County, CA. he doesn’t have any money and I am not going to loan it to him, but I would like to be able to give him any information that I can regarding attorneys in his area. Thank you.

I am at work but my dad has been having severe back problems. He couldnt move without becoming so consumed with pain he starts shaking uncontrollably and crying/feels like vomitting. And this is my dad- the macho man.

My mom called the ambulance this morning and when they got there, they came in and told him he had to walk out to the ambulance and refused to carry him out.

Despite protests, despite voicing the fact he has a severe spinal injury, despite how much pain he was in, despite the fact that these people are trained to starp people down very securely, moving them as little as possible with a neck brace if they even THINK it MIGHT be back problems, instead they forced him to walk under his own will, THEY DIDNT EVEN HELP HIM WALK! my brother had to try to carry him by himself.

What the hell? i mean seriously. I WISH MORE THAN ANYTHING I was there and this **** would not have gone down. these assholes deserve to get fired, they could have seriously messed up his back even more. the worst part is:

so maybe they couldnt fit the strecher in his room; FINE. put his arms over both ur shoulders, help him walk out to where there is room for the strecher, or BETTER YET CARRY HIS *** BETWEEN THE TWO OF YOU- hes not a big guy- the shortest distance, and have the strecher READY FOR HIM! INSTEAD, THEY MADE HIM STAND THERE FOR 5 MINUITES WHILE THEY SET THE STRECHER UP after making him walk all the way out on the driveway to the ambulance- and dont be mistaken, this was a feat consideering his shaking, crying, outcries of pain when he was trying to just move his legs last night, i dont even know how he managed.

Can anyone make sense of this? i told my mom to file an official complaint in case they did make his back worse,we have official records and documentation thats how they handled it. I am feeling helpless and i really want to go up there and make sure he gets proper treatement because my mom bless her heart isnt a young strong male who wont take this kind of bullshit.

and my dad is a registered nurse at the hospital they are taking him to, i would hope they would treat one of their own better!. he didnt say anything though-and im pissed about that- because hes a stupid "proud" man or whatever and isnt going to "be a *****", but still these guys should have known better!

Hi I was at the gym yesterday with my brother and we were doing deadlifts. ON my 4th set Bam all the sudden a sharp stabbing pain hit my lower back. By the time I got hom I could not move or get off the couch.. Now today I can move but still cant bend over or twist without a lot of pain stabbing my lower back. I am trying to figure out if this is just a muscle injury or worst… I cant really afford to go to doctor. I have med insurance but my deductible is 6000 and I cant afford to take off from my job….

My brother had an accident on the Judo mat while he was on his regular practice on the 19th of this month. X-ray reports show that c5 and c6 have moved away from one another. He is parallized from neck to toe, however senses are there upto his belly. He has been fixed him with bed with 12 Kg contraction and is still not out of danger.
