I have a bulging disc in my lower back, but I am also having issues with my arms and fingers going numb. I had a serious car wreck nine years ago, Is it possible the first symptoms of a back problem are presenting their selves now?
Hi, not too long ago my doctor told me I have a bulging disc and that’s what’s been causing the pain in my back. He said they could give me a shot to help with it. I’m thinking it’s just a go in and get a shot type thing. Turns out they’d be putting me to sleep and giving me the shot in my back. I’m wondering about the side affects of having this done, does it work, and are there any other alternatives for a bulging disc.
This is actually for my mother. She has a bulging disc that is badly aggrevated at the moment. She works in a model home, selling new homes, so she is up on her feet and then down in the chair constantly.
She doesn’t have basic medical or the money for a cortisone shot right now. At present, I have her taking 800mg ibuprofren and 1000mg acetominophen every 6 hours to help manage the pain.
What can she do so that she isn’t close to tears at work for the next 4 days??
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
PS - We have been alternating heat and ice as well.
just wondering if a nerve root injection for a bulging disc which has aggrivated the sciatica nerve resulting in pain going down the leg and numbness ect has worked for any one??…been in agony for 4 months now….has any particular medication actually stopped the pain??
I have a herniated disc in the C4/C5 region and a bulging disc below it. I have tried physical therapy, acupuncture, ice packs, heat packs - but nothing seems to relieve the pain. Any suggestions?
I had a car crash last week and have had lots of back pain the baby is fine i had a scan but the back pain had become unbearable at times and i find myself crying when it strikes me. i can numb it with a cold pack and its okay for a while but a friend who studys this suggests i may have a bulging disc im seeing someone later about this but want a indication on what it actually is and what they do to fix it has anyone had this before or know anything about it.
My brother has a bulging disc for 1 year and a half does anybody know how he can get it fixed with out surgery he is always with pain on his lower back the doctor told him it was a bulging disc and that he needed surgery there must be another way can someone please help i dont want to see him suffer anymore PLEASE HELP!!!!! where can we go? or what can we do? i will really appreciate it if someone would help us
He said he’d do an MRI if the 6 weeks of PT didnt help. How can they diagnose a bulging disc without an MRI? Also, what will the physical therapist do?
My husband has bulging discs in his cervical spine. He’s had 1 epidural injection and is still having a lot of pain in his neck. His other symptoms (shoulder pain, numbness and tingling in hand/fingers) has gone away, so he has had some relief from the injection. I wondered if anyone who has had similar experience has tried cervical traction and if so, did it help? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Has anyone tried going to a chiropractor for a few sessions and found relief from bulging disc pain?
Do I still have a bulging disc? Or will it come back…Will I always have problems, or should the problem be solved?

i am 16 and i have a bulging disc and im wandering about recovery time.
Right before I lost my insurance coverage I went for an MRI and they found a bulging disc in my back touching my spinal cord…has anyone ever heard of this? I havent been able to go back and I been having pain………. any treatment or know anything about this?
