i was told that if you were involved in car accident and had catastrophic injuries due to the other drivers negligence you could be paid more than insurance policy limit by the insurance company because the injury was catastrophic. is this true. i thought insurance company was only liable for its limit and that was it.

Why would an auto insurance company delay a ruling in an issue of coverage for their policy holder who was liable for a car accident? It has been several weeks since the "supposed" policy holder hit my car and the insurance company says it is still doing an investigation regarding an issue of coverage. The police report already ruled that their policy holder was liable for the accident 100%; there were injuries involved. I have uninsured motorist coverage, but I cannot move forward in terms of closing this until the other party’s insurance company verifies whether or not this person was covered at the time of the accident. I thought having computers was supposed to speed up the process. What benefit would an insurance company have in delaying the ruling?

My sciatic nerve has been a problem since I was in a car accident over four years ago. I have been to the hospital and to doctor’s, but their solution is pain medication that makes me feel out of it. Are there any home remedies out there? I could really use it- especially today!

I got into a car accident over a month ago and have had a lot of back pain..to only find out that it is a few mild bulging discs in my back. I’m wondering if I still have a lawsuit on my hands with this issue or if i’m shit out of luck?

I know if someone else falls they can go through my policy so would the same hold true if I fell? I’m wondering about this because I know if I had a solo car accident I could go through my own auto insurance to pay for it so does the same hold true for a homeowners policy?

I had a claim today the member lives in a no fault state for auto insurance. A medical claim was submitted and it was a work related auto accident (mail carrier), workers comp has denied the claim, will the no fault automobile insurance pick this up? Even if it’s a work related auto injury?
Sorry, evidentally I was very vague when asking my question..
I work for the person’s health insurance company, and we’re trying to investigate third party liability. The member is the subscriber/insured of our plan. She is a mail carrier and was injured in a car accident while delivering mail. Workers comp denied their claim for whatever reason, but now we’re being told we need to investigate if their auto insurance will pay as they live in a no fault state. If you live in a no fault state when you’re in an accident your auto insurance pays for your damages regardless of who’s at fault. The other drivers insurance pays for their on damages as well. So I’m asking if her auto insurance will pay for her damages/medical expenses if she’s injured in a work related car accident. Or will her auto insurance pay regardless of whether it’s a work related injury or not?
Do you think we should do more investigation as to why workers comp denied the claim?

I recently got into a car accident and am going to physical therapy. The therapist said my vertebrae are quite a bit looser than they should be and go in too far when I lean back. Is there a term for this?

I was in a car accident in 1999 and the doctors just told me to exercise and it would heal, but it hasn’t and I sometimes get stuck trying to stand up after bending over to pick up an item. what’s up with that?
Stuck as in bent over and can not stand up straight. the tingling and shooting pains you mentioned, I just figure my legs were going to sleep from standing too much or sitting too long. now don’t I feel stupid.

A few months ago I was in a car accident and a week later I began to feel a numbness and tingly feeling in my upper back a few inches right of my spinal cord. The feeling only comes occasionally when I am sitting a certain way and does not cause any weakness. Could it be and issue with a nerve? Are there treatments to permenately aliviate the problem? Thanks.

ok so I just had to have surgery done on my ankle in the exact same spot that I had surgery done almost 7 years ago due to a car accident. It turns out that the original surgeon completely missed an extra bone in my foot that had broken off and was floating around in there causing me pain for years, and he left a stitch in there that had to be removed during my surgery… I had originally though eh everyone makes mistakes ya know, but the more i think about it I would have not had to have this second surgery if this had been caught originally and if there wasn’t something left in my foot. Would this be considered malpractice? Thanks for any advice from someone who knows what they are talking about. ^_^
