I’ve be seeing a chiropractor for an injury of my left sciatic nerve, the pain starts at my lower left backside and goes into my toes. I have no insurance so the chiropractor is getting costly, would like to know if there is something else I can try. It’s worst in the mornings or if I sit too long.
I have seen a doctor and the chiropractor is helping but it takes time to heal, wish there was more I could do on my own. During the day I am fine, it’s just at night after being in bed for a couple hours, I wake up in pain. Toes don’t hurt really, they are a little numb now and again. Anyone have any ideas?

Hey guys,
I’m a 15 year old freshman in high school. I recently recovered from a moderate lower back injury from power cleaning 160 lbs several times. I hurt my back again today, and my pain has returned. In my previous injury I went to a chiropractor for an entire month before fully healing. Spring Football starts in 2 weeks and I’m going to be starting on varsity. I would like to know if there was anything i could do to alleviate my pack pain. It hurts when I shift positions in my chair during class, and my dad would kill me if i told him I hurt my back again.
What can I do to secretly recover from my back injury?
Some Specs of myself:
- 5′9" tall
- 240 lbs
- got injured again after lifting 500 lbs on squat
my dad has mixed feelings about football, since i love playing football he supports me, but he’s the type of person that will make me quit if I am getting hurt or my grades go down.

I got a ’slightly’ bulged disc in my lower back several yrs ago that pretty much ended my soccer dreams in college due to timing.
I tried to train on it too early and never really fully recovered.
After about 3yrs I missed battle ( I wrestled for 13yrs), so I started muay thai kickboxing and brazilian ju jitsu. I’ve found my legs to get extremely heavy, my gate movement is shaky, and occassionally I tweak my back doing a back bridge trying to bump someone off me. Then of course, the pains that go into my hips return and the pain in between my vertebrae as well.
I train when I’m not in ridiculous pain but before I set my heart on competing i want to know I’m 110% and I fear seeing a doc who will tell me I need surgery.
Should I see a chiropractor or acupunturist instead?

My husband has bulging discs in his cervical spine. He’s had 1 epidural injection and is still having a lot of pain in his neck. His other symptoms (shoulder pain, numbness and tingling in hand/fingers) has gone away, so he has had some relief from the injection. I wondered if anyone who has had similar experience has tried cervical traction and if so, did it help? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Has anyone tried going to a chiropractor for a few sessions and found relief from bulging disc pain?

A chiropractor told me that my spinal cord goes through a bone at the base of my skull rather than around the bone. Is there a name for this? This was years ago and I’m sure I have the particulars correct. Thanks.

I am 24 weeks pregnant and having sciatic nerve pain. I had it with my first pregnancy as well and know how much worse its going to get! I need some at-home type remedies, as I just can’t afford to see a chiropractor.

I pinched a nerve in my lower back about 3 weeks ago. Went to the chiropractor, which did not help at all and saw a orthopedic doctor recently. He said it was my sciatic nerve. It it not my lower back that bothers me, the cramping in my right buttock, thigh and lower leg is aweful. He gave me some medication, but it still has not gotten any better. Did anyone experience sciatica? Do you have any advise for me?

My chiropractor diagnosed me with this condition. I feel great after an adjustment, however, within six hours I’m in pain all over again. I can only afford two adjustments a month, so what can I do at home to relieve the pain? I do not like to take medication. The only thing that seems to relieve the pain is laying in the fetal position. My chiropractor has recommended decompression, what do you think?

My boyfriend and I got into an accident, where he was at fault. Although he was the driver, the car’s mine and I’m insured under it. I’ve already filed an insurance claim and I’m getting an appraisal right now. The car had extreme damage to the front (hood crushed, bumper torn out, headlights busted, grille pushed in, radiator cracked, and antifreeze liquid leeking out). The car is a 2006 Toyota Avalon w/ 24,000 miles on it. Is it possible that it’s totaled?
It’s been days since the accident and we’re both suffering back and neck pain. If we go to a chiropractor, how will the insurance money be paid out? Also, how does the Personal Injury Protection coverage work? Is it the same as pain & suffering? Do you ever come up short with money for the bills? I’m real clueless as to how this ordeal will work out. Help!
Also, we both have Allstate. Is there any way to transfer this to his insurance policy since he was the driver?

I had an MRI and was told I have a bulging disc. I am supposed to go to a chiropractor this week. I install carpet and constantly lift heavy items. I have taken the week off for now. Is this something I will be able to make a full recovery from? How serious is this type of back injury?

Should I be seeing a chiropractor, neurologist, or some other kind of a doctor for a pinched nerve? Been seeing a chiropractor and I don’t feel much improvement in 2 and a half weeks.

I went water skiing about the end of june. Since then i have had a very sore lower back. It is safe to say i can not sit still for more than 10 minutes without moving my legs out to stretch and relieve my back. My parents think it is "using new muscles". I can lay down on the floor and sometimes it will feel fine, but sitting up in a chair, couch, desk, etc i cant handle. When i stand up i have no problem with it. I told my aunt and she thinks that it is a pinched nerve. I went to the chiropractor and he said the hip was out and he put it back in and it feels a little better. I try to ice it but it is no use. What might it be. Also if it was using new muscles i am sure i would have no pain now.

I recently started having horrible back pain along with my left leg going numb….i went to a chiropractor and found a bulging disc between my L4-L5 vertebra. After several treatment…and i mean several, my pain kept getting worse. My regular family doctor prescribes me Lortabs to help with the pain, but he’s wanting to refer me to a Neurosurgeon or a Pain Managment Clinic. If anyone has been faced with this decision, or even if you have an input please share you’re opinion with me…what would you do? If you face this problem how has it changed your life? For the record, the amount of pain I’m in alot of the time can’t be described… My work doesn’t help either with all the stuff i do (i work for fleetwood homes building houses)
Thanks to all that answer
