Has anyone ever been treated for a bulging disc by a chiropractor?
I have several cervical bulging discs and go to a chiropractor three times a week for treatment. He always pops my neck and back and the next day I am always in excruciating pain.

I have a herniated disc in my lower back and it goes into my left buttock. I was laying down flooring and it began to hurt very badly. The next day the pain was gone. Then the day after I was shoveling and I must have done something to avoid hurting my back which ultimately was the worst thing I could do. I went to a chiropractor but it didn’t help. At times I have such extreme pain I don’t know what to do with myself, it is EXCRUCIATING to the nth power. I get into a rage and I swear for about 5 minutes straight. The looks on my family members’ faces are unbearable when they see what the pain does to me. What do you recommend to make the pain go away?
Yes, Sheltie Lover, I am no longer shoveling. God knows what would happen if I did again.
My husband knows that weight loss, stretching and seeing a chiropractor will help this condition, and I am trying to motivate him to do these things. However, most nights he is in much much pain that he can hardly stand it. He cant find a position that does not cause sharp pain in his thigh and hip. ANy ideas on temporary relief?
I have been suffering for a while and I have ruled it all down to a pinched nerve, I have tried everything to help it, but I am not entirely sure where it is, I think it is in my neck because I use to have a pain there but it went away, however the effects still remain, weakness in legs and arms, brain fog, and all the other symptoms. Without going to a chiropractor (because they cost a bomb) is there a way to find where it is located yourself? Thanks.
I had an adjustment today at the chiropractor which may help with some aching I am having directly in the middle of my buttocks. But I had read this is likely posterior pelvic pain and not sciatica and that I should not do things like stairs.
**So can exercise worsen this condition?
**Can I do the stair master?
**For this condition which would help more, chiropractor or physical therapist?

I am 26 weeks pregnant and have a very painful bulging disc between my L5 and S1 vertebrae. Heat, rest, and tylenol are not helping. Anyone know of any other options that could get rid of my pain? We are moving out-of-state in 4 days and I have a lot to do and need to get rid of this pain. Yes, I have been to a chiropractor, but all he does is put heat on it and adjusting is painful.
I hurt myself while working out months ago and I only took care of it 2 months later by visiting the chiropractor. Now 3 months later, my back still hurt and my legs are twitching.
I plan on starting physiotherapy next week, but I’m wondering if a back injury can cause legs twitching.
NOT spasms, twitching. Like when your eye twitch when you’re tired. Only last a few seconds but happens a few times a day.
Thanks.
3 years ago when I was 17 I went to the doctor because I was having pain in my neck and down my arm into my elbow. I couldn’t turn my head left and so the doctor gave me hydrocodone and sent me to a chiropractor. They sent me somewhere to get an mri and they did xrays. They said the xray looked like I had the neck of a 40 year old woman (whatever that means). They also said that the mri showed that I had a bulged disc. I had a lot of physical therapy and chiropractics. About 9 mo later they stopped physical therapy bc I could now do it at home. I have been going to the chiro since and after 3 years I have reduced my visits drastically along with continuing pain medication. I didn’t make it out there lately when my neck started hurting and it soon moved into my lower back and then my bottom rib on the back right. I went in and he said that I had displaced my rib. He did adjustments and it still hurts just as bad to walk, breath, lay down, bend down, and I keep getting these sharp pulsing pains. I go back tomorrow… but there has got to be something that can fix these issues. I’m 20 years old and I feel like I’m 80… I ache like all of the time now. Is there a specialized doctor that would be better to help fix the problem. I shouldn’t have to take pain killers forever and rely on a chiropractor.
Never had any back problems, I can run and lift just fine and my chiropractor wrote me a letter saying that I was perfectly fine for military duty.
I know I hurt my back while working out back in April and I haven’t caught a break from the lower back pain since then. I need to know what I should do to get it better so I can live my physical lifestyle again. I’m trying to avoid the chiropractor route if I can.
I just got back my CT scan and the Dr. wants me to go to a neurologist. My L4 and L5 is messed up pretty bad. It has pinched my nerve. Has anybody had surgery on this and if so, what is it like, does it help, and what is the recovery time. I am going to a chiropractor tomorrow to see if he might can help me.
i recently had an MRI and today i found out i have a few bulging disks in my lower back and one of them is pretty bad (doctor estimated about a 7/10 in how bad it was) they are not for sure yet but they think i need surgery and me and my parents don’t want it and was wondering if there was any other treatments for this i am 17 by the way and have tried therapy but not a chiropractor
ok, to make a LONG story short… I was in an auto accident where i was stopped at a red light and a woman in an SUV thought the light was green and slammed into me at full speed. my car was totalled and i’ve been dealing with major neck pain. i’ve got subluxation in my neck where basically all of the vertebrea have twisted to the right side the top of my spine is crooked and the curve of my neck has been straightened. and i have a badly pinched nerve in my collarbone. it’s been 6 weeks and i’m still in pain. i am not able to do my job anymore. the chiropractor says that he sees improvement but it’s going to be a slow recovery and if he can’t fix me he will send me to a specialist. i’m either going to have to quit or i’m going to get fired because i can’t do the duties that are require for my job and i keep missing work because of it. my question is, does anybody know of some way that i can get money to pay my bills while i’m out of work? i am going to get an injury settlement but i won’t see any of that money until i’m released from anything medical. i really need time off to heal because the problem is i’ve been working and haven’t been able to heal but i don’t know if there’s some way to get money from the insurance for that? by the way, the insurance company of the woman who hit me is paying for everything. i was also thinking of leave of absence but i know i won’t get paid that way either.
i’m getting very worried. any advice?

I took a few days off after a rear end collision and after 3 days my work wants a "treating medical professional" to fill out some forms for a medical leave of absence. My family physician says I can go back after one week. My Chiropractor says I should not perform physical work for 3 weeks or until my pinched nerve/muscle spasms start to go away.
Can a Chiropractor make these decisions and fill out a medical leave form??
I’m not lazy…..I just dont want to aggravate an ongoing back issue!
