I took a few days off after a rear end collision and after 3 days my work wants a "treating medical professional" to fill out some forms for a medical leave of absence. My family physician says I can go back after one week. My Chiropractor says I should not perform physical work for 3 weeks or until my pinched nerve/muscle spasms start to go away.
Can a Chiropractor make these decisions and fill out a medical leave form??
I’m not lazy…..I just dont want to aggravate an ongoing back issue!

I have been having severe back pain with spasms, especially when I go to bed at night. I have to sleep upright on a heating pad. I went to the chiropractor today and they made xrays. They said that the last vertebrae in my spine is twisted and tilted. I haven’t done any lifting or had any accidents. What could have caused this?

What happens if a chiropractor does nerve damage? What in the body will it change? Will I feel/act different? Will it change the way the brain will work? Is it a possibility of mental retardation/illness?
How would I know if I got nerve damage?
How often does nerve damage happen due to chiropractic treatments? Should I worry about this?

I recently had a MRI and xray done on my back (referred by family doc) and it showed a protruding disk. I have been referred to an ortho. I started by seeing a chiropractor who also took xrays. If I remember correctly, he took xrays and said I had a bulging disk just above the sacrum. I would like to know if treated properly will I be able to do all the things I used to be able to do when I was a teen(32 now). I m currently trying to get into the Air National Guard. I have found that this diagnosis will enevitablly doom my chances of enlisment. Is there any hope for me?

Last night, I went for a mile jog. About a half an hour after coming back home, I felt some pain in my lower left back. I put ice on it and took some Ibuprofen, but I woke up this morning and it hurt even more. I took more Ibuprofen, but nothing seems to be relieving the pain. I have an appointment with my chiropractor already set up for next week. Are there any other ways I can relieve the pain until then?

I hurt my sciatic nerve last week and it has gotten worse. There have been a few times where it took my breath away due to pain. I have tried muscle relaxants and vicadin and nothing really helps. Should I see a Doctor or a Chiropractor?

Yeah I have been in a car accident 2 months ago and he hasn’t called me. First of all we were the victims of this accident. Some drunken idiot was going on the opposite of a one way street and we were running on a green light and we T boned him on his right side of his car. Well it turns out that he isn’t the owner of the car but borrowed it and he also tried to run away(prob. in jail). ok well we got a lawyer and he did get our case.So its been like 2 months now & also called but he could never talk to me only the lawyers helper(secretary?) and she is the only one talking to me. I don’t get enough help from her at all. I have been going to the chiropractor for therapy and that’s all I have been doing. I been wanting to go see some doctor and psychiatrist because ever since the accident I have been getting anxiety attacks and my knees are still hurting even though they didn’t find anything broken bones in me. I didn’t get any help just cause I don’t have medicaid medicare health insurance and need to pay from my pocket which I don’t have any! We didn’t even get a rental car from the other person car insurance. I have lost my job all because of the accident. I have no income whatsoever and haven’t got my mileage from going to therapy. It was 3 of us in the accident and we are still in pain but I don’t see the therapy helping at all. We lost our car and relying on the taxi and bus transit, its not the same
I never even spoke once to my lawyer and he is too busy from what i heard. I am now thinking if this lawyer is only thinking about himself and not about us just waiting to get the money at the end of all of this that’s if we even get something. Sorry for too much detail.

Was rear-ended by lady in Louisiana involving 4 cars.No serious injuries, except me for whiplash and lower back. Seeing chiropractor for eight weeks. Expect med bills to be about 00.00, car repair 00.00 and lost 2 killer future jobs because of this, now unemployed and broke.Defendants insurance is Allstate. Any idea what to expect for settlement?
I was on my way back from being hired by GE in HOUSTON, but had to turn it down because of injuries.

on thursday i bent down to pick up my cell phone and threw my back out. it’s been getting progressively better, but it still hurts to the point of bringing tears to my eyes. i don’t think i slipped a disc, because i’m pretty sure i wouldn’t be able to move.
i also have two bruises on my back now, one on either side of the L5 and S1 joint.
i’m really against seeing a doctor or chiropractor. is this something i can fix with the right amount of ibuprofen and exercise? how long should i let it go before i start to worry?

I have caught my lawyer lying twice about my case…And she sounds more like shes against me than with me. I only speak with the para legal and the lawyer has never spoken to me. I would rather represent myself or find a new lawyer to close the case out. I don’t trust her and what shes saying.
Can anyone help me Please I feel like shes trying to get over on me.
I have a contract…but the contract clearly states that THE LAWYER is the employer NOT his Para legal. The para legal is the one who has been workin on the case the entire time. Now shes telling me I have to except a measley 0. Because I only went 12 times to the chiropractor.

I have been having back problems for almost 4 years now and just found out a few months ago that I have a sacralized extra vertebrae. Is there any possible way to relieve the pain without surgery? And if so, what? The chiropractor gave me some stretches to do but they don’t really seem to help. Thank you for the advice.

It has been about a week now. I have been taking Advil and that helps for the moment, but the pain comes back. Also have been using a heating pad. This is terrible. I have a hard time sleeping and getting up from laying down.
Would a chiropractor help?
