i once read sumwhere in a newspaper articule that this actually happened, to what degree of seriousness, i have no idea.
America is full of wacky ridiculous laws such as in the state of Arkansas, it is illegal to mispronounce ‘Arkansas’… now based on that knowledge, is it really so hard to believe that its possible to sue your dad for merely ‘looking like you’, have similar facial looks etc? can one file a lawsuit over this?

My sister is 15. She’s a catcher for a competitive softball team. She hurt her knee, not bad enough for surgery but still enough where she can’t play for an extended period of time. Our dad is pushing for her to get cortisone shots in her knee so she can play. Good idea or bad idea?

I was involved in a 3 car accident. The car behind me hit me twice (once on the back right and once on the side as he swerved and lost control) causing me to hit the car in front of me. I was driving my dad’s car for the summer because I’m doing an internship away from home. Since my dad’s car is useless now, I needed to get a rental car. I would also like to get some medical expenses covered because I am experiencing back and neck pain. My questions are: Will the other person’s insurance cover the cost of the rental car although the car is not mine but I am the one using it for the summer? And should I get a lawyer to handle this situation? (Also, my dad is 8 hours away from here and the car is still in the tow lot since I am staying at an extended stay hotel and have no where to keep the car.)

My dad was rear ended and now has permanent injuries. Should he contact an attorney and sue. He has soft tissue damage in his back and neck. The insurance company has not offered any money for pain and suffering. They are just paying his medical bills.
The accident happened in KS.
He has been diagnosed with perm. injuries, but will continue treatment.
Since KS is a no fault state our insurance companies pays the bills. The doctor has sent him to go have a MRI done. Also if they do offer them what is the usually and customary amount?

For some time now, I had been looking at subaru imprezas, of which I love. However, each insurance quote I got from my parents was something like 3400 a year under my dad, and close to 8,000 a year under my own policy, with collision, so my parents wouldnt even consider it. The quote was for an 04, so if it is that insane I dont see how some kids own 03s, 04s, even a few 07s, as my parents arent poor by any means, and I know all the other kids do not have rich parents. Even an 02 accord with 80k miles was over 3000 a year under my dad with collision. Is there any possible way I can get a nice car, something like an 02 impreza is ideal, without paying so much insurance with collision? I am perfectly aware of the fact that if I get a 95 civic with no collision, insurance wont b a problem. However, I have some hard earned money to spend on a car, and I cant see how I am constantly heading towards the single path of a bucket without collision. Please help me

I’m talking about serious medical procedures here. Do not suggest chiropractics, homeopathic remedies, reflexology, magnet therapy, or prayer. I want suggestions that can actually help my dad recover, to strengthen his back, and to relieve his constant pain. One more serious injury could permanently disable him, so I need some serious suggestions as to how he can have a swift return to health.

Last night my stepson his son and his biological father were injured in a car accident. A wrecker carrying a car on a flatbed had not secured the vehical correctly. Just as my stepson saw that it was about to come loose , it did!
The car came off the truck and slammed into the passenger side of my stepson’s pickup. This sent him into the guardrail. The truck is a total loss. He and his dad were shanken up and are pretty sore but my grandson hit his head, yes he had a seatbelt on, and had to have 12 stitches and stay in the hospital until 2am this morning.
My daughter works part time for a lawyer, who came down to the hospital last night. He said he will handle it. Im sure he will, for a fee.
What is fair? IF the wrecker company broke more than one law is there more than one lawsuit?
I can think of a few. Failure to secure his load. Wreckless endangerment. Bodily injury. Mental anxiety [my wife]. etc

The car is a 2003 Toyota Camry. The loan is paid in full on it.
It costs an extra 0 a year to put collision insurance on it with a 0 deductible.
My Dad told me 30 years ago not to keep collision on a car after it is 5 years old. But times have changed.
If it were to be damaged severely, we would not readily have the funds to replace it and would be looking at clunkers (if there are any left out there)..
Since the car is more than 6 years old, it wouldn’t have a resale value in the Kelly Blue Book, so I have no idea what $$ we could expect from the insurance company to buy a new car if something happened to it.
Should I maintain the collision insurance on this car? Opinions please, and the reasoning behind your answer? Thanks!

Hi, my father just got a DWI, rolled his car at 70mph and nearly died. His court date is may 16, can I write a letter to the judge or prosecutor imploring them to force my dad to go to treatment?
