My boyfriend dropped his collision insurance on a vehicle that is paid off but still worth about ,000 (trade in). He was just in an accident (not his fault, the other driver was ticketed) and his estimate is around 00 to fix the damage. We understand that because he has no collision his carrier will not cover the damage until the person at fault’s company assesses the damage and approves the estimate.
Will he have to pay for the repairs up front and get reimbursed by her company directly? Is the person at fault obligated to pay for the damages at all if he has no collision? Remember, she’s been ticketed so proof is there that the accident was her fault.
Also, his limit for renting a car is /day. Who pays the difference if he rents one for more than that?? Does her insurance company,or will he have to pay for that out of pocket?

My husband dented the front and the hood of the car up while driving intoxicated. Him and I are both insured on the vehicle. Police followed him home and issued him a DWI. Do I submit a claim to my insurance for the damages done on the car? Would they even accept this type of claim? Or is it best just to go have it repaired myself, since our car insurance is going to go up already for the DWI.

I recently got into a bumper to bumper car accident in CA, where I think it was a 50/50 responsibility of me and her. The dent on both of our cars is evident, but not all that bad. I was called by the driver’s insurance company to get an estimate of the cost of repairs to fix my bumper and then to send it to her. My question is should I look for places that charge the most amount of money? This is assuming that the driver will pay for damages to my car and I’ll pay for damages to her car. I really have no idea what I’m supposed to do as I know some places can quote you cheap while others quote you an arm and a leg for the same job. Thanks in advance.

In Los Angeles Personal Injury Lawyer services are highly sought after, due to many victims of personal injury searching for justice and reparations for damages that have been incurred whether financial or emotional.

How does a civil lawsuit for negligence work if the defendant is broke? How will the plaintiff recieve the money for the damages? How does all of this work?

I was recently involved in an auto accident (as a passenger). Long story short, the other driver was the at-fault party, yet her insurance is finding every loop-hole imaginable not to pay out for the damages to our vehicle. This is not the surprising part, however. My question: I was informed she is laying a claim on us for the accident merely because she lacks collision insurance which would pay for the damages to her own car. In the state of Florida, are you required to carry this sort of insurance or is collision insurance simply optional?

Suppose you collide with a vehicle where the driver doesn’t have car insurance. Your damage is already paid for with collision, your medical damages are already paid for by your medical health insurance. Assume the driver only drives alone.

The police stated that on his report that I was not at fault, but the insurance for the other party called me and said I was at fault for this accident. Oddly, the other party’s insurance is still sending someone over to assess the damage on my car – I’m not sure how this works.
Do I have to worry about getting a lawyer, in case they still want to say that I am at fault and not pay for my damages? Or should the police report hold up for this case and I still get my damages repaired by them? I’m trying to avoid getting a lawyer, as I understand their fees are high.
Also, I did not notify my insurance yet, do I need to, even if I was not the one that hit them?
Thanks
Details: It was my light and the car on the opposite direction turned left, not waiting for me to pass and hit me. Bumper came off, with major dents around, and tire busted from impact.

If there is a two car accident and both accidents are insured by two different insurance companies, do the insurance companies solve the damages without a lawyer, or is a lawyer involved?

I have a friend who was injured in car accident, involving a drunk driver. The drunk driver is an employee from a big company in which the company was holding an annual party in a famous hotel.
There were a lot alcohol in the celebration. The person who hit my friend in car accident was completely drunk and was very negligence about driving impaired on the roads. I think also that the hotel and the company should be liable, but I don’t know about that. NOW one of my worries would be that if the defendant don’t have any money for the damages then there is nothing that we can do.
What type of lawsuit should be used? What type of remedies should my friend be seeking, and are these remedies appropriate to this type of case? What legal sources will the court consider in deciding if company and hotel (or either of them) are liable for my friends injuries?

A car on the freeway hits a piece of road debris like some torn tire rubber from a big rig. The front end of the car gets banged up and it is 0 in damages. Is this under collision, comprehensive, or uninsured motorist insurance?
Make sure to actually answer the question and not just try to advertise some company to me.

I have liability, collision, and comprehensive insurance. I have crashed the car into a cement wall with no other vehicles involved. I loss control of the car and crashed the car, therefore it’s my fault. Since this is my fault, will the insurance still pay for damages for my car (collision insurance)?

just wondering…it would seem cheaper sometimes to just pay the defendent for damages rather than pay more for lawyer fees and still risk losing and paying even more.
also in a malpractice suit does the malpractice insurance pay for the lawyer and cover the judgement?
