Hey guys, today I was sitting at my desk when a spider came on my chest. I kinda freaked out and accidently tilted my head forward to the point where my chin touches my chest, it was fast though. And I felt kinda a pull near the back of my neck. My back kinda hurts now kinda below where my neck connects to my shoulders. Im walking fine though, but it kinda hurts. What’s going on? Don’t tell me to visit a doctor because I would have done that and woulnd’t be asking here.

Yesterday some black guy in class was messing with me (football thing) he was just playing but hes pretty damn strong and like 6’6" well anyways. I was sitting in my desk and he comes behind me and grabs the back of my head and tries to slam it into the desk, not like real but still it was pretty hard. And I tried to resist and felt like my spinal cord kinda "pull" and I’m still fine I just kinda got some pain in my neck. Just like its sprained or something, did he damage my spinal cord?
I really cant afford to go to the docotor (we are poor, im not even gonna lie) maybe its just a sprain?
I dont think my school has insurance lol
Well it hurts a little bit lower from where ur neck connects to your spine. Like mid back
Thanks guys, yeah he was an asshole and he did it to everyone in the locker room.

I’m 24 years old and I was having some minor back pain off and on for the past few years, mostly mid back, sometimes lower back, depending on whatever activity it was that I was doing. I saw a chiropractor for an adjustment. She took x-rays and found that my hips and tailbone were slightly rotated outward, probably caused by a past injury and a lifetime of poor posture. She thinks this and a weak muscle balance in my back were the root of the back pain.
I’ve seen her twice a week for a couple of months now, where she uses a "micro adjuster" to push my tailbone back into place. I’ve also done daily exercises, stretching and used back support for driving. But my back is actually beginning to hurt worse now! The pain is almost daily. She thinks that since the lower back is straightening out to where it should be, its pulling the rest of the back back in line, something like that. And that the pain is normal and should recede as everything lines up and I get used to it. Sound right?
The pain usually starts the exact second I start to slouch forward while sitting. I try to sit upright, but its hard to being in front of a desk for a good portion of the day.

Okay So I sit at my computer ALOT
Because Im a lazyy butt Get over it X_X
Anywaysss.
I sit in kind of a laid out position
and just have my legs on the desk
then my back will start to hurt and I’ll change positions
then My neck will start hurting and it just goes back and forth.
Will I cause any serious damage to my spinal cord or neck or something by sitting the way I do?

I have a friend with a lower back injury. (L5-S1 disc hemorrhaged) She’s only 21 and has been working in a doctors office on a computer for the last 2 1/2 years. The desks at her work i noticed is non-ergonomic, she’s never had a back injury prior to this one, doesn’t lift heavy things, and she was thinking it might be job related because of her sitting position. Unfortunately her primary doctor works in the clinic she works for. When she went to see them about her injury he told her a hemorrhaged disc can happen over night and that she couldn’t claim it under L&I. An that she can continue working because she couldn’t do any further damage to it at work. Gave her some pain medication and told her go for surgery and some kind of epidural shots. I told her to go somewhere else for a consult and she’s trying to. So i was wondering if it is a possibility this could have happened from her desk set up? An has this happened to anyone else out there?

I went water skiing about the end of june. Since then i have had a very sore lower back. It is safe to say i can not sit still for more than 10 minutes without moving my legs out to stretch and relieve my back. My parents think it is "using new muscles". I can lay down on the floor and sometimes it will feel fine, but sitting up in a chair, couch, desk, etc i cant handle. When i stand up i have no problem with it. I told my aunt and she thinks that it is a pinched nerve. I went to the chiropractor and he said the hip was out and he put it back in and it feels a little better. I try to ice it but it is no use. What might it be. Also if it was using new muscles i am sure i would have no pain now.

Have any of you had a pinched nerve in your back because you were/are pregnant? I am 5 months pregnant and in so much pain sometimes I can’t even walk. Does this go away while you are still pregnant or does it go away after you have the baby. If this keeps up can the doctor put me on bed rest or something? It is extremely hard to sit here at my desk and work when I am in so much pain. Also, I haven’t and don’t want to take any sort of medicine while pregnant or use heating pads so any home remedies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
P.S. I have already gone to the doctor and she said it would have to run its course.

I’m 20 weeks pregnant and sit behind a desk 9 hours a day, 5 days a week. My back is so sore every minute of the day, and every day of the week – even hurts when I lay down to go to bed. Any good remedies for helping to ease the pain?

I’m 16 years old and this year I have neck and back pain almost every day after school. I think it’s my posture, I try to stand up straight but it’s hard for me. I’m usually slouched over in my desk too. Usually I take advil, but I’m wondering if it’s normal for me to have neck pain at my age. And how can I stop getting it? Thank you!

I’ve had lower back pain for a few years, but it’s gotten pretty bad over the last few months. I’m pretty sure it’s because of my chair at my desk, because the pain suddenly gets 5 times worse when I sit down in my chair for a few minutes.
I’ve already bought a few new chairs, but none of them solved the problem. (Even though they felt pretty comfy at the store.)
What should I do?
