march 22, 2008 .I was leaving the beach at Port Aransas Texas on the last saturday of spring break , when a truck struck my car when he was reversing and left it unmovable , im checking out the car when a cop tells me to wait on another that is on his way for me.the other police officer tells me to get inside the car on the paseenger side. im thinking he is going to help me get some help to take my car out of the sand, or contact family . he drives me to the station and performs field sobriety test’s (only two at that) then arresst me for dwi . i had to wiat one month for me to get a accident report after bonding out , becuase the "officers" that were at the accident were all on "vacation". now im waiting court for the dwi 3rd offense that makes it a felony .. (im only 19 ,doesnt everyone expierment with drugs at this age?) now the at fault insurance company wants to only cover 80 percent ot the damages which are more than 3000 dollars . i allready piad my lawyer 4000 dollars.help!

Im 32 weeks prego with my 2nd baby. With my first I had terrible back labor, starting around 29 weeks. With drugs we were able to hold it off untill 39 weeks. Right now I am having some discomfort in my lower back, it isnt as intense as my first ones back labor, but it is more than a normal sore back… I havent been having any noticeable contractions, but I cant help but feel that this pain is something I shouldnt look away from. I called my doc, and he said not to worry, nothing is happening. It just doesnt seem right. Have any of you gone into any kind of labor without noticing the first contractions, and having this same odd dull back pain? If you think it is nothing to worry about what can I do other than Tylenol to help the pain, I was told heating pads are something that shouldnt be used right now… Is that true? Lying in any positon fails to help the pain. Anything and everything will be a big help.
Hubby cant massage my back, he has MS so he is to weak to massage. (he’s so weak I was suprised we were able to make this baby!) Oh well… any other suggestions?

When I was pushin my daughter out of my vagina. I didnt feel anything because the drugs they gave me made me really numb. She was crowning for about 5 hrs so they finally decided to use forceps. When she was born she had facial nerve damage from the doctor misusing the forcepts. I ended up pushing her out myself anyway because they said the forceps didnt help. When we took her to the pediatrician she pointed out that our daughter had facial nerve damage and we got a whole bunch of tests done to confirm that thats what it was. Well anyway I had pregnancy medicaid and my daughter has medicaid. Its been about 6 months now and they billed us! Isnt medicaid supposed to pay for this? And if not I shouldnt have to pay for the doctors mistake. How come when your water breaks and they make you sign all of those papers, they never say that damage can be done to your child by using forceps and they make you sign those papers for them to use those tools???

Because of a recent neck injury my doctor put me on Naproxen, a nonsteroidal anti inflammatory drug to relieve pain and inflammation, and Cyclobenzaprine, which is a muscle relaxer.

Will of these drugs decrease the effectiveness my birth control???

I know that DUI is Driving Under the Influence and DWI is Driving While Intoxicated. Don’t they both mean you’re driving with drugs or alcohol in your system? What’s the difference?

Need to clarify, My son is a good kid. He made a terrible, stupid mistake. He really is a good kid. He is still in High School (because I held him back a year) and he runs cross country track and colleges are interested in him coming to their schools and he has never taken drugs and goes to Church without being told. But yes, he got a DWI on New Years and what I really want to know, is having a Lawyer going to make fines or jail time better than having a public defender?

I am the lawyer, defending a
73 yr old man charged with DWI of a intoxication level of .30. He survived, wife in passenger seat died. He crashed into a Coach Bus driver, with 12 people on his bus, 4 people died which includes the driver of the coach bus. The Bus driver was also drinking and taken drugs (not sure the amount, maybe marjiuana, weed etc).

I have to come of with questions for the:
The 73 yr old man
The 73 yr old mans family, kids grandkids, etc.
The surviving 9 passengers on the bus.

What are some good questions to ask? also, what could I do to prove my clients not the only fault to this accident?

I am being charged with DWI and posession of drugs inside of a vehicle. I am in a really tight situation and am considering just getting a public defender becuase i cannot afford a lawyer. At the preliminary they told me i prob could qualify for a public defender, but all of my friends are highly advising against it. They say that public defenders dont fight for you and that they dont care. They just work for the state and cater to the prosecuters interests more than to yours. Is this true?

It’s the only thing I have found that helps the disc pain in my neck, after trying MANY other treatments and drugs.

He is in pain, he has trouble sitting, lying, walking, everything.
So far we’ve done hot and cold treatments, taken drugs, seen the doctor.
We are looking into this new decompression treatment, chiropractors and accupunturists.
Surgery is the last option he wants to take. Personally, it would be my first.
How can I physically help him, lift his spirits, furthur this process towards healing?

My husband and a co-worker were in an accident on their way home from work. A car full of teens ran a stop sign and pulled right out in front of them. My husband suspects that drinking or drugs were involved because the boys ran from the car trying to flee. 2 of the boys came back and the other 2 took off. Also my husband said he thought he heard a cop say that the driver was only 15 – not even old enough to have a license. Our car was totaled and my husband and his coworker sustained some injuries, and my husband wants to consult our lawyer. Someone told my husband to call the lawyer within 24 hours, but I told him I didn’t think he had to call that soon. How soon do we need to call?

I have been diagnosed 2 times in the last 6 months with sciatica and been put on pain meds and muscles relaxers, what is sciatica and what can be done to help with the pain besides all the drugs? Please help me becasue the pain gets unbearable at times and all my doctor tells me is that it is caused from over use, what am i over useing?
