Why should Tiger Woods be exempt from DWI when he wrecked his car in a fire hydrant and a tree. Just because he is rich , a big sports star and ethnic, he was drunk and he could have killed someone. I can’t believe they just let him go. Maybe his wife should have hit him with a golf club instead of the a window. Just another example to show society who gets privileges.

I was hired as a server at a restaurant and I have to get a liquor license in order to serve liquor. Will I still be able to obtain a liquor license with a DWI on my record in the state of Indiana?

She has saved my life……all nine of them! She has a successful career and is a single mother with a teenage daughter. The consequences of this DWI may result in her losing her license, career and could face jail time!! The irony is she hardly ever drinks. She is humiliated and is an all time low (understandable). How can I help support her and see her through this?

I have heard many different things…Can I drive from the US into Canada with my valid driver’s license & Passport, even though I have had a DWI on my record? Can I be in the car and not be driving and get into Canada? Please advise.

I was arrested for DWI and I have no arrest record or have ever had so much as a speeding ticket. I also refused the breathalyzer test because I was scared and didn’t know what to do. I’m definitely getting a lawyer but I’m just sick about this. I made such a huge mistake and I could use some information.

My son is 20 and received a DWI. The police report is a bit inaccurate like stating he didn’t have insurance but he does, they just didn’t read it right but they didn’t give him a ticket for it. Though i feel the police report should be corrected. But back to some questions, i finally was able to read his police report and he blew a .16 and though i was disappointed and he knew better, they did release him to his aunt 2 hours later where he blew a .15. My question is wouldn’t they hold him longer or put him in jail for the weekend with that level? I don’t want remarks about how terrible this is, we already know including my son. This has affected all of us in every way, I am just wanting the facts. Also, what are the penalties for under 21. And he nor i can’t afford a lawyer and would it be best to request a public defender? any help from the experience would be greatful. Myself has never received a DWI so i have no idea. I am lost and trying to help him with this. Again, i don’t want bad replies. Thank you

Two nights ago my daughter got a DWI (blew a .11) & an after nine ticket and a speeding ticket going 19 mph over. (She’s only 17). She got her license revoked for thirty days. My question is, if I was to get the best lawyer there is, is there anyway all of this could get ex-punged to where she won’t lose her license for a year once she goes to court? She made a stupid mistake and she’s aware of that, but I’m extremely sick, and there’s no way I’m going to be able to drive her around for a whole year.
I don’t need smart comments either, that’s not necessary. My daughters actions have nothing to do with my parenting skills, she’s just a rebel I guess. I just want serious answers please.

I had a Pre Trial Diversion. I didn’t have a lawyer so I’m very confused about what exactly happened. I just went to court, got told it would come off my record when I completed probation in six months or a year? I’m in Texas. Does this mean I was actually convicted?
In the next month, I’m visiting my boyfriend in another country and staying on base. I know there is paperwork that asks if I’ve been convicted of a crime/misdemeanor etc, does this mean I put that I have or haven’t? I don’t want the person I’m visiting to know is why I ask.
Also, if I give my probation officer the information of where I’m staying, address, number, etc, will they call the base to inquire.. I mean it was a DWI not like I’m a huge criminal? I don’t want the person I’m visiting to find out.
Well, I did get 24 hrs community service.. and an alcohol class but that is all I got other than told that I could get it expunged off my record after my probation.??
And I’m visiting out of the country.. it doesn’t come up on my passport?
OH yeah.. It’s Germany..
I had asked him and let him know and he made it seem like it was all fine and dandy. He said all he needed to do was get permission or something with the court so I would need to give him the address, phone number, all the info of where I was going to be at before I left. I was fine until I realized he could call and ask and it would somehow get back to the person I’m visiting and I don’t want him to know. Especially since it’s HOPEFULLY going off my record.. What are the chances he’d call?? Not likely or very likely??

Hi, my father just got a DWI, rolled his car at 70mph and nearly died. His court date is may 16, can I write a letter to the judge or prosecutor imploring them to force my dad to go to treatment?

My 63 year old mother was arrested for a dwi back in august even though she didn’t drink. She was pulled over for not driving straight; the cop that pulled her over kept trying to imply she was on heavy medication which she wasn’t. She suffered from a mild stroke a few weeks earlier which was the reason her voice was slurred.
Anyways, she refused to have a BAC test because the cop said it wouldn’t matter, he was still going to take her in. So she was arrested and my father bailed her out.
Her hearing is coming up. What should we expect? Our family’s never dealt with anything like this. Should we hire a lawyer? We live in Texas in Brazoria County which is in the greater Houston area.

I got a DWI when I was 18 years old along with other things. Will this "bar" me from passing the background check? What other types of criminal charges would keep me from passing the test? Be specific! Thanks!

my son signed on a loan with his girlfriend and she took the car and moved. it was repo-ed and he didn’t know until he got court papers. Now the bank can’t find her and they are going to garnish my son’s wages for the full amount. We are willing to pay half but not everything. Someone told us it was eligal in missouri to give a loan to someone with a 5 year suspension for a DWI.
