erectile dysfunction after back injury?

i have had a back injury since 1999. i am not sure if i was having erectile dysfunction issues before this or not. i have been treated for low testosterone, but the treatments have not helped with the erectile dysfunction. i get erections usually in the morning and can usually get one if i am being physically touched/manipulated. but i can’t seem to get one by thinking about sex or looking at porn or anything. i can get turned on, etc. but i don’t get an erection until there is physical contact. could this be related to my lower back injury? if so, is there anything i can do? is there a "cure"? if i stick with my exercises, will it improve? i am 26 and have been dealing with this since i was 18 years old and i really can’t take it anymore. thanks for any help.
i would really like to emphasize how i am unable to "think" myself into an erection. i do get nocturnal erections… i am able to get an erection, but it requires physical manipulation. sexual thoughts, porn, etc. do not work…

Exercising with lower back injury?

I injured my lower back in a fall last week. It is healing, but still a little sore. I don’t want to reaggravate it, but I’m going crazy not exercising. Can anyone recommend any exercises (cardio or toning) that are low impact (especially on the lower back)? Thanks!

What exercises can I do with a slipped disc?

I have a slipped disc and I wanted to know what exercises can I do that won’t put pressure on my back and it will help me stay in shape? My doctor told me to do some biking, lite swimming and lite walking, but I was wondering if anybody knows what else I can do?

I suffered from a slipped disc a year or so ago, after months of mild backache due to back posture and obesity. I haven’t really been the same since the incident but I lost 2 stone (not enough weight to lose but a start) and was starting to get stronger. Being on my feet for long periods of time and sitting down caused some problems but I was 90% ok really.

I narrowly missed having to have surgery because I had numbness down one side of my leg… it was only mild numbness and I had horrific sciatia too. the numbness never really went away to be honest but my physio and dr were kinda laid back about it.

2 weeks ago I had a bad flare up. My lower back pain was kinda bad (although not acute) and the numbness in my buttock, saddle and back of the thigh seems worse. My DR thinks I am fine and the physio said that the disc must just be a bit inflamed again and not to pain but, I am panicking, I thought that if you get numbness you have to have surgery because it can damage your nerves?? My legs also feel jellyish sometimes, like weak but to b honest it’s worse when im worried so that might be anxiety.

I am doing my exercises to strengthen my core, losing weight and improving my posture (I am not needing painkillers) but I am worried that this is getting ignored, should I just calm down? lol I am going to rome next week for 2 days and I am worried about that, as I had to cancel a holiday 2 weeks ago because of being worried that the disc will come out again!

Help!

My dachshund Dexter has a slipped disc. He was on bed rest for a couple weeks and the past week or so I’ve been doing exercises with him in the bathtub. Anyway he is starting to walk. Before he would just drag his legs, now he puts his back legs up as normal but after a few steps they wobble like he is unsteady and usually he plops down, then gets back up. Is this normal? I’ve had to carry him to the grass a ways from my apartment because he’s still dragging a bit and on the concrete it hurts his skin.

Will he always be a bit wobbly like this? I hope it will get better..it will be probably not be completely gone but enough that he’s able to walk more easily..are there any other exercises I should do with him besides the bathtub to get his back legs strong again (ive noticed he has put on a bit of muscle). Should I encourage him to move as much as possible inside (on the carpet)? Thank you
yes Ive seen the vet twice (once right after he slipped the disc and the last time about 2 weeks ago)

Herniated Disc…In Pain…Please Help!?

Let me just start off saying that I also have scoliosis and have had back issues for the past 15 years. I had pain so great last summer that radiated down my leg into my toes that I went to physical therapy 3x a week and popped Vicodin and muscle relaxants like crazy. Well, it’s back and its been almost two weeks. I’m in agony and I have a two year old that I am home with all day. It’s been very hard to care for her plus limp around in pain. Is there anything that I can do at home to help without having to call the doc? I don’t have anyone to watch her during the day to go to PT and I’m trying my best to avoid it so I’ve been starting the exercises that I was shown a year ago…it helps for awhile, just so the pain is tollerable, and then starts in again. HELP!
