DWI || District Attorney's office?

Hello,

I have a "First offender DWI BAC .08" with no accident just few days ago and was bailed bond out. I have an clean record, no crime before.

Someone said before looking for lawyer, to save some money, I should "contact the District Attorney’s office for the court in question and ask them if you can plead to a lesser charge? "

So what is "District Attorney’s office" and who they are?

Are they have ability help me out ?

Are they able to lesser the fine charge ?

Do I still have to go to court ?

I’m in Houston TX, Harris County and have court day on May at court #9 Which District Attorney’s office should I looking for ? I google around ( http://www.google.com/search?q=houston+texas+District+Attorney&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a ) but don’t know where to start

Thanks

My ex was infected with herpes prior to us dating and did not tell me. Here in Milwaukee, our clinics will not test for herpes unless you have visible symptoms so a culture can be taken. So I had no way of finding out besides him telling me, and he opted not to. After a year of dating, I saw his prescription for Acyclovir and Googled it. I was shocked and frightened that it was used to treat genital herpes. I questioned him about it and within a few days, developed a single sore and was diagnosed with herpes. I have a recorded conversation in which he asks, "Why are you so mad at this?", and I respond, "I have herpes because of you! There’s nothing I can do to change that!" He responds, "What was I supposed to do? Just tell you baby I have herpes?" Our names were used as well. Wouldn’t this be enough for a civil suit against him? And does anyone know law firms here who handle these cases?
Wisconsin is a one-party state. So as long I was a participant in the recorded conversation, I was the consenting party. I’m ok there. Unfortunately, Wisconsin doesn’t charge ppl criminally for STD transmission. But there’s no way he can be garnished or anything? No liens? I just feel its unfair that due to his dishonesty, I have to shell out money every month to pay for meds for the rest of my life, and he walks away completely unpunished and not being held accountable.

Which doctor do I need to see for this injury??

About a month ago I injured my finger in an auto accident. It seemed minor at first but it keeps swelling up and painful to touch and bend.

Swelling dissapears after I ice it for several days then it returns few days later. My chiropractor took an xray and bone is not broken. But he cant do anything for it cause he’s not a real doctor I guess.

A few days ago I got a DUI in California, I’m 20 and I blew a .15 on 3 tests (2 next to the police car and one at the station.) I did the sobriety test as well and told the officer that I was drinking. Is it worth it to get an attorney? I’m trying to avoid my license getting suspended. Half of my friends say just to go to court without paying an attorney because there’s no use and the other half is saying to always consult a lawyer. I talked to a few lawyers but still can’t make a decision. How often do they lessen charges if that BAC is almost double the legal limit? (also considering I am under 21)

I had made another post in regards to Weight Watchers points, but there is a lot more to be considered here, so I figured I should start a whole new post.

I am 4’9" tall, weigh 119 pounds, and I have one herniated and two degenerative discs in my back.

I do not like taking pain medication, so the only way I could avoid taking it was to stop exercising. I now have to take the elevator to my office at work, which is on the 5th floor, and avoid strenuous exercise. So far, walking seems to be okay.

I also quit smoking in January. This along with the Lyrica, (which caused rapid weight gain), has been a nightmare for me.

I recently started taking supplements of Cayenne Fruit, Green Tea with Hoodia and Cinnamon with Chromium to help boost my metabolism. It has only been a few days, so I cannot report any results.

What else can I do to lose weight since I cannot exert myself with physical activity?

I recently helped my sister move and I’ve been under a lot of stress at work, so it came as no surprise to me when I devolped fever, chills, fatigue and body ache. I just thought it was stress. So a few days went by and i started to feel well enough to go out to eat. While eating I pulled my chair closer to the table to allow more room, thus making me sit up straighter. I noticed a few sharp tingling sensations and just brushed it off. The next day I was in agony and had trouble laying down as well as laughing. When I do thses two things I have trouble breathing and the pain is horrible. I can feel pain along my rib from front to back as well as in my upper shoulder. So I can’t tell if I have a pincehd nerve or cracked rib. Any input is appreciated.

Other than getting off my feet and using a heating pad does anyone know of anything that helps relieve sciatic pain? For me it just started a few days ago and I can barely walk it is so painful.

My dog might have spinal injury, Help?

My 6 months old dog jerry suffered accident 3 days back. I immediately took him to a vet who after diagonosing him gave few injections and said that jerry has no serious injury from inside and only external injuries. Medicines he gave were antibiotic and pain killer. However during night jerry kept groaning in pain. Next morning I saw that he still is not standing on legs and urinating and stooling involuntarily, I took him back to the vet This time vet said that it may be serious internal injury and may not heal. I then went to another vet who was also not equipped and just by looking at him said that we can give only pain killer and antibiotics and wait for few days to see jerry’s response. I searched on net and found one more vet far away from our place. I called him on phone and took his appointment on next day. He was generous enough to suggest me that if I am not able to see him I should give vitamin doses to jerry that may help boost nervous system. In night I massaged jerry’s insensitive back and legs for 2-3 hrs. Next morning when I woke up , Jerry saw me and wagged his tail a little which was lying without movement for past 2 days. This gave me some hope . I took him to the vet but vet after looking at him said that this could be a paralysis because whenever I lifted jerry he would urinate. He still gave a homeopathic medicine causticum which is used in paralysis. I came back and while massaging I noted he would slightly lift his paws. This day he also ate eggs and drank milk which was a good sign for me. Today morning I saw him wagging tail more furiously. I took him to another vet and he pinched jerry’s fingers with some instrument to which jerry withdrew his legs back. I was happily surprised, but vet said that it was a deep pain sensation but still I was happy to hear that word sensation. Vet also said that chances of recovery are high in young dogs and gave new medicine to him for next 7 days but even he is not sure of jerry’s position. We do not have equipped vets in our area. Please somebody tell what are his chances after all I have writtern. I see hope in every little progress he makes. Jerry’s weight is 14 kgs and is labra mix breed i guess. Please help somebody

The accident was the other person’s fault and he had good insurance. My car has already been fixed and I have no injuries but I’m not sure how much to ask for when it comes to the inconvenience of the process (I was hurting for a few days after the accident & really stressed out).

I was injured at a local store. A display type box (above shoulder height on shelf) of the new style large curved shower curtain rods fell on my head and shoulder. (It contained 5 of these curtain rods) I reported it to the store manager on duty as none of the employees I came in contact with cared to do anything about the incident, and a few days later someone called to check up on me and I told them I wanted to file a claim.

A representative for the claim called and recorded our conversation and said if I sought medical care to call back and they would send out a medical release form for me to sign. I told her that I definitely needed to seek chiropractic care as the box falling on my head and shoulder have aggravated a pre-existing condition. (I realize now that I probably shouldn’t have mentioned that fact) She went ahead and mailed out a form.

Problem is, we just moved here and I have no form of transportation or insurance. I am unable to work due to other health problems, but do not receive disability. We rely solely on my fiance’s income and whatever we need has to wait til he gets off work. I finally found a chiropractor that I could attend as I have multiple chemical sensitivities and it takes some time to find an office that has no fragrances being used, lysol etc.

I have been there at least 6 times now and am doing better, but still require adjustments 2x week currently. Almost ready for once a week visits and hopefully once a month after that.

The store representative had told me if I sought medical care to call and let her know and they would look at my records and see if they would come to a settlement. She said I could go anywhere I wanted for treatment.

Is it common for a company to have you fill out a medical release form that says they can request access to medical records other than the ones directly related to an incident? It’s been almost a month and I haven’t signed the form yet, but she called the other day and left a message asking if I’d received care and to call her. I don’t know what to do about the form?

Should I fill it out and see what kind of a settlement if any they come back with before contacting a lawyer or should I contact a lawyer before signing the form. It looks like a standard, generic accident compensation form for work or consumer. Basically, it has you check a box of what kind of claim it is and then asks your signature for release of any medical records and requires a social security number. That is the part that bothers me most, I guess. I am always leary of giving that info out. I know it is probably standard practice. The store seems to be cooperating currently and appears to just want the medical release form sent in order for them to come to a settlement….. if any.

Again, I do not work and I have no transportation. So money is very limited and time is also as my fiance’ already works 10-12hr days regularly and we find it very difficult to see the chiro 2x week. Trying to also fit in time to see a lawyer would be extremely difficult, but we would do what we need to if it is something we should do instead of filling out this form.

Is there a time limit on filling this out also?
I did not feel there was a need for an ambulance. I was not bleeding. I requested an ice pack which they gave me.

I had cosmetic surgery in mexico and was release from their care 2 liters low of blood. I then a few days later was rushed to the ER and was told I had a Blood clot in my right lung due to the surgery and have been treated for this for over 6 months. I am now wondering what my legal rights are.

My doctor did a lumber MRI like 2 months ago because of some back, and leg pain I was having and found out I have a bulging disc. I am going in for an epidural injection in my back on monday, but just the last few days my pain has gotten A LOT worse. My back is KILLING me. I am in so much pain I cant even bend over. Every time I sneeze or cough etc Im almost in tears. At my physical therapy I go to, today I was in tears just from the normal simple exercises I do. My physical therapist suggested that maybe my pain has intensified because maybe my bulging disk is now herniated, or ruptured… Could that possibly be the reason for my EXTREMELY intensified pain?

How long after a DWI is the arraignment?

Usually? I assume it’s within a few days, to a few weeks, but not much longer than a month. Anybody know?
