About a week and a half ago I had gone snowboarding. Near the end of the day I was boarding down a slope and I had hit a hole in the snow while trying to avoid someone who had fallen. I had landed flat on my back and rolled over a couple of times and fell on my back once or twice more on the way down (I was a little dizzy/dazed after the first time). My back does not hurt constantly, but my lower back hurts only when hunch over or bend at a certain angle. If i hit this angle when trying to get up from a laying position the pain becomes intense for a split second or so. I also have a difficult time jumping up steps (I bunnyhop bleachers in my phys training class) Is there a way to even treat this at home? Should I wait a little longer to see if it improves, or should I see someone? I’m in my teens btw so old age isnt the problem.

I have tried twice to undergo an mri, but when I lie flat on my back the pain is so intense I cannot handle it! I’m at the end of my rope, and I just wonder if there’s anyone else out there who has had this same problem. What alternatives did your doctor give you?

Im 16 weeks pregnant and i was told not to lay flat on my back because it can cause all sorts of naughty things, but i eventually everynight end up falling asleep like that because its most comfy, i wake up every morening with the feeling of a pinched nerve in my back, could it be a result of this?

By a fall I had a few weeks ago on the ice? When coming out of an office a few weeks ago I slipped on black ice and landed flat on my back. The other day I had an MRI and it showed I had a bulging disc..did the fall cause that to happen?
At rimes I have some discomfort, but nothing I can’t live with, now my Dr wants me to go for pain management..and I don’t know if that’s necessary.

I am 34 weeks pregnant and I have a pinched nerve in my lower back. It kind of comes and goes which makes me think that it might just be the way that the baby is sitting, but is there anything I can do to relieve the pain?
P.S. I don’t lay flat on my back either, so that is not the culpret.

I have a slipped disc (L5) and am starting PT on Monday. I was getting into the bath but backed up into the towel bar and hit almost EXACTLY where I have the pain from the L5 and where they showed me where it was (I have a tattoo there so that’s how I remembered). The pain was white hot when I first did it, still stabbing, but not as bad, it was a little to the left of where the disc is but now my whole lower back hurts REALLY bad (like you know when you hurt yourself so bad you’re in shock and don’t even cry). I don’t know what to do, I took the percocet I have for it, but I’m not sure if I should call my doctor or whatnot. I am lying flat on my back and can wiggle my toes and everything.

I am 16 wks pregnant and have horrible sciatic nerve pain on both sides. It is especially painful when I go to bed. The moment I lay down, both nerves feel as though they are being cut!
My doctor’s nurses suggest I lay on my left side when lying down, but that’s the side that hurts the worst.
It just pretty much hurts on both sides as well as flat on my back. And of course I can’t lay on my stomach. Any advice?
