My almost 2 year old son has fractured his lower leg and has a cast on it for 4 weeks. The radiologist missed the fracture the first time and 4 days later we went back and he had to get the cast. My question is – how long will it take for him to want to walk on it again? Will he be able to walk on it with the cast and when should I see him want to do this. Also he seems a lot more cranky and tired than usual. Is this normal? Help! I feel so bad for the poor little guy!
He also seems not as interested in eating. He just got the cast on Mon am.

Several years ago when I was in high school I got hit with a thrown baseball below the eye. I went to the doctor the next morning but they never took xrays, and said it was a contusion. However, ever since there’s an on and off slight tightness below the eye after I touch it.

I went back to a couple of doctors the past couple of years, but they refused to take xrays.

I broke my neck between c3,4 and 7,8. The c7 and 8 fracture healed on it’s own with the use of a rigid neck brace. The fracture at 3 and 4 required surgery and the use of cadavier bone.
Will my neck ever be able to safely handle the stress and impact of competing in Jiu Jitsu, again. I miss the sport, exercise and competition, but not enough to become a parapallegic.

I fractured my third metacarpal last sunday and my hand is in a soft cast. Is there any way of quickening up the healing process, is it best to keep the hand elevated and how long does a typical metacarpel fracture take to heal?

A big rock hit my car windshield about couple months ago while I was driving on the highway. I did not notice a fracture crack about 1 inch until three days ago. During the time I noticed the crack on my window until I got home (approximately 1/2 hour), the crack lengthened to about 1 foot. I also wondering what other options I have besides replacing my windshield.

The fracture occured when a person karate chopped a person in the chest. This can lead to cardiac contusion, but I suppose only if hit in a certain area. Will fracturing the 5th and 6th ribs cause significant bruising to the heart?
