So heres the situation: I was in a car accident over two weeks ago. I was going to turn left when a car smashed into me, running a red light. They were totally at fault, I have witnesses. My car is drivable, but I havent been driving it to work since the bumper is off, the headlight is busted, and just basically smashed up. Anyways, I contacted their insurance company (American Access Casualty Company) which from what I’ve read is one of the worst insurance companies who will drag their feet and take forever getting back to you. They finally sent an adjuster out last week, said they’d contact me in 48 hours, and never did. I finally had to call them and leave harrasing voicemails, and they finally returned my call, saying my car is considered totalled, and the reason they havent pursued it further is because they’re waiting on a police report and they cant get ahold of the people who hit me. Im pretty sure this is just bs, as many people have told me insurance companies will say and do anything to prolong paying you. This is my first wreck, so Im not sure what to do here. I already called and made an appointment with a car accident lawyer. Im just wondering how long it should take with the help of a lawyer to get my money for my car, pain and suffering, and time without a car. Im starting school in less than 2 weeks, and have to have a way to get around. Thanks!
i had a big bruise under my chin from where the airbag deployed, but no medical bills, since i didnt go to a doctor. but i had to miss work the day after it happened because of headaches and sore bruise, so that should count for something, plus all this time ive been without a car, in my state (arkansas) they have to pay you for the time you didnt have your car. it was 100% not my fault, i did stop before going to turn, they literally came out of nowhere. i have 2 witnesses, so if anyone tries to say i am at fault at all, i have 2 peoples names and numbers who will say different.

I’m 19 and suffer from Chronic Migraines and some pretty bad neck and upper back pains. Marijuana helps sooth me and relieve the tension in my neck and shoulders along with easing the pain of my Headaches. Do you think that this would be enough for a recommendation from a doctor? Just wondering because I do live in Calif.

About a week ago ,I got into the dumbest accident. We were both in the right most lane to turn right on the red light. It was dark and she was about to turn but hesitated and stopped at the curviture point of the turn. I thought she went, and the road was pretty clear of the traffic since it was midnight. She was about 5 to 6 ft away from me. I hit my accelerator and hit her. I was ultimately shocked. She set there for the longest crying. The EMT and fire trucks came out. I hit her at about 12-15 mph . My bumper had paint damage and popped out a little bit. Her back bumper had paint damage and her back light was broken due to the impact. She claims that she has hit her head on the steering wheel, which in my mind could only happen if she wasn’t wearing a seat belt. The trooper gave me a ticket, which I do deserve. She chose not to go to the hospital, but mentioned that she would be going to a doctor to get checked out. She also claimed that she had injuries from a previous accident that did not heel completely, which is understandable. She claimed that when she hit the steering wheel , her neck bounced back really fast and that she had headaches. My biggest fear is that she will attempt to sue me for injuries, lost wages, medical bills, and loss of happiness. I do have the insurance, but the process is going to take forever since the traffic report does not come for 10 days. Any ideas on this matter?

I was a passenger in the crash and suffered some mildish whiplash and ever since then I get headaches every single day. they dcotors can’t find a prognosis. so half this question is for amount of money I can get for pain and suffering and the other half are suggestions for me to figure out the prognosis or suggest any good related information.

She has been on methadone for quite a while and never had this problem and then the headaches started and now she has a migrain every single day and sleeps almost all day. Does methadone cause these effects?
They started right around the time she upgraded from 40mg to 80mg.

I am currently under chiropractic care and found that my atlas vertebrae actually touches my skull when I tilt my head forward and backward. According to my doctor this has been the cause of my headaches throughout my life. I was wanting to research more information about this condition. Does anyone know more about it??

Has anyone out there had this procedure and had the headaches afterwards. I first thought they were migranes, but I took the meds I usually take for migranes and have not gotten any relief. The pain meds given to me for post-op pain aren;t even cutting it. Other thatn the headaches, I really feel pretty good. Any help would be appreciated.

I had a lumbar puncture about two months ago. I have had back pain at the puncture site (especially when in forward flexion for a while) and left-sided headaches ever since. I used to be a powerlifter and developed quite thick ligaments along my spine because of the deadlifts. When the dr. did the puncture, he had to get a second needle because the first one bent. Is it possible that he poked too many holes or my supraspinous ligament tore? How can you tell if you have a CSF leak? and where does it leak to and from? Please let me know what you think as I would like to get rid of this back pain and these headaches. Thanks!

I have a bulging disc in C-5/C6 and the MRI showed no nerve compression of any sort. However, the neck is supposed to be curved and mine is abnormally straight. I still have full range of motion and flexibility, but not in my right shoulder right now…I was in a car accident about 2 months ago. For the past two weeks I have not done anything to bring on this intense shoulder pain that radiates down to my elbow and sometimes into my hand. I was prescribed muscle relaxers and NSAID’s but they do not help at all! I see a chiropractor, physical therapist, massage therapist and my MD on a weekly basis.I feel like the pain has gotten significantly worse over the past two weeks and I am getting a lot more headaches as well. Can a rupture be causing this pain? How can I tell if it ruptured? Is there anything else I can do to alleviate my pain?

I am due with my 3rd child in a week and have had one baby without an epidural and the last one with one. However the blood patches and headaches from the epidural mistake was WORSE than labor. (Yes, if that is possible) Help? Likelyhood of this happening again?

Hello, I got sick about 6 months ago with bowell problems, headaches, backaches and chest wall pain. I went to the doctor and my white blood count was low and all of my other blood test were good. I have been having dizzy spells and they did ANA test and told me that I have Lupus. I really don’t think that I have lupus. The only symptoms that I had was the Pos ANA and Low WBC. I just got my MRI results and they said I have a brain and I have a bulging disc on the L3-4, disc posterior. I also have a mild psterior herniation L5-S1 with impingement of the neural foramina bilaterally. Could my symptoms for the last six months be because of the results from the MRI? Please only respond if you have good answers with education or websites to back it up. Thanks and God bless all of you!

My doctor said i had a pinched nerve but before i seen her I was having major headaches and now I have new symptoms I am having a sensation that it feels like my foot and my leg are on fire im having pain and numbness can anyone help thank you.

I got an LP performed on Sunday and I have been having severe LP headaches. How long after the LP does these last. Also What works best to relieve this horrid pain? Thanks
