I had a claim today the member lives in a no fault state for auto insurance. A medical claim was submitted and it was a work related auto accident (mail carrier), workers comp has denied the claim, will the no fault automobile insurance pick this up? Even if it’s a work related auto injury?
Sorry, evidentally I was very vague when asking my question..
I work for the person’s health insurance company, and we’re trying to investigate third party liability. The member is the subscriber/insured of our plan. She is a mail carrier and was injured in a car accident while delivering mail. Workers comp denied their claim for whatever reason, but now we’re being told we need to investigate if their auto insurance will pay as they live in a no fault state. If you live in a no fault state when you’re in an accident your auto insurance pays for your damages regardless of who’s at fault. The other drivers insurance pays for their on damages as well. So I’m asking if her auto insurance will pay for her damages/medical expenses if she’s injured in a work related car accident. Or will her auto insurance pay regardless of whether it’s a work related injury or not?
Do you think we should do more investigation as to why workers comp denied the claim?

If I was in a car accident and my health insurance pays all but 00 (lets say) of my medical bills and my car insurance has a 100,000 benefit for accidental injury while in my vehicle, does it really only pay out the ,000? and does that money go right to the hospital?
What if I want something that would pay me a lump sum to my home, like enough to replace my income while I can’t work due to the injury?

I was treated right after the accident for whiplash. It’s in my medical records but then was unable to go to treatment for some time because of other problems but injury got worse now the chiropractor won’t work on me because he says the insurance company won’t usually pay after this time loss. Also the auto insurance company won’t preauthorize treatment and I can’t afford the a visit co-pay required for using my health insurance. I’m on Social Security.

For example, I went through physical therapy due to injuries sustained from an auto accident. My health insurance company paid for the physical therapy. Once the claim is settled, will part of the amount of the settlement be used to reimburse my health insurance company for the physical therapy?

My daughter shattered her arm in an auto accident last weekend (Friday) and had surgery a week later (Friday) to fix it. She was the passenger in the car. She does not have any health insurance. The police report states that due to conflicting stories, they cannot place who was at fault. But I was able to obtain a CD from a service station that had the accident on tape. The other party turned in front of my daughter while they both had a green light. After asking around to friends and family, nobody knows of a good attorney for me to contact! I’m looking for all of her medical bills to be paid, as well as lost wages. Has anybody had success with a certain lawyer or know of a good one I can call? I would really like a referral instead of just picking one out of the phone book. Thanks!

Question Details: i had an acccident about a year and half ago and i was a passenger. i have no health insurance and have been footing all medical bills thus far. i am writing a demand letter right now but am wondering how much should be my compensation request.
here’s a brief summary. the other driver is at complete fault. i have all soap notes from doctors, bills and reports. we were hit head on while on our way to my root canal surgery, i was having my permanent put in. i had to go in 2 weeks later wearing a cervical collar. i have choronditis, back sprains and horrible knee contusions still left on my foot. my doctor has recommended physical therapy for up to 3 months but i can’t afford to go anymore thus why i am trying to settle.
total medical bills is about 12,000 not including other misc like pills.
i just don’t want to ask too high or be taken for a fool,so please help. thanks.
also the insurance company has never made an offer they said it was a hard hit. both cars in
honey luv. thx. yes i have police reports, soap notes from doctors, medical reports, er report, all bills, xray files and copies. it is other driver’s fault b/c of failure to yield. this was a head on accident and occurred early morning. would i be reimbursed for out of pocket expenses and should i include that in my medical expenses or not?

What kind of information does a lawyer need to file a personal injury lawsuit? If you have health insurance from the state do they contact the state that supply you with the health insurance to get all the medical bills they paid and what not?

I was in a one car accident where we skidded on an icy road and hit the guard rails on both sides. My neck hurts now, but I was told that if I go to the doctor I have to use my auto insurance rather than my health insurance. I’d much rather use my health insurance so that it doesn’t go in my driving record…
I may not claim any damage to the car if the cost of it is the same as the premium. I am having a mechanic evaluate the damage before I call the insurance company. We didn’t file a police report.
And I do agree that not mentioning that it was due to a car accident is not helpful to the doctor!

hi all
i had car accident 6 months ago and i went for 1 month to chiropractic for injury related problem due to accident.
accident was other person fault.
Hes insurance agreed to pay for everything.
i also got a lawyer who took my case.
now, 6 months later, collection company hired from my health insurance company contacted me saying that they also paid for my medical treatment (accident related)and they want money back.
i told them to call my lawyer.
Now if i understand my lawyer charged my health insurance and other insurance(from other person involved in accident).
is this possible?
if yes can i be in trouble for this (even if i didnt know anything about this!).
And why my health insurance contact us after 6 months when case is already closed?

Do group health insurance plans typically cover balances remaining for treatment related to automobile accidents after auto insurance personal injury protection has paid its maximum benefit?

I have a problem with my lower back/tailbone area which made it very difficult to walk for awhile. I already made it worse the other day by getting on the treadmill too soon. I am afraid that if I start exercising to soon after the pain goes away that I will make it worse again, but I can’t stand all the lying around! I need to exercise! Any advice?
(Before you say "See a doctor", I must note that at the moment I do not have health insurance and will see a doctor as soon as that happens, and I realize this is not a substitute for such action.)

My friend is moving to TN from FL. Her brother was badly injured in a four wheeler acident. Only two weeks out from loosing their current Health insurance. Process of moving, will she still be able to quit her job?
With Health First insurance in FL, how difficult is it to switch insurance after a bad injury?
