I suffered a spiral fracture to my left fibula near the ankle on January 31, 2009. A fiberglass cast was applied to my leg and it was removed on March 19th. My ankle/leg is still not the same size as my uninjured leg; the ankle still appears swollen. How long will it be until my leg is normal again, and how can I help the process along? Thanks.

I’m talking about serious medical procedures here. Do not suggest chiropractics, homeopathic remedies, reflexology, magnet therapy, or prayer. I want suggestions that can actually help my dad recover, to strengthen his back, and to relieve his constant pain. One more serious injury could permanently disable him, so I need some serious suggestions as to how he can have a swift return to health.

I have been looking at a horse on the internet. She is 10 yrs. old, a beautiful grey andalusian qh cross, and has no health problesm- except an injury in her hind leg that causes a funny gait. I’ve contacted the owner, who says it’s probably a pinched nerve. She also said the mare won’t be able to jump more than a crossrail. I would love for the mare to be able to jump and move with more ease. Is there anything I could do other than dressage, which I would do if I got her, that could help fix the nerve and possibly help her jump and move more easily? If yes, would it have to be surgical or very expensive? I’d prefer not to pay thousands if there is something else I could do.

My daughter has scoliosis and has been struggling with this for about two years. She wore a brace and nothing really helped her curve got worse. The doctors decided that for her health and because of breathing problems they are going to do her spinal fusion surgery. Has anyone had this surgery? How long was recovery? Are you ok now? Did you have to have a second surgery? Did you need a blood transfusion? How long did your surgery take? Anything we should know. Thanks .

My family doc knew for awhile that I had a severe health prob but never made a big deal out of it at all. I went to another doc and they told me that if I had known that it could have been prevented, What would you do?

Should we wait until the court hearing is adjourned and our bankruptcy is done completely (this month)? We are facing more battles with my health as a result of, I believe, is a form of malpractice. However, I have heard that if a lawsuit is being filed, a bankruptcy cancels it out. I am not sure what my options are.
OK it is not a "form" it IS malpractice, for sure.

my mom passed in August 2009. I am wanting to find out if I have a legitimate legal malpractice suite against her doctor for not reading labs for an entire month, which ultimately set her in the downward spiral in her health. also leading her to spend three weeks in the hospital undiagnosed, and another two week stent in the hospital, with her demise of a stroke.

I’m just about to graduate high-school and am interested in the health and medical field, specifically cosmetic surgery. However, someone recently told me that it isn’t worth it because most of a surgeon’s earnings goes into medical malpractice insurance and I might as well save myself the torture of med school and just look for a different career with a lower salary and little or no malpractice insurance to deal with. So I’m just curious about what other people have to say about that. Is my friend right?
