Finding An Attorney In New York For Herniated Disc And Spinal Cord Injuries
I have a herniated disc in the C4/C5 region and a bulging disc below it. I have tried physical therapy, acupuncture, ice packs, heat packs - but nothing seems to relieve the pain. Any suggestions?
Hi I am asking this question only to people whom have tried decompression with good or bad results. Sorry but otherwise I get either bias answers or people who think they know it all from reading an article. So I really want to here from people who have actually experienced it and what there results are. If you could, I would like to know what it was you were treated for, but anything similar would be good. I am 21 and have MRI findings of degenerative disc disease at two levels with one bulging / herniated disc. I have slight leg pain and get bad muscle spasms if i try to be active at all. I’ve tried nearly every solution out there besides surgery so please do not tell me how else I can fix it, and sorry if I sound rude when I say that, but I am really just looking for people with experience. Last if you do have something that may be way out of the ordinary that you think would possibly help me with this problem, I am very open minded to trying knew things. Thanks for reading…

My wife and I were in an auto accident in Feb 08. It was in our 1993 Chevy truck. The other driver ran a red light and hit the driver side. As a result my head broke out the driver side window. I did not go to the ER in the ambulance we drove after the report was filed with the police. I went for neck and low back pain and wife sustained buises to her right arm and right knee. They did a Catscan that ruled I had severe whiplash and for the back pain they told me to folow up with a chiro. I recieved 2 month of treatment from them for my back. I actually stopped going because the visits started hurting. After not going for a week or so. It still hurt a getting out of bed and every now and then it would remind me. I am a police officer and light duty is not an option. Anything can happen at anytime. About a month ago I woke on a day off and I couldn’t walk without have back pain and shooting pain around my ribs, breathing hurt.I thought it was the way I slept. cont.
The pain persisted all day. I decided to sleep on another bed. All night and the next morning PAIN,PAIN,PAIN. So I went to the ER I couldn’t even made it from the car to the door. After 7 hours of getting my pain under control.|The ER doctor advised that I have a herniated disc and gave me a week off work. So in bed on my back for four days pain lets up enough to return to work. I followed up with my doctor who gave me more pain medication and sent me for x-rays. Now at work I have to get out of my patrol car periodically because my legs go numb. |I have stopped wearing my bulletproof vest because it helps a little. BAD IDEA I know but what do I do Find a new career. Still have to go back to see what x-rays showed but I am wondering what to do about the injury settlement. We already settled the vehicle part. The damages were 00 to the vehicle totalling it. Considering the truck was worth 00.

She was issued the ticket and declared at fault, I have a witness who has given a recorded statement to the insurance company to that fact and also on the report for the police. My two small children were in the car but the main impact was on my side and door. I went to the hospital as soon as I could after (when husband came home because my car was towed) Damages on car are 6,000.00 and so far it looks like med bills will be over 3000 easy. I have an MRI next week but we think it is a bulging or herniated disc in my back. I also had whiplash and head problems from head hitting window (nothing serious, but blurred vision and headaches). I have been out of work 3 wks already and can’t do much at home ( I am a homemaker by day and hair stylist by night and weekend) I can’t stand for long or even sit up for long. Anyone know what we can expect?
I am not looking to get rich but I am looking for what is fair. This was completely the other drivers fault and I have proof in the form of a witness and her ticket. My father is a lawyer but he doesn’t do this sort of case much anymore so he said he would refer me to someone if he thought we would be better off than with just the insurance company.
What did/do you do to help it heal, or what helped reduce pain? I’m in a lot, and just found out that it’s a herniated disc causing the pain.

so ive been to the doctor eh 8 times since June (7 months) and they did X-rays on my legs and blood tests and found nothing (at the time my back didnt hurt). The last few months my back has been hurting along with my legs..It kind of has the pully feeling in it and my legs just ache everyday.. I am 15 and this has gone on for 7 months. I exercise and am active.. I read up on causes of this pain and I really think that’s what it is.. I also read treatments for herniated discs but they said rest was 1st and most goes away with like 3 months and some exercise.. well i’ve exercised and it’s been way longer than three months.. so i was wondering if it does turn out to be a herniated disc do you think i will end up needing surgery since it has gone on this long and the pain is still going on everyday pretty bad..
I think I have a herniated disc, but I am not seeing the neurologist until the end of the month. My symptoms are weakness in the legs, switching legs sometimes, mostly the thigh but sometimes the calf. Most of my symptoms pretty closely match the symptoms I have read online for herniated disc. I have no pain, though. However, I never see muscle trmembling in the legs as one of the symptoms. Did you experience this? I had an MRI that showed disc problems (my friend owns a MRI center and id and read the MRI as a favor), butI am worried that somwthing more could be going on. Did anyone wiht a herniated disc have this trembling in the leg muscles?
is it best to get the back fixed by a specialist. I mean, will the blood flow be cut off to the leg at some point, and is the pain in the leg a blood clot or what?

the herniated disc thing seems to be a popular problem.
I have a cousin who just went thru a tortuous back operation and aftermath of 18 months.
I have a female cousin who has had 3 back operations and warns me of numbness in the leg and that she’s lost her driving privileges because of it.
I met a maintenance man here at the apartments who successfully had a back operation to relieve pressure on the nerve and his was successful and no pain afterward.
I knew of a boss years ago who was playing tennis and ended up having to have a back operation, he seemed ok afterward, never mentioned pain.
I also knew of a neighbor who continued to insist that I get the back operation because she said hers was successful and without pain afterwards.
I used to have a chiropractor but he said he will no longer see me because it’s an injury and nothing further he can do. When i was his patient he told me to exercise if I could, but "no" massage.
I heard the CT scan was better than the MRI with regard to back problems. Am I wrong?
P.S. I know what some of you are thinking and you don’t have a clue what your talking about. Someday if your really lucky, you’ll get e herniated disc or bulging disc and have it crush your nerve and make you want to die and wish for it everyday. I truely hope that the ones that ( think ) i’m a drug user get a herniated disc someday and can feel my pain.
The pain stems from an herniated disc at L4 and L5. The pain feels like the flu but for about 4 months. I have an appointment today and was wandering what I need to ask for.
