How to help my lower back pain?

I must have slept wrong one might about a week ago and now I can’t even bend or get up without being in extreme pain. The pain is in my very lower back parallel to where my hips are. I can walk and sit straight up just fine but when I go to sit or lay down or get back up it’s almost so painful I can’t move. Please help!

I have a really bad neck pain along with my shoulders that have been hurting me for a long time. And also my joints, not to mention the hips and my right thigh. I’m in big pain! What’s the best medicine to use? Hopefully not a temporary relief ’cause applying ice does that a little. Thanks.

back pains possibly sciatic nerve?

I am 14.5 weeks pregnant and wake aup a lot of times in the night with my hips hurting and the right side of my lower back in very bad pain. Occasionally during the day if i have to pee really bad or have been sitting or standing for a long time my back will hurt in that same spot. The only relief is to walk. Does anyone else have this and does anyone know of a good website that gives pictures of where your sciatic nerve is so I can see if that is where my pain is occuring?

Sciatic nerve pain maybe?

I have this pain like, up against the bone on one side of my hips. It’s like between my pelvis and thigh bone if that makes sense. It’s a little bit in my lower back which makes me think it could be sciatic nerve pain but it doesn’t go all down my leg. I first noticed it during my prenatal pilates. What could it be, if not sciatic nerve pain? I stopped exercising when I felt it, but stretching seemed to help.

Spinal Chord Injury?

My father was caught between two halves of a double wide trailer at his hips, he was hung there for about a minute and a half until somehow one of his collegues wiggled one half of the trailer and got him lose (Thats all you need to know about HOW he got injured.) So anyways, He has compression on his spinal cord (We were in the ER for 23 dreadful hours with no sleep) and his pelvis is fractured in two places on one side. My stepmother did research and found that immediate surgery should take place. The hostpital sent him home with crutches when we left. They started to do surgery, but they didnt because of his bad history of anestesia problems (He had trouble waking up when he had hemerroid because he was on cocaine, which he no longer is.) So anyways, can anyone give proffesional advice? It would really help! *Also, he hasnt had a bowel movement since the accident, and he has to strain to pee. When he stops straining, he stops peeing.*

Back pain?

I’m 24 years old and I was having some minor back pain off and on for the past few years, mostly mid back, sometimes lower back, depending on whatever activity it was that I was doing. I saw a chiropractor for an adjustment. She took x-rays and found that my hips and tailbone were slightly rotated outward, probably caused by a past injury and a lifetime of poor posture. She thinks this and a weak muscle balance in my back were the root of the back pain.

I’ve seen her twice a week for a couple of months now, where she uses a "micro adjuster" to push my tailbone back into place. I’ve also done daily exercises, stretching and used back support for driving. But my back is actually beginning to hurt worse now! The pain is almost daily. She thinks that since the lower back is straightening out to where it should be, its pulling the rest of the back back in line, something like that. And that the pain is normal and should recede as everything lines up and I get used to it. Sound right?
The pain usually starts the exact second I start to slouch forward while sitting. I try to sit upright, but its hard to being in front of a desk for a good portion of the day.

Has anyone had laser spinal surgery?

I have many problems in my lumbar area that involve discs, spurs, stenosis, arthritis etc. etc. etc. And as a result have severe pain in my hips as well as my whole back 24/7. Has anyone had similar problems resolved with laser surgery? Thank you for any & all input.

My wife slipped & fell, her hips fell at the toilet bowl, the doctor’s findings is seven contusions at her sacrococygal joint.

I injured my lower back lifting weights about two weeks ago. After two weeks it feels much better. There is a slight pain when bending at the hips or driving for too long but nothing serious, just a discomfort. I just find it odd that it hurts a little when I sneeze or when I tense up my abs. I thought it was just a muscle strain, since I can still walk normally and do other activities normally. So i decided to skip the doctor and just rest and take ibuprofen. I have no numbness or pain running down my butt or leg. But I have heard that pain when sneezing is a automatic diagnosis of a spine injury. Is this true?

How does having a spinal fusion affect childbirth?

I had a full spinal fusion when I was 14 and now I’m 27. My husband and I are thinking of having children soon and I wonder how having metal rods and a full fusion will affect childbirth. I have already been told I cannot have an epidural. Anyone else have a spinal fusion that has been through this? The fusion was for scoliosis and is from T4 to L4 (shoulders to hips).

Legs are giving out, especially from knees to hips, and it also causes loss of balance. There is pain, but it feels like it is in the muscle instead of the bone.

The injury traveled downward toward the buttock, hamstring, and calf. The same side as the original lower back injury. I helped a friend move shelves from her car into her home, and the next day, my back really hurt. I have had x-rays on my hips and knees since, and a small amount of fluid was found on on my left knee — hips were fine. Has anyone had an injury like this? Did you have any swollen muscles due to the injury? How long did it take you to fully heal? THANKS! :)

I have relatively new (about 2 months) pain in my lower back and my hips (more when I sit down than when I stand). I’ve been seeing a Chiropractor for a month & when I first saw her she said one of my legs was 1/4 inch shorter than the other & she "fixed" it. But she said I continue to not allow it to heal because I work out once a day, sometimes twice. How would if I know I have a back injury or if I’m just out of alignment?

Thanks!
