I had an accident exactly 2 weeks ago.
I was hit sideways by someone comming out of a driveway while I was driving down a small street. There was a parked semi that obstructed the view, but I think the person is still responsible for making sure the road was clear. Their insurance people came and looked at my car. the passenger side is smashed in and the side window is shattered.
I still haven’t gotten a resolution on this situation. Driving the car like this is very inconvenient without the window (I can’t leave anything inside…etc) I’m getting annoyed, should I get a lawyer? The car is not worth much(90 honda accord), maybe around 00, but it was a great car to for commuting to work. I don’t think it is fair for them to be causing me this inconvenience, and I don’t want to go ahead and do anything until I know what the verdict is. Should I talk to a lawyer? I don’t want to get shafted.
I looked up the car values on Edmunds and the trade-in value is a little over 0, the dealer value is somewhere around 1800. They also have a middle value at around 00. Which value do the insurance companies go by? Obviously I couldn’t fix it or buy another car anywhere close to its value for the trade-in amount.

I am sure that you are as eager to settle this matter as I am, so I appreciate your being able to get back with me regarding my claim. However, I believe that the offer you presented will hardly suffice the damages and inconvenience I have occurred due to your client’s negligence.
As a result of the accident on March 19, 2007 I continue to have muscles spasms resulting in neck and back pain. My primary physician Dr…..has recommended that I complete physical therapy as a follow up from the chiropractic care I received. I will begin therapy next week with my initial consultation, and from that I can provide you with the estimated time and cost. Also, because the medication I was on caused severe drowsiness while awake I have been prescribed additional medication for the early hours, and for when I’m at work.
To my understanding of the research I have done and the questions I have asked my physicians, back pain from injuries involving auto accidents rarely go away completely. I will be faxing over additional documents that will support my claim, and hopefully from there we will be able to conclude a satisfactory agreement that will cover cost, suffering, and the additional therapy that I will need.
Also, I can get the cost and time for the recommended therapy, but I cannot afford to pay for it out of pocket. will i have to complete therapy before they settle?
and is it reasonable to be compensated for any discomfort i believe may continue in the future

I was in a car wreck and the insurance company only offered me 1,000 dollars for my injuries and inconvenience. So I called an attorney, and he sent me to a chiropractor. Due to my injuries he wants me to attend physical therapy with him 3 days a week. I was just wondering if this is going to be covered by my claim and will I get money for my self to get my life back in order.

The accident was the other person’s fault and he had good insurance. My car has already been fixed and I have no injuries but I’m not sure how much to ask for when it comes to the inconvenience of the process (I was hurting for a few days after the accident & really stressed out).

i was rearended, the guy only had liability insurance. bodily INJURY WAS MORE THAN POLICY LIMITS. MY AUTO INSURANCE EXHAUSTED PIP LIMITS. I HAD TO HAVE AN ANTERIOR CERVICAL FUSION. DOES THIS ALL GET PAID FOR AS WELL AS REIMBURSEMENT FOR MISSED WORK, AND OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES AND VEHICLE DAMAGES AND PAIN/SUFFERING/INCONVENIENCE?

Should I hire a auto accident lawyer?

Yesterday I was involved in a 5 vehicle auto accident. I was waiting at the stop light to turn left and a truck and a motorcycle collided in the intersection. The motorcycist flew up in the air and landed funny. The truck kept going and I noticed how fast it was going towards me. It hit my car head on and pushed my car back about 1.5 car lengths in a 90 degree angle. The truck bulldozed into a nissian truck and GMC Yukon. Obviously from the photos, it proves that he was going at a fast pace because of the damage and for pushing a still object that far.

The motorcycist may have passed away and crime scene detectives arrived to photograph the area. The road was closed and traffic was detered. My car suffered extensive frontal damage and my radiator was cracked in half. I suffered no fractures, but I am very sore today. I went to urgent care and the doctor told me to see my PCP to have her review if I should see physical therapy.

My friend suggested a lawyer because the accident could be manslaughter and because one party hit 4 different cars. I believe my car is totaled and I will be sore for a while. To this extent, should I hire a lawyer because of the occurance and because the driver at fault’s insurance might try to screw me over because they have to pay for 4 parties cars, and maybe a wrongful death suit.

If so, would the lawyer make sure I get compensated well for my totaled car? I know this is going to be a huge inconvenience.
It wasn’t about making a profit, I am worried that I will lose out on a car or not get paid enough to purchase a new one. I just bought it 2 years ago.
