1. How many clients would a 1st of 2nd year Personal Injury ("P.I") Attorney expect to handle annually?
2. How does a P.I Attorney build a practice and obtain clients? (aside from the TV Commercial type adverts)
3. This question is for practicing P.I Attorney’s – i assume job satisfaction is very high give you are helping people fight high powered insurance companies and the like, is this true?

So heres the situation: I was in a car accident over two weeks ago. I was going to turn left when a car smashed into me, running a red light. They were totally at fault, I have witnesses. My car is drivable, but I havent been driving it to work since the bumper is off, the headlight is busted, and just basically smashed up. Anyways, I contacted their insurance company (American Access Casualty Company) which from what I’ve read is one of the worst insurance companies who will drag their feet and take forever getting back to you. They finally sent an adjuster out last week, said they’d contact me in 48 hours, and never did. I finally had to call them and leave harrasing voicemails, and they finally returned my call, saying my car is considered totalled, and the reason they havent pursued it further is because they’re waiting on a police report and they cant get ahold of the people who hit me. Im pretty sure this is just bs, as many people have told me insurance companies will say and do anything to prolong paying you. This is my first wreck, so Im not sure what to do here. I already called and made an appointment with a car accident lawyer. Im just wondering how long it should take with the help of a lawyer to get my money for my car, pain and suffering, and time without a car. Im starting school in less than 2 weeks, and have to have a way to get around. Thanks!
i had a big bruise under my chin from where the airbag deployed, but no medical bills, since i didnt go to a doctor. but i had to miss work the day after it happened because of headaches and sore bruise, so that should count for something, plus all this time ive been without a car, in my state (arkansas) they have to pay you for the time you didnt have your car. it was 100% not my fault, i did stop before going to turn, they literally came out of nowhere. i have 2 witnesses, so if anyone tries to say i am at fault at all, i have 2 peoples names and numbers who will say different.

Could some please tell which one is better for the plaintiff and why? I heard defendants and insurance companies prefer a jury trial.

My dad was rear ended and now has permanent injuries. Should he contact an attorney and sue. He has soft tissue damage in his back and neck. The insurance company has not offered any money for pain and suffering. They are just paying his medical bills.
The accident happened in KS.
He has been diagnosed with perm. injuries, but will continue treatment.
Since KS is a no fault state our insurance companies pays the bills. The doctor has sent him to go have a MRI done. Also if they do offer them what is the usually and customary amount?

I had an accident exactly 2 weeks ago.
I was hit sideways by someone comming out of a driveway while I was driving down a small street. There was a parked semi that obstructed the view, but I think the person is still responsible for making sure the road was clear. Their insurance people came and looked at my car. the passenger side is smashed in and the side window is shattered.
I still haven’t gotten a resolution on this situation. Driving the car like this is very inconvenient without the window (I can’t leave anything inside…etc) I’m getting annoyed, should I get a lawyer? The car is not worth much(90 honda accord), maybe around 00, but it was a great car to for commuting to work. I don’t think it is fair for them to be causing me this inconvenience, and I don’t want to go ahead and do anything until I know what the verdict is. Should I talk to a lawyer? I don’t want to get shafted.
I looked up the car values on Edmunds and the trade-in value is a little over 0, the dealer value is somewhere around 1800. They also have a middle value at around 00. Which value do the insurance companies go by? Obviously I couldn’t fix it or buy another car anywhere close to its value for the trade-in amount.

Same insurance company. He has full coverage. How does this work. They don’t even know. With limited collision I’m not covered. Car might be totaled. They say his insurance will pay everything. I don’t want to loose my friends, but I’m not paying for a new car! It’s paid for.
SAME insurance company we both have USAA. I only have limited like I said. But he has full coverage, he told me that his Insurance rep told him that the car is fully covered under him. I don’t think I believe that. He did hit another car but with little damage. Does the other car go under my policy even with limited.
No kidding. They don’t know yet. That’s why I’m trying to get advice from you guys. Insurance companies try to get money from someone. If they get money from themselves it doesn’ t make sense.

If someone had been drinking, was involved in a car crash, knocked
unconscious (no breathalizer or police administered blood test)
taken by ambulance and treated for injuries at the ER where blood tests were done including alcohol level. Can the police and insurance companies access this information and use it legally against the driver in their investigations.

Several weeks ago, I got into a car accident that was 100% the other party’s fault.
I went to see my doctor and my personal health insurance company (Blue Cross, provided by my employer) eventually paid for the doctor’s bill. Subsequently, I reached a settlement with the other party who paid me personally through the the insurance companies.
In my situation, I was (technically) compensated twice (money to my doctor and money to myself) for the same injury. I was told that in some states, such as Texas, it is not only legal, but specifically allowed to "double-dip" on personal injury protection if the other driver is at fault.
Is this "double-dip" situation legal in California?
Thank you very much for your thoughts and sharing your experience with me.

I was in a car wreck. Everyone seemed to be ok at the scene; no ambulance was called. Now, the other party is claiming injury. Now, I was hurting at the scene but to say I was injured well…How do insurance companies take to people who claim injury after the fact. I know it is possible to have injuries show up later but this guy was all over the place at the scene. Any input? thanks

If a trucker gets a dwi in his off time, he loses his license and job immediately and cant get another driving job for 3-7 years because the insurance companies won’t insure him. Does the same apply for police officers and if not, at what cost to the taxpayers does it take to keep them insured. IS THERE EQUAL JUSTICE!!!

My mother was in an auto accident where she was hit by a DRUNK DRIVER. The impact ripped the driver side door off her car. When the driver of the other vehicle realized what had happened, he bolted off on foot. The insurance was validated, and the insurance companies are involved, but she has run out of money, to visit the hospital, and to provide herself with an attorney. The first hospital visit CONFIRMED damage to her hip, leg, and neck. We have pics. of her car, and 2 police reports. This case is impossible to lose, and it would be much help to me and my family if we could get a Pro Bono lawyer to take the case.

If there is a two car accident and both accidents are insured by two different insurance companies, do the insurance companies solve the damages without a lawyer, or is a lawyer involved?

and lawsuits against drug companies?
and are they the real reason for skyrocketing health costs in the US or is it more likely due to the rise of almighty insurance companies?

Should insurance companies be forced to let me buy health insurance AFTER I become sick? If they should, should I expect to pay more than a healthy person or should my premiums be the same? Wouldn’t the health care reform bill allow me to wait until I get sick to purchase a policy, and prevent insurance companies from charging me any more than they charge a healthy person? Isn’t this just wrong?
