A Texas resident has an accident in Minnesota- a no fault insurance state, and the Minnesotan is the one who is at fault, How does insurance companies handle this when Texas law are different than Minnesotas. There were no bodily injuries.

Does our government determine the guidelines for malpractice insurance or is this strictly up to the Insurance companies and the states?

If a trucker gets a dwi in his off time, he loses his license and job immediately and cant get another driving job for 3-7 years because the insurance companies won’t insure him. Does the same apply for police officers and if not, at what cost to the taxpayers does it take to keep them insured. IS THERE EQUAL JUSTICE!!!

I was in an auto accident and hired a lawyer to represent me. The insurance companies are (mine & the other motorist) are investgating in order to determine who is at fault… Meanwhile, I’m asking my attorney to see if the other motorist has full coverage, liability, etc… so I can have an idea as to how things are going to play themselves out in regards to my medical bills, and other compensation, etc… The attorney claims that he can’t get the details of the other motorist’s insurance policy to answer my questions. This doesn’t sound right to me. Shouldn’t he, not only be able to obtain their policy, but be working diligently, early on in the process, to obtain this information so he can guage the "possible" compensation that, not only myself, but the docter & himself (the lawyer) may receive? …my injury is a life altering injury and I need to know what options I have in regards to my medical & all other compensation I may be entitled to. I am not the type to blindly allow my lawyer to do as he chooses, while I remain in the dark as to the facts regarding my situation. Please enlighten me…

I am wondering how long it usually takes for insurance companies to settle auto bodily injury claims. I rear-ended a driver at a stoplight at about 5MPH back in July. He complained of no injuries at the time, officer noted no injuries. Anyways, he later made a claim against my policy, and my adjuster said it is still unresolved (been about 3 months now).
Is it normal for it to take this much time, or am I about to be taken to court? My insurance apparently covers to 0,000.

I was in a 4-car pile up a month ago. I was the 2nd car from the front and received 2 rear impacts and either 1 or 2 front impacts. Because my car and the car infront of me were stopped it was declared that we were not at fault. So now the 2 insurance companies of the vehicles behind me are fighting over who is to blame. Meanwhile I received a possible fracture to my wrist, 2 herniated disks in my lower back and neck injuries. I’m not really into getting a lawyer, but now I feel like it’s getting complicated since they haven’t even decided who’s to blame. Then I have others saying that I shouldn’t have to be paying any part of my medical…. but what do i do when I can’t even settle until I’m done with treatment? Any advice on this would be helpful. If any of you have settled with or without a lawyer I would love any advice you can give. I do have PIP insurance, but it has a cap. Thank you.

I recently received a DWI conviction in S. Jersey (my first offense) and was wondering how much local insurance companies will raise my rate? If anyone has experienced this I’d really appreciate knowing how much their rates rose. Also, is there any certain companies that give better rates to those who have DWI convictions? I appreciate any help.
Thanks!

Lawyers don’t want to touch small personal injury cases….and insurance companies take advantage of that. Can a person hire a paralegal to help them with there small personal injury claim? How would one go about doing such?

I work for a company that is requiring that I have a policy of personal injury protection. I have called various insurance companies and they do not offer any policies without insuring a vehicle. Any help?

I was recently involved in a car accident where the other person was at fault as determined by both insurance companies. They paid to fix my car already, but now I want to file a personal injury claim with the other persons insurance company without hiring a lawyer. Where can I learn the proper procedures and forms? Does any body have any sample demand letters I can use? Please help… Thank you.

I’ve been into a car accident recently and insurance companies claim in was my fault. I’m trying to find a lawyer to fight it. I am researching now, but all I can find are personal injury lawyers. There was no injuries in my case, but a lot of damage to cars (over 100.000 of damage).
Does anybody know how to find a lawyer that will work with me on this one?
I’m in Miami, Florida.
There is a police report, but no citations were issued because an officer could not determine who was at fault.
