How much will my injury claim be?

Im still waiting for a response from my injury case claim from my lawyer. She said the insurance company of the other person isnt ready to negotiate yet. He has all my records and bills. My injury was a little over 5000 dollars. This is the 7th month in progress. Im healed which took 3 months. What is taking soooooo long:((((( and my injury was a deep fascia road rash. And now I have a ugly, very much prominent scar. And permanent nerve damage in that area, no feeling at all.

Collision or car accident lawyer?

My friend was in a car accident and the insurance company is screwing her ever and she doesn’t know much of what to All i can find is personal injury lawyers and no one was injured

How does personal injury works if the other insurance had admitted liability. A person has private insurance. Do the individual seek treatment thru their private insurance? Is it best to start with your primary physician and let him recommend treatment that is best for your injuries? Or is this even possible? Once treatment is over how do an individual reimburse their private insurance? Is this something the liable insurance company do or is this something the injured individual handle ? Is it possible that the individual settle may or may not cover the medical if so then will the private insurance come after the injured person for reimbursement. Any info, scenerio or number value to help me understand would be greatly appreciated

i was involved in an accident, he pulled out of a parking lot (he was turning left) i ended up t- boning him and there was honestly nothing i could do to avoid it, the police officier listed him at fault and he was given a ticket for failure to yield, i recieved nothing..now his insurance company is trying to say i am 30% percent at fault, i have two witnesses that agree with my story. his insurance company is also trying to get me to agree to have my insurance company pay for everything, i know it is their job to bullying people into settleing, would it be in my best interest to hire a lawyer

I recently got into an accident (3 days ago). I got into an accident a few years ago (almost exactly 4 years ago).. got a lawyer, and it finally settled last year, but I still don’t really know how everything works and don’t even remember the steps I took last time. I think I waited to get my lawyer after the other company tried to settle with me (for thousands less than I ended up with.. they were only willing to give me 0 total for myself and my daughter, and I settled for ,000 minus lawyer fees & medical bills). Anyway, this is all really inconvenient because I’m moving across the country in 2 weeks. Because of the accident I was in 4 years ago, I still and probably always will have pain in my upper back & shoulder area. I started getting massages again about a month ago because I stopped getting adjustments due to the fact that I can’t afford them now that I pay for them out of pocket. I had med. insurance with my employer, but until my 0 deductible was hit, I had to pay per adjustment until it was hit, and times are rough so I just wasn’t able to afford it. Now I’m unemployed, but have standard Tri-Care under my husband, but Tri-Care doesn’t cover chiropractic care, so either way, I would be paying out of my pocket. I’m already having pain (since the day after the accident) in my back and a little more. I’m going for a follow-up this week, as well as my daughter’s (she was involved, but luckily NOT hurt!). Since we’re moving out of state, will the other insurance company cover physical therapy there? And how will they be able to contact me about settling since I’m across the country? Should I get a lawyer now, before they even give me an offer, because I know if I need to get one I’ll have to fly back out here to do it because I can only get a lawyer in this state since the accident occurred here. Just wondering when/if I should do it.
I stopped getting my adjustments last Dec. but even then, years after the accident, my chiropractor advised me to come in at least once every two weeks.

The accident was not my fault.. and we have not settled anything with the insurance company yet.. I was wondering if this happened to anyone else and if so what kind of compensation were you offered or did you get? I was not able to be treated for my injuries because of the fact that i am pregnant, and they could not do any kind of x-rays or anything.. any info is greatly welcomed

DWI driver with suspended license crashed into our vehicle. No serious injuries, but our vehicle is being totaled by our insurance company. What repercussions do we have?

If your vehicle was involved in a collision that only involved your vehicle and private property (a gate and fence in this case) but the officer ticketed you for inattention, does the collision report still get sent to your insurance company? If so, can one somehow get the collision report withheld? This is in Renton,WA
The driver in question is only 18 years old, should he just call his insurance company to report it?

We bought a car from Toyota in 2009 and have had insurance on it for the entire time since we bought it. Got into an accident and turns out, we don’t have collision insurance. We had NO idea that we weren’t entirely covered and our insurance company says we have to pay the repairs out of pocket.

Many friends have said that Toyota financial should have us covered since we still owe money on the car.
What can or should I do?

When I was in a car accident just over a year ago, I suffered a lot injuries. I was hit by someone who was 100% at fault and carries insurance. I was also on the job at the time of the accident, so workers comp has been paying my doctor & med bills. I missed a lot of work and took unpaid time off for doctor visits, physical therapy, etc… I am feeling better, but still not 100%. I am wondering if I should get a lawyer to handle this. I don’t know if I need to get a settlement from the insurance company of the person who hit me so I can pay back workers comp (who has been paying my bills) and pay back my insurance (who initially paid several of my bills). I’m just not sure how all of this works. I was hit in Wisconsin if that makes a difference. Thank you for your help!

My wife sustains minor neck injuries and anxiety attack after the accident. The other party admitted the fault but its insurance company is not willing to provide medical care expense up front.

Hi All,
I injured myself 2 weeks ago while shopping at a large toys store. I walked into a flat cart and bruised my right leg middle shin bone. It still hurts today. The store called me yesterday and provided a phone number of an insurance company that I can call for compensation. Should I hire a lawyer to help me get a descent compensation or call the insurance comapny myself first to hear what they have to say? Also, what is the standard contract with a lawyer in such cases: pay the lawyer a percent of the compensation (25%?, 50?) if I get any compensation and nothing if I don’t or pay a fixed amount in advance? THANKS

There were no long term injuries. There were some whiplash injuries but all medical bills have been paid by the insurance company. The dui driver went immediately into rehab and actually has been helping other people with alcohol problems get better. He has not had a drink since the accident as he is taking this whole situation very, very seriously. The dui driver doesn’t have much money, basically enough to support his family. He is really sorry for the accident and wishes he could turn back time. We live in the Southeast and are not sure what to do. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Car accident? Me and my 4 year old daughter was rear ended in a car accident. The person who hit my was going at least 45mph. I went to my personal doctor about a week later because I felt some tenderness in my neck and back. My daughter did not have any injuries that I can tell. But the question is I did not hire a lawyer and the insurance company want me to sign a release of medical records, can I give them a limited release of only the files involving the car accident? Also should I hire a lawyer? To add the person that hit me has the same insurance company as me.

I recived a 3 inch long bone deep laceration to my left wrist. My radial nerve, brachialas muscle, brachialas tendon, and anything from skin to the bone was lacerated. I had surgery for that injury on July 17, 2006 I had the injury on July 12, 2006. Here i am a little over a year after this happen confused whether to trust my lawyer over how I will paid. I would think that I would get money for the traumatic experience along with loss wages. My lawyer is only saying that I will be paid for loss wages from the time that I was hurt and out of work. I think that he is trying to screw me. Can someone please give me some insight on my situation that I need to know about dealing with this type of claim. I have a hearing for October, 25 2007 and he called me saying that the insurance compay is open to settlte but the insurance company did not say a price yet. Does there sound like something is not right?Serious replies only!
