I am an insurance agent and recently paid out an insurance claim. The person has cashed the check, however, the release form he signed did not make it back to my office. I am afraid that he will come back and try to re-negotiate because he was never happy with the settlement offer to begin with. My dept head has yet to speak to me, but I am afraid. Can I lose my job over this? Also, what if the person comes back and asks for more? This is my first major slipup in my career and I am stressed out. Any ideas?

Example scenario I am preparing for school: Let’s say one hires somebody to get work done on their car off of Craig’s List and they come to the customer’s location with their tools to do the work and they get hurt (dislocated shoulder). The mobile mechanic tells the customer that the car needs to be taken to the shop to be worked on the lift with proper tools but the customer refuses and the mechanic stays and completes the job resulting in personal injury. Can the mobile mechanic sue the car owner for medical damages?

ok, to make a LONG story short… I was in an auto accident where i was stopped at a red light and a woman in an SUV thought the light was green and slammed into me at full speed. my car was totalled and i’ve been dealing with major neck pain. i’ve got subluxation in my neck where basically all of the vertebrea have twisted to the right side the top of my spine is crooked and the curve of my neck has been straightened. and i have a badly pinched nerve in my collarbone. it’s been 6 weeks and i’m still in pain. i am not able to do my job anymore. the chiropractor says that he sees improvement but it’s going to be a slow recovery and if he can’t fix me he will send me to a specialist. i’m either going to have to quit or i’m going to get fired because i can’t do the duties that are require for my job and i keep missing work because of it. my question is, does anybody know of some way that i can get money to pay my bills while i’m out of work? i am going to get an injury settlement but i won’t see any of that money until i’m released from anything medical. i really need time off to heal because the problem is i’ve been working and haven’t been able to heal but i don’t know if there’s some way to get money from the insurance for that? by the way, the insurance company of the woman who hit me is paying for everything. i was also thinking of leave of absence but i know i won’t get paid that way either. i’m getting very worried. any advice?

I don’t want to become an orthopedic surgeon because it takes to long. Can I just be a sports medicine doctor and what kind of job could I get with that? Could I work for an nba team?

After 2 months my lawyer dropped my case because the buisness that hit me and ran didnt have any insurance. Now i live in Arlington it’s right between Dallas and Fort Worth. i was involved in an accident, he pulled out of a parking lot (he was turning left) i ended up t- boning him and there was honestly nothing i could do to avoid it, the police officier listed him at fault and he was given a ticket for failure to yield, i recieved nothing..now his insurance company is trying to say i am 30% percent at fault, i have two witnesses that agree with my story. his insurance company is also trying to get me to agree to have my insurance company pay for everything, i know it is their job to bullying people into settleing, would it be in my best interest to hire a lawyer
