I recently got into an accident (3 days ago). I got into an accident a few years ago (almost exactly 4 years ago).. got a lawyer, and it finally settled last year, but I still don’t really know how everything works and don’t even remember the steps I took last time. I think I waited to get my lawyer after the other company tried to settle with me (for thousands less than I ended up with.. they were only willing to give me 0 total for myself and my daughter, and I settled for ,000 minus lawyer fees & medical bills). Anyway, this is all really inconvenient because I’m moving across the country in 2 weeks. Because of the accident I was in 4 years ago, I still and probably always will have pain in my upper back & shoulder area. I started getting massages again about a month ago because I stopped getting adjustments due to the fact that I can’t afford them now that I pay for them out of pocket. I had med. insurance with my employer, but until my 0 deductible was hit, I had to pay per adjustment until it was hit, and times are rough so I just wasn’t able to afford it. Now I’m unemployed, but have standard Tri-Care under my husband, but Tri-Care doesn’t cover chiropractic care, so either way, I would be paying out of my pocket. I’m already having pain (since the day after the accident) in my back and a little more. I’m going for a follow-up this week, as well as my daughter’s (she was involved, but luckily NOT hurt!). Since we’re moving out of state, will the other insurance company cover physical therapy there? And how will they be able to contact me about settling since I’m across the country? Should I get a lawyer now, before they even give me an offer, because I know if I need to get one I’ll have to fly back out here to do it because I can only get a lawyer in this state since the accident occurred here. Just wondering when/if I should do it.
I stopped getting my adjustments last Dec. but even then, years after the accident, my chiropractor advised me to come in at least once every two weeks.

It was really 7 but the last time they caught me sleeping in my vehicle on the side of the road. I just wanted to sleep it off before I drove any further.

Hello I received my first and only dwi on 7/2008 and in 9/2008 the court took my license from me at witch point I went to DMV and was given a conditional license. That is all that has happened in a year and a half.
I have paid my lawyer over 00.00 and the last time I was supposed to have court was 11/2009 and my lawyer called me as I got to the courthouse saying court was canceled because of the DA (not the first time i was told this). At that point I was already in the courthouse speaking with the clerk who told me it was my lawyers secretary who dated the paperwork wrong and there was never any court that day.
00.00 lawyer not being honest and 1 1/2 years seems like a long time to me any suggestions or help PLEASE!!!!!!! Thank you…..

Ok i was hit by a guy who failed to yield and when he hit me my minivan flipped over and know my back is all screwed up and ive had some minor procedures because of the accident. My lawyer and i have been in agreement to take the case to trial and then i recieved a letter stating that the insurance company has made a final offer and in the letter from my lawyer it said that they reccommend i take the offer and settle the case? Why would my lawyer all of a sudden change his mind and say to take this offer and settle? The last time i spoke to him we were in agreement, i dont get it? What do think is going on?

It gets to the point where I can hardly walk and it’s extremely frustrating…
Last time I was at the doctor, they told me heat/ice to temporarily relieve pain (didn’t help at all), or to stretch it. Well, it hurts way too bad to stretch it.
I’m going to do some research on the yoga moves that were mentioned, and hopefully they will be less painful movements.
I go to the doctor again on Thursday, and I’m going to bring up again.
Any other advice besides stretching or heating/icing?
Thanks!

climax. The only time I was able to climax was on January 10th and the next time we had sex was on the 23 of January. At that time I was unable to climax and release my sperm at that time. But now she is 5 wks pregnant and I believe there to be someone else involved. But the 5 wks would put it close to the last time we had sex and at the last sexual act. No sperm was released, so in other’s opinions could or is this my child??

I KNOW this is NOT forum for expert medical advice, but I really would like to know if anyone would know if the fact that I am still experiencing tingling in my leg(s) and a lot of pressure in that area like I had prior to does it mean that it did not work? Last time I had this done the surgeon had to go back in and place rods and screws to fix the problem. Any educated answers would be great and a great relief.

Everyone knows that back problems are very common.
We also know that when we weight lift, our muscles get progressively stronger to make up for the its inability to lift the weight last time.
But why don’t our back muscles get ‘progressively stronger’?
When we lift with our back rather than with our legs, and we get injured. isn’t it odd?
Is it that our lower back muscles are so fragile? or is it when we get ‘lower back injury’ due to work/lifting, its not actually the muscle that’s injured but rather a tendon or something?

I have seen a doctor but due my active activity last time, the fracture was not completely cured and might not cure. So sad and demoralizing.

My dachshund Dexter has a slipped disc. He was on bed rest for a couple weeks and the past week or so I’ve been doing exercises with him in the bathtub. Anyway he is starting to walk. Before he would just drag his legs, now he puts his back legs up as normal but after a few steps they wobble like he is unsteady and usually he plops down, then gets back up. Is this normal? I’ve had to carry him to the grass a ways from my apartment because he’s still dragging a bit and on the concrete it hurts his skin.
Will he always be a bit wobbly like this? I hope it will get better..it will be probably not be completely gone but enough that he’s able to walk more easily..are there any other exercises I should do with him besides the bathtub to get his back legs strong again (ive noticed he has put on a bit of muscle). Should I encourage him to move as much as possible inside (on the carpet)? Thank you
yes Ive seen the vet twice (once right after he slipped the disc and the last time about 2 weeks ago)

Ok so it has been almost 1.5 years since his last DWI…two nights ago he got another one. My wife, always the hero and his older sister, is going to bail him out. I say let him rot. She drug him all over last time he did this–court dates, bank, work, etc. He, ironically, is still on probation from the last offense…
My wife says she has to spring him so he can get back to work and keep making money so that he will be able to hire a lawyer and pay all the fees etc. Makes sense….
I think, as previously stated, he should be left in jail. Why? Well he is still on probation so as soon as he is bailed out his probation officer will probably throw him right back in for violating…My 2nd point is that he is not going to learn (and grow up) if everyone always picks up the pieces for him (he is 30). Any advice would be appreciated. If you do not agree with me that is cool…if you don’t agree with my wife that is cool….just a 3rd party view would be nice. Thanks!
