He is still mobile but walks like he is a senior citizen. This came on suddenly so I think he may have hurt himself while jumping up on furniture or playing. He has not lost his appetite and is able to use the litter box for both urinating and defecating. The vet checked his vitals and he is fine with no broken bones.

My ferret Cierra suffered from a slipped disc in her lower back a week ago, we have her on steroids now, and seeing a little bit of improvement (she’s trying to walk on them now instead of just dragging them). But what I’m wondering is if anyone else has had this problem and how long it took to or even if it ever healed and they got the use of their legs back fully? She’s full of life and ferret curiosity, but I’m having to wash poo and pee off her daily since she can’t get to a litter box, and she can’t roam and play with the other ferrets, and she’s confined to a little cat kennel so she doesn’t injure herself more. I just want her to have a normal life again =(
Rupturing of the tissue that separates the vertebral bones of the spinal column
that’s the definition I got anyway

She never uses a litter box anymore even when I confine her and now her bottom is awful. What should I do? I have 6 other buns and they do not do that. I have had them since their birth, no recent injuries or medical problems.
