College is turning into a disaster and because of a lower back injury the military will not allow me to enlist. What should I do next? I am 22 years old and now have no idea what to do with my life.

I’ve heard of running clinics, but I don’t have the $ to go to one.

I have walked a lot before, but stopped for a year due to long illness.

Had lower back injury/knee injury I recovered from years ago. Am concerned light jogging will make it come back.

I would like to know if you have an outline of walking/jogging I can follow.

Will really appreciate any help.

Thank you so much!

I hurt my back on the leg press machine one week ago and it still hurts too bad to bend over and pick something up off the floor, but I’d say it’s improving. The doctor prescribed codeine for the first 3 days, but I’m past that. The pain isn’t excruciating and I sleep fine. I’m not sure how it happened. I am going crazy not being able to do any exercise. Is there anything I can do with a lower back injury? Also, do you have any thoughts on treatment? The doctor just gave me medicine. (It’s Australia, so that’s sort of how social healthcare works)

I have Flat feet, plantar faciatise achilles tendrionitis hip problems and most recently a lower back injury..where can i find a REALLY good shoe?

AB exercises for a bad back?

I’m trying to work on my abs but due to a lower back injury it is hard to do sit ups or anything that causes strain to my lower back. What other exercise can I do to get a complete work out on all my abdominal muscles? My goal is to have a nice formed six pack … something I have not been able to do due to my lower back pain.

Back problems and overweight help?

I have a lower back injury for 15 years. My ability to exercise is seriously limited. I am 5’9" and weigh 200. I have gone 3 days without eating sometimes and seemed to thin a little but then soon as I eat the weight is back on. How much should I way and how can I keep it off

i have to loose weight but have lower back injury.
there must be exercises for people like me."is there"

The injury traveled downward toward the buttock, hamstring, and calf. The same side as the original lower back injury. I helped a friend move shelves from her car into her home, and the next day, my back really hurt. I have had x-rays on my hips and knees since, and a small amount of fluid was found on on my left knee — hips were fine. Has anyone had an injury like this? Did you have any swollen muscles due to the injury? How long did it take you to fully heal? THANKS! :)

what are the weight-free workouts for upper back?

I turned 44 today. I stand at 5’10" and weigh 245 pounds. I have thinning hair and as a result, I have low self-esteem. I know, without a doubt, that if I can somehow loose about 60 pounds, I would feel better about myself. However, the main reason for wanting to loose the pounds is a healthy life. I am searching for a simple diet. I cannot exercise because of a lower back injury. What can I do? What can I eat without starving?

Is kayaking hard on the lower back?

I have never had the opportunity to actually sit in a kayak but it looks like it might be stressful on the lower back because you have to sit up straight with no back support. I only ask because I had a lower back injury at one time and I am worried that kayaking might irritate the old injury. I really would like to give it a try though because it looks like tons of fun. Anyone with experience want to offer their opinion?

I was a junior Army officer that separated in 98 with a 20% disability relevant to a lower back injury. I underwent surgery on the outside and I now feel that I may be ready to go back in. What are my chances? I served for 12 years on active duty. I don’t know what these codes are trying to tell me.

I suffered a lower back injury a little over a year ago, and now I am 25 weeks pregnant and it is really aggrevated. I had to miss 2 1/2 days of work this week because of it.

I have been communicating with my OB and of course they did all the tests to make sure it wasn’t preterm labor, and it isn’t (thank God). I’m starting physical therapy AGAIN tomorrow, and I exercise regularly by swimming.

Has anyone else had this problem before, I need advice and sympathy mostly because I am also a little depressed thinking about how I am going to get through the next few months at work until my leave when all I want to do is lay down with an ice pack.

My main question is how did you deal with back pain and still tough it out at work without going insane???

How can I secretly recover from my back injury?

Hey guys,

I’m a 15 year old freshman in high school. I recently recovered from a moderate lower back injury from power cleaning 160 lbs several times. I hurt my back again today, and my pain has returned. In my previous injury I went to a chiropractor for an entire month before fully healing. Spring Football starts in 2 weeks and I’m going to be starting on varsity. I would like to know if there was anything i could do to alleviate my pack pain. It hurts when I shift positions in my chair during class, and my dad would kill me if i told him I hurt my back again.

What can I do to secretly recover from my back injury?

Some Specs of myself:

- 5’9" tall
- 240 lbs
- got injured again after lifting 500 lbs on squat
my dad has mixed feelings about football, since i love playing football he supports me, but he’s the type of person that will make me quit if I am getting hurt or my grades go down.
