My mom had spinal surgery about 2-3 years ago. Even though her back is feeling much better than it did than before she had the surgery she still has a little trouble from it. She had to have 4 discs fused. I hear that pilates is great for the core, which is obviously where she has her troubles with. Any suggestions? Would she benefit from it as physical therapy?
Also, she can not twist much. So I know yoga is definitely out. I thought pilates might work better. I’m not quite sure how much twisting is involved with pilates.
She already spoke with her doctor about yoga. He said that was definitely out.

My mom has sciatic nerve in her butt area and it shoots down her leg. It’s almost where her toes are numb (sometimes). She can’t sleep at night because of stabbing pains, eta… My moms question is, if a person has a short leg, can that cause sciatic nerve problems? What should she do?

I dislocated my shoulder a couple of weeks ago, and my arm’s been in an immobilizer since then. Because my arm has been at my side basically 24-7, my forearm’s numb. My mom, who’s a nurse, thinks I might have pinched a nerve. What can I do about this?

im having pain in my like and lower back and my mom said its my sciatic nerve, should i go see a doctor or will the pain eventually go away?

My mom just had spinal surgery on her neck, including disk c7. Since she has woke up her neck is extended back, like she cant relax it. It is bowed backwards and her chin is pointed more towards the ceiling. Its very painful. They did an x ray and cat scan and can’t see any problems. The surgeon said this is not common and he is going to try to find out what was wrong this morning, but he didn’t come back yet. I can’t find anything online about post operative hyper extension. She has been like this for four days. Please help!
Not sure about muscle spasm, they have given her muscle relaxers and they didn’t help

so my mom had a disc surgery on her spinal cord last summer and she has been taking a lot of pain medications since she also has fibromialgia..

she has had problems going to bathroom because of her medications and she had talked to her doctors about it and i don’t really know what’s going on with her right now..

but since last night she hasn’t been feeling good cause she hasn’t gone to the bathroom for days. she literally can’t get up,she has been just laying down on the bed all day.
is this just one of those bad days or do you think that she needs to go to the ER or something???

My mom committed suicide a little over 2 years ago . I found her and it has taken me awhile to come to a place where I can deal with any legal issues that may have lead to this action. I know the doctor has some responsibility . Does the statue of re prose apply to situations where the action caused a temporary mental illness like PTSD or complicated grief .

My mom says I have a pinched nerve around my right shoulder blade, it hurts like crazy to move my right arm or turn my head or move a lot at all. Everything my mom has tried hasn’t helped… It hurts! Any ideas?

I am a college student and I live hours away from my hometown. My mom just recently told me that she had been put on medical leave. My mom NEVER misses work. Her neck is in severe pain and she cannot feel her hands.

She was told that she needs to have spinal surgery with the use of cadaver bones, bone marrow and steel rods.

My mom is almost fifty, she smokes and she really isn’t the healthiest person. I really worry about her. How serious is this surgery? She is trying to make it sound like it is so common for people to have spinal surgery who can’t feel their hands for weeks.

This was a long time in the making, but she said it all happened when she was in the garden.

He did not have a power of attorney and now we are trying to file taxes, deal with his personal property, real estate etc.. and we need to have a power of attorney… I am going to try to file this forms myself but is very unsure which power of attorney I need to file to give my mom all the rights to act on his behalf … Could someone please advise me … I am in the state of Mississippi.

i got my finger stuck on the school bathroom door and i was bleeding allot a tip of my finger fell of with a piece of my nail and meanwhile i was freakin out my friends took me to the nurse and the nurse was all calm like if nothing happend and she was hurring up me and my friends to leave because she had a meating and meanwhile i needed an ambulance because it was an emergancy i was waiting for my mom to pik me up should i sew them .? or just leave it like that and my finger disformed
