I was in a minor auto accident. It was the other drivers fault. I was injured. I went to the ER the day of the accident and they said it was cervical strain from where the seatbelt lock so tight onto my neck and shoulder. 5 days later it was really bad, went back to the ER, was told that I was having a muscle spasm that would not let go. Now it is 2 weeks since the accident and my neckand shoulder are still sore. The at fault drivers insurance company called and wants to settle the claim. They want to pay my hospital bills and give me 0 for pain and suffering. I didn’t know they did that. I thought you had to get a lawyer if you wanted money for pain and suffering. I have never even considered getting a lawyer because it was just a minor accident. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Should I take the 0 or do people normally get more then that. I have never been in an accident before. If it matters the Hospital bills are almost 00 and meds were

My dad was rear ended and now has permanent injuries. Should he contact an attorney and sue. He has soft tissue damage in his back and neck. The insurance company has not offered any money for pain and suffering. They are just paying his medical bills.
The accident happened in KS.
He has been diagnosed with perm. injuries, but will continue treatment.
Since KS is a no fault state our insurance companies pays the bills. The doctor has sent him to go have a MRI done. Also if they do offer them what is the usually and customary amount?

I saw a commercial offering legal help for people whose children were born with cerebral palsy, erb’s palsy, and pphn (if you could give a brief description of the symptoms of each that would be nice):

That aside, that’s like suing McDonald’s for making you fat. There’s no concrete evidence of any wrongdoing on one person’s part. It’s untraceable. What do you guys think? I think it’s ridiculous to sue over something like this and a lawyers’ scam to get money for both themselves and their clients.

I’m a Tennis Player & currently suffering from a Medial Cartilage Meniscus Injury. I’m thinking of undergoing surgery for my sports injury. However, I don’t have the money for such a procedure. My parents are unemployed at the moment, don’t have the sufficient amount of funds for the procedure, and I can’t go to work due to my injury. Neither can insurance pay for it as well. Is there anyway I can be given surgery for a sports injury at a reduced price?

If you are a doctor or surgeon who works for a hospital will the hospital pay for your malpractice insurance or must you pay the insurance from your own money?
Thanks

I ask a question about lawyers and nobody answers. Do they have that much power? My TV sound gets off, or I change channels, or I quick forward tape when a lawyer commercial comes up. Why do I hate them?
Because a lawyer got money from me on a motorcycle accident that was NOT my fault, that’s why. (Maybe I should sue that lawyer. But he would counter sue me and probably win.

i had filed with a lawyer, but that was years ago and apparently the person that hit me was uninsured. Can this person get away with it totally? He doesn’t seem to have any assets or money and does not seem to be getting anything any time soon. Since i already filed my claim with a lawyer, can I wait forever until he gets something? Or can he wait it out? I live In Connecticut. What if he leaves to live in another state?

We bought a car from Toyota in 2009 and have had insurance on it for the entire time since we bought it. Got into an accident and turns out, we don’t have collision insurance. We had NO idea that we weren’t entirely covered and our insurance company says we have to pay the repairs out of pocket.
Many friends have said that Toyota financial should have us covered since we still owe money on the car.
What can or should I do?

I want to get my mother and mother in law massages for valentines day and birthday gifts and I’m not sure if they can have them because they both have had spinal fusions in the past. I just don’t want to pay the money and then have them say it’s nice but I can’t get a massage. So my question is can they have swedish massages after spinal fusions?

This is a follow up question … IN a nutshell my boarding house manager was drunk one night he choked me in front of a witness and then fled… he was arrested later that night and charged with domestic violence.. i filed a restraining order and today in court in was made permanent for one year.. the judge also stated i have a potential lawsuit i can file against the home owner who employed the house manager.. Question i have for you all is anyone familiar with the law.. can you tell me if you were in my shoes what grounds would that lawsuit be on… People on here have said it would be easier to move.. that may be true but at this time i don’t have the money and second and most importantly.. is everyone saying .. just let it go.. like it never happened.. he has broken into other tenants rooms including a pregnant woman and also another roommate.. every time there’s an incident the home owners are contacted .. and all they have to say is.. well maybe with all the drama there everyone needs to move and we can just sell the home… its a care free attitude.. and yet they continue to employ him… the idea of a lawsuit has come to me as a means of showing them you cant treat people like that… about the choking incident i was not hospitalized or anything like that … and i live in Tacoma,Washington…

I recived a 3 inch long bone deep laceration to my left wrist. My radial nerve, brachialas muscle, brachialas tendon, and anything from skin to the bone was lacerated. I had surgery for that injury on July 17, 2006 I had the injury on July 12, 2006. Here i am a little over a year after this happen confused whether to trust my lawyer over how I will paid. I would think that I would get money for the traumatic experience along with loss wages. My lawyer is only saying that I will be paid for loss wages from the time that I was hurt and out of work. I think that he is trying to screw me. Can someone please give me some insight on my situation that I need to know about dealing with this type of claim. I have a hearing for October, 25 2007 and he called me saying that the insurance compay is open to settlte but the insurance company did not say a price yet. Does there sound like something is not right?Serious replies only!

Yesterday at a court appearance for child support my husbands girlfriend (angry about the amount of child support) smarted oFf to me and said "I would never see any of his accident money either" This originally confused me I found out today he was in a auto injury in January of this yr I filed for divorce in February none of this was even mentioned before. I knew he kept buying new vehicles but he would put them in her name, I had no idea of an accident. My question is since we are legally married, but separated due to Domestic violence (this was a no contact order the judge made, for an assault on me) am I still entitled to any of his claim? I would really like to know any information or links that I can review and see about pursuing with an attorney, if its really an option. I did read that any money for lost wages and future wages was subject to child support is this true?

My brother’s girlfriend just turned nineteen and had to be taken to the hospital for a ruptured cyst. When taken to the doctor the day after, they said they had to perform more tests which would cost 900 dollars. They wanted the money up front. She has no health insurance and doesn’t qualify for medicaid. What can she do? We live in Georgia.
