I was hit in the three months ago by a sixteen year-old who ran a red arrow turn light. She was cited and I was not. I did not think I was hurt at the accident, but realized that I had shoulder and neck pain later that night. I went to the urgent care through my doctor who gave me vicodin and a muscle relaxer, and then I went back in two weeks due to continuing pain. I was sent to a physical therapist, which I went to twice a week for the past few months, and once a week the last two weeks. My PT has given me stretching exercises to do at home but has said I am done with the treatment.
Her insurance has accepted liability and already paid for my car to be fixed (just under ,000) and for a rental car. They knew I was seeking treatment for the accident, and I am getting ready to send a letter asking them to request all my medical bills and records so they can offer a settlement. How much do you think my claim is worth?

I have had back pain for two weeks and I finally went to the doctor today. My doctor thinks that I have a slipped disc in my lower back. He prescribed an anti-inflammatory and a muscle relaxer. He said if I didn’t feel better by Friday that he wanted me to have x-rays done. I’m wondering exactly what a slipped disc is and if it requires surgery. My back has been so painful. It hurts to sit and stand and I have no range of motion. Are there non-surgical things that can heal my back? The pain is excruciating. I’ve tried ice and heat but arthritis rub and heat massage. I’ve taken Aleve with not relieve at all and it is impossible to sleep. I would love to hear from anyone who has had the same experience. Thanks in advance. Riley

I have to take an international flight in a few days and my back and left leg pain will make it miserable. My doctor prescribed a muscle relaxer and some exercises a couple of days ago. Ibuprophen helps more than the muscle relaxer and the exercises may be helping a little and slowly. I am going for an important meeting that I can’t miss.
