I recently went to the E.R. for severe neck pain. They took several x-rays while I was there, in those they found that I have an extra vertebrae, and one vert, that could have split into two. What its doing is pushing the vert. in my neck out to the right, thus the pain. I really haven’t found much out and haven’t seen my regular dr. cz he moved outta state.If any one who reads this has similar information please give me all the details. My mom and brother both have the same pain, the same bulge in our necks which makes me think that it is genentic.

Lately I have been getting around 5 hrs. of sleep for the pass months and my neck would get this extreme feeling of pain and shock. It feels like a rope being pulled as hard as it can. Really hard to explain. I’m used to getting small amounts of sleep but just curious as to know if this is my problem with my neck pain. My head also gets really sharp shocks of pain but they usually last for a few minutes and come back later on.

the past 2 days ive had horrible neck pain. i went to the ER today and my blood pressure was 140/97, and its usually in the normal range. why might it be high? could the pain be causing that?

ok, to make a LONG story short… I was in an auto accident where i was stopped at a red light and a woman in an SUV thought the light was green and slammed into me at full speed. my car was totalled and i’ve been dealing with major neck pain. i’ve got subluxation in my neck where basically all of the vertebrea have twisted to the right side the top of my spine is crooked and the curve of my neck has been straightened. and i have a badly pinched nerve in my collarbone. it’s been 6 weeks and i’m still in pain. i am not able to do my job anymore. the chiropractor says that he sees improvement but it’s going to be a slow recovery and if he can’t fix me he will send me to a specialist. i’m either going to have to quit or i’m going to get fired because i can’t do the duties that are require for my job and i keep missing work because of it. my question is, does anybody know of some way that i can get money to pay my bills while i’m out of work? i am going to get an injury settlement but i won’t see any of that money until i’m released from anything medical. i really need time off to heal because the problem is i’ve been working and haven’t been able to heal but i don’t know if there’s some way to get money from the insurance for that? by the way, the insurance company of the woman who hit me is paying for everything. i was also thinking of leave of absence but i know i won’t get paid that way either. i’m getting very worried. any advice?

I sleep on my side and wake up with a neck so stiff I can barely move it. I have tried firm and soft pillows, thick and thin. I want to get a pillow that is designed for neck pain but I have no idea what to get and what actually works. Any suggestions from those who have tried them would be appreciated.

I was involved in a 3 car accident. The car behind me hit me twice (once on the back right and once on the side as he swerved and lost control) causing me to hit the car in front of me. I was driving my dad’s car for the summer because I’m doing an internship away from home. Since my dad’s car is useless now, I needed to get a rental car. I would also like to get some medical expenses covered because I am experiencing back and neck pain. My questions are: Will the other person’s insurance cover the cost of the rental car although the car is not mine but I am the one using it for the summer? And should I get a lawyer to handle this situation? (Also, my dad is 8 hours away from here and the car is still in the tow lot since I am staying at an extended stay hotel and have no where to keep the car.)

Today I took the ACT. The first two sections wrre fine but in the last ones I completly screwed!
Suddenly when I started the third section I had a strong pain in my neck and I felt dizzy and sick. I wanted to rest but I couldn’t.

This will negativley lower my scores. So how can I avoid/treat/ prepare for neck pain, headache and sickness in tests??

I have really bad neck pain and a stiff neck. Now, I could deal with it but the problem is I’m going to a concert in 3 days and well… headbanging again with a stiff neck will be painful. Any way I can get rid of the pain beforehand?

I have a really bad neck pain along with my shoulders that have been hurting me for a long time. And also my joints, not to mention the hips and my right thigh. I’m in big pain! What’s the best medicine to use? Hopefully not a temporary relief ’cause applying ice does that a little. Thanks.

I didn’t wake up with the neck pain, as a matter of fact it didn’t start hurting until a couple hours later. When I turn my head to the right, or tilt my head upwards the pain is excruciating in the right side/shoulder area. When turn to the left or look down it doesn’t hurt as much if at all. I tried icy hot with not much relief, and if I try to stretch it becomes to unbearable. I can’t go to a doctor because I no longer have insurance. Any home remedies somebody can share?

I had a major accident on a rainy day. I was on the freeway when my car began to hydroplaning and crashed into a concrete wall. Luckily I did not hit anyone on the freeway. I have minor head injury (bruises) and neck pain. Would it be better to hire a lawyer or have my insurance take care of it? I have full cover insurance. I was also wondering if I can sue the car company because when the accident happens, my airbag did not deploy; despite the whole front car is destroy. I understand if the damage was on the side the airbag will not deploy but this is the whole front. The engine itself is smash. I was in a minor accident two years ago and my airbag did not deploy and this time it was a bigger accident and it still did not deploy.

The other party failed to yield the right of way entering an intersection. She was issued a citation for the accident and has current auto insurance. My wife suffered first degree burns on her arms and also back and neck pain. Her vehicle looked totaled with the front end completley caved in. Her vehicle is a 2004 Nissan Exterra with 40000 miles and it was almost paid off. We live in TX. My questions are… How much would she recieve to replace her car? Will she get a rental car to drive in the mean time? How long till this gets resolved? Should we expect a settlement for her injuries, lost wages, hospital bills? and should we look into hiring a personal injury lawyer or just let the insurance company handle it? I’d appreciate any insight thank you.

Hi, I just got a car accident 2 hours ago. I stopped at the yield sign because the cars were driving by, but then a car behind me just crashed into my car. I got out of the car but then the driver waved his hand angrily and told me to move the car the the side lane because cars are in the back. I was sitting in my car because of my neck pain, and he walked up to me. I opened the window but instead of saying are you okay? or i am sorry, he just said there is nothing wrong with your car. He told me to come out of the car. I came out and he showed me the place the crashed into and said that there’s no mark so your car should be fine and he must leave now. I asked him to give me his insurance and license number but he looked at me as if he just heard most ridiculous thing ever and said that there is no reason for him to provide any information to me because my car is in perfectly fine condition. I kept asking but he refused. Instead he gave me his phone number and just drove away. I memorized his plate number. I couldn’t call cops because I was on my way to go fix my cellphone. Right now my back and neck is in pain right now. I called my insurance company and provided all the information i had. I also called the lawyer and the lawyer told me that I must get payment for my injury, getting my car checked up, and time I must spend to do all these things. Lawyer told me that it would be hard case for me because since my car does not have any damage, there is no evidence, and I was not able to get his insurance company number and registration number. But now I kind of feel that I would have to pay more money on the lawyer because this is such a minor injury and collision. I don’t really want to spend my money on lawyers. Doesn’t your insurance company take care of all these or do I need a lawyer for this case? Thank you very much
