Nerve damage was done a few years prior to the neuropathy. Taking pain pills for the pain just isn’t getting it.

I have had this for 9 or 10 years and I’m in my mid 30s . I have tried pain pills but I’m very active and building a business and don’t want to be "Doped up " all the time. How can I best deal with this pain?

My snookums has a bad lower back and I’d like to help him through his pain. He forgot his pain pills.

Is there anything I can do to help relieve his pain?

I had an injury during gym last week and hurt my back badly. It hurts especially bad today and I can’t sleep because it hurts when I lay on my back, and on both sides. I know it’s the middle of the day, but I didn’t get much sleep last night due to the pain. O already took my pain pills the doctor prescribed about an hour ago but they’re not working. Please help! I have never been in any car accidents,never had a broken bone, never pulled any muscles. I have had 3 children. They r 9,7,4. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and I have 1 bulging disc in my neck and 3 in my lower back. I am constintly in chronic pain. I am only 29 . I feel like my doctor dose not under stand how much pain I really am in. I feel like I am walkin around in a swirling cloud. I have done physical therapy,steriod injections, steriod patches, anti inflammitories, muscle relaxers of all kinds. You name it I’ve tried it. Pain pills. Epiderial injections, massage therapy, I have been to the chriopractor. ( honestly I beleave they will mess u up more, just my opinion.) I have pain all over my neck,shoulers. Upper back, shouler blades, ribs,lower back, hips, thighs. Inner thighs.legs. arms. Wrist and hands. I suffer from muscle spasims all over te areas I just mentioned also. I have a couple questions about a surgery I underwent in 2002, the surgery was performed at a private hospital while I was in the ARMY in FT. Benning, GA. The local ARMY hospital couldn’t care for my problem so they sent me to this hospital off base, I had a Bakers Cyst in my left calf muscle and at the time knew very little about it or how to treat so I put my care in the hands of these doctors, which turned out to be a big mistake. The doctor immediately suggested surgery, so we set a date and what was supposed to be a small operation turned out to be a slab of calf muscle removed, 13 inch scar down the back of my leg along with a 8 day stay in the hospital being mainlined morphine 3 times a day. As a result I was medically discharged from the service and continue to suffer still to this day. Every doctor I have seen since have literally been speechless at the looks of the scar and manner in which this cyst was treated. I even saw the head of orthopedic a couple years ago and he measured my left calf almost 3 inches smaller than the right, I have been given a disability rating by the VA for 10% but have yet to get anything financially for it. The ortho doc said I suffer from severe muscle spasms and the pain in my leg is causing me to shift weight to the right which is effecting my posture, back and right knee. Several doctors have told me that they should have never cut me open, there are several medications that should have been used or tried first and not a single one was. This hospital ruined my career in the military, got me hooked on pain pills, I’m always in pain and can’t do any of the physical things I once did without severe consequences. I’m getting older now and am pissed off beyond belief. I want to be compensated for this, I’m going to be dealing with this pain and physical limitation for life, the shame of my early discharge and the pain medication I was prescribed for months after. What can be done about this? do I have a case? if you think I have a case leave your info in the comments and I will call first thing monday, I have copies of all my med records and want to go all the way with this. Though it will never make up for all I have lost.
Please help me, this has ruined a great deal of my life and left me in pain and restricted from the things I loved in life, I have been depressed as hell and need some satisfaction.
Also at the same time as the cyst removal the did an orthoscopic on my knee for torn meniscus, well x rays after the surgery showed my meniscus is still torn so they di absolutely nothing but screw me up and ruin my career.

pain pills but im in a ton of pain and am not getting up. is it necessary to go to the ER? won’t they just give me pain pills? btw im most certain i got the nerve damage from a nurse who hit my sciatic nerve while giving an injection.
no it was pain meds in liquid form that were given to me through injection but not an epidural and i got this shot two and a half weeks ago.

I’ve tried pain pills, epidural shots etc. I’m in constant pain from the moment I wake up in the morning. I got a new firm mattress and that almost has made my condition worse. I have another epidural shot coming in Sept. but I need some help or advice. I have to take pain pills just to get some relief because I have 2 toddlers. Help??

disks in my neck. I am having a really hard time sleeping I wake up in pain but don’t want to ask my obgyn for pain pills because I don’t want to make a big deal out of this. I am 4 1/2 months pregnant and don’t want to do anything that will harm the baby. What do you think I should do about this because otc meds don’t work?

I had surgery on L4/L5 and been having alot of leg pain and numb on the other leg. It has only been all most 4 weeks since the surgery. I have to take pain pills around the clock.Is this normal?

My boyfriend has no insurance and has went to the dr a couple times but it is expensive since he is paying cash and he really cannot afford to keep going. All they do is give 15 pain pills each time with some muscle relaxers which is just a temporary fix, soon as the meds are gone he is back in pain. Any suggestions or ideas to relieve his pain are appreciated.

Have any of you ever had a problem with you sciatic nerve while pregnant? What did you do to relive some of the pain? I’ve tried physical therapy already, pain pills, and walking. I really don’t want to go back to therapy and I don’t want to keep taking pills because that’s not good for the baby or me. Any help would be great I really need help!

I was rear ended 4 months ago. No doubt of the other guys guilt. He received 2 tickets for it and we even have the surveillance video from the store I was turning into. My question is, I received as they call it a soft tissue injury. I was taken by ambulance to the emergency room, MRIs showed the muscles affected were spasming severely. I was put on a 5 lb weight limit and pain pills and muscle relaxers. I was unable to do even routine things like sweep my floors let alone able to even pick up my children. The insurance company is not denying their responsibility but they only want to pay me 00 to cover my pain and suffering and mental anguish due to the recklessness of their client. I missed work, I have unpaid medical bills still that are currently in collections, and I still have pain if I over due it at work to this day. They are willing to pay my medical bills of 00. I have asked for ,000 to cover what I believe the pain and suffering and the total disruption to my life for the last 4 months since their client negligently hit me. They claim the 00 is their final offer, am I asking for too much? Or are they just not willing to pay what they should. I know of people who have gotten alot more for alot less happening.
It took me 3 1/2 months to decide what I have been though does equal money because I didn’t want to sound greedy. But realisticly how else to you get validation for the heartache, pain, stress, and interuption of your life? I feel by not "paying" something they are belittling the real pain, the loss of experiences, the loss of time that I missed out and can never get back because of their clients carelessness.

Boo to those of you who try to judge and down grade what I am doing. 5 months ago I may have said the same thing as some of you, then I have had to go through the hell of this "accident". Don’t judge me until you have walked in my shoes. For those of you with the good advice, I have planned on settling for less without a lawyer, mainly because the guy’s insurance policy won’t pay more than ,000 so if I used a lawyer I would probably only get -6,000 anyways. my basset hurt his back jumping out of the tub. he was fine for a few days then he started walking kind of drunk in the back part of his legs. i took him to vet and put him on muscle rex. and pain pills and predsoine. he could walk then all of a sudden he is dragging his feet behind him. he cannot walk. he is in good spirits and eats, drinks water and pulls himself outhside for the bathroom and he is doing all that ok. i do not know what to do. he is happy wags his tail and flaps his ears. please help with any answer. ….regards dian e hall and toby joe hall

I have a pinched nerve in my neck. It’s driving me crazy. It hurts from my neck all the way down my arm, and there is no relief. Pain pills don’t work, laying down doesn’t help, I don’t know what to do.
