I had Spinal Surgery a month ago.
The pain started about a week or so ago.
The best I can describe it as is a Burning/Itching pain whenever my foot touches anything.
It is very uncomfortable when I try to sleep, and it takes a good 20 minutes to fall asleep.
Could this be Pinched/Stretched nerves? Or is it more like a fungal infection?
The painkillers I was given was Percocet- Stopped about two weeks ago
Anti-biotics Aphelexalin- Two weeks ago
Thank you.
Also, only the top part of my foot, is very tender.

My uncle is about to do a spinal surgery to correct one of vertebrae wedge protruding out in his lower back. Right now he’s taking painkillers but it is not helping much and he wouldn’t take big doses either. So is there any natural remedy/light excersises/ he can do to reduce the pain before the surgery. It will be a bit away. He’s in early healthy 50s
Also after the surgery, what sort of light excersice can he do to start rehab?
Are there any food that can benefit the recovery process or any that should be avoided? Calcium-rich foods?
Any advices will be much appreciated.

I was in an almost head on collision yesterday. Yesterday, my knee and my shoulder were aching. Today, the back of my neck hurts very bad. I can’t really turn my head too much. My knee is bruised black and in pain. My upper back has suddenly started aching a little today.
I received medical attention yesterday and the doctor prescribed a medicine for me along wtih painkillers and compresses. How long should this last? And is this factored in as I’ll probably have to sue the (uninsured) driver who caused the accident. What is next please? Thanks.

I suffered from a slipped disc a year or so ago, after months of mild backache due to back posture and obesity. I haven’t really been the same since the incident but I lost 2 stone (not enough weight to lose but a start) and was starting to get stronger. Being on my feet for long periods of time and sitting down caused some problems but I was 90% ok really.
I narrowly missed having to have surgery because I had numbness down one side of my leg… it was only mild numbness and I had horrific sciatia too. the numbness never really went away to be honest but my physio and dr were kinda laid back about it.
2 weeks ago I had a bad flare up. My lower back pain was kinda bad (although not acute) and the numbness in my buttock, saddle and back of the thigh seems worse. My DR thinks I am fine and the physio said that the disc must just be a bit inflamed again and not to pain but, I am panicking, I thought that if you get numbness you have to have surgery because it can damage your nerves?? My legs also feel jellyish sometimes, like weak but to b honest it’s worse when im worried so that might be anxiety.
I am doing my exercises to strengthen my core, losing weight and improving my posture (I am not needing painkillers) but I am worried that this is getting ignored, should I just calm down? lol I am going to rome next week for 2 days and I am worried about that, as I had to cancel a holiday 2 weeks ago because of being worried that the disc will come out again!
Help!

My vet has told me my dog has a slipped disc but didn’t take an xray. He told me to keep him caged for two weeks then to start physio. But i’m wondering if thats what it is. His back end has gone completely but he can hardly use his front legs and is curling his front paws in. He also seems off balance when he’s laying down and just moving his head. He’s on painkillers so hopefully not too uncomfortable but i’m very worried. By the way he’s a Jack Russell cross with allsorts. Does this sound like a slipped disc or something else??

About 2 months ago i injured my back due to heavy lifting. The doctor claims it was a prolapsed disc which pressed against the sciatic nerve running down my left leg.
I’m going to physical therapy for it, and they have me doing all sorts of excersises, but I’m afraid that they aren’t helping as much as they should. Somedays the pain is gone, but on others it is back as strong as ever. I’ve been on painkillers and muscle relaxants which I found I am allergic to, so I am currently not taking any medication for it.
Does anybody have any suggestions as to what I should do other than not straining the injured area? I’d like to avoid surgery. Thank you in advance.
